I do like the show although I guess as I've been watching it I'm starting to like character dramas like this less. which is weird because I liked The Sopranos and I'd like others but for some reason Mad Men hasn't clicked with me yet. I'm on season 2 episode 10. I do find Don Draper intriguing but I'm already kind of dismissive of him considering the amount of lying he does to his wife which for some reason is always a sticking point with me whenever that's used in shows.
I'll keep watching though but two seasons and I can't say I've been rocked away
3 and 4 are generally considered the peak, but it's still not anything mindblowing. the series maintains a pretty consistent level of quality especially once theyve gotten the tone right post-pilot
It’s weird. I was enjoying the show but wasn’t really seeing the critical acclaim. But there’s an episode in season 4 that made me go wow…that was good. And I wasn’t sure if the show had always been good or if the quality got significantly better.
But those early seasons are great on rewatch once you already know and like the characters.
The lying to women is basically part of his character flaw, he’s a fake.
yeah I know
>don't like a show
>let me create a thread to discuss it!
It's a good show, btw im trans forgot to add that as well to previous post
>No, you can't discuss why you think a show is bad!
>You can only discuss stuff you like!
Yes.
shit rules fuck you op
this now a pete thread
Rory no!
I love how everyone sides against him at first but on the rewatch he's your boy
hell yeah dude
he has his moments but I certainly wouldn't call him my boy. he's too neurotic
because the actor is just like this irl
>In 2021, Kartheiser appeared in season three of Titans as Jonathan Crane. Kartheiser was the subject of at least two complaints and two internal investigations by Warner Bros Television over allegations of disruptive, juvenile behavior and inappropriate comments on set. The first investigation concluded that Kartheiser's behavior warranted corrective action. The second complaint was received several weeks later and resulted in the studio assigning a representative to monitor Kartheiser on set. There were reportedly other complaints of alleged misconduct which were investigated but not corroborated. Kartheiser denied the allegations, with his spokesperson stating, "Warner Bros investigated this matter and made clear to Mr. Kartheiser its expectations for behavior on the set, and he agreed to comply with their directives."
He finna sexually harrass the underage girls on set on god fr fr just like that driving school gool bussin bussin
I'm proud of him.
Absolute state of ESG directives.
Unironically filtered. The last good show to appear on television.
How is it good?
If you really have to ask, you're a pleb.
This show was so directionless that the only thing keeping me watching at multiple points was Roger's bants.

unfiltered
I've always thought the main character of this was the setting. Don's whole story is boring af and I skip past any of the scenes where he's in california.

dialogue
He clearly made a beeline for the phone booth.
He clearly made a slight turn right after Pete opened the door
he slowed his walk when he saw Pete, because Pete was already looking at him. It's still Pete's fault for being so paranoid that he had his fucking eyes trained on the elevator door before Harry even appeared
1. Pete has his fucking eyes trained on the elevator doorway before Harry even appears
2. Harry exits the elevator and moves into view so that Pete's eyes happen to be trained on his face
3. Seeing this in his peripheral vision, and perceiving it would be rude to not acknowledge Pete, Harry rotates his head slightly and is probably in a second going to give The Nod as a polite but quick greeting.
4***. Pete seeing Harry turn his head toward him assumes Harry wants to talk to him so he opens the door.
5. As soon as the door opens Harry takes a detour from his straight path and turns to the phonebooth.
TLDR: It was Pete's fault
