Boringsons SoulessPants: THE MOVIES

Why were this movies awfully boring compared to their respective shows?

Also any more examples like this?

>funny show exist
>they make a movie about it
>the movie changes the style (and it's a bad thing)
>the show continues but the style changes and it's modeled after THE MOVIE
>the show in the current day is a zombie franchise

I unironically started a good thread about something that most people believe but don't point out too often

That's because each respective series was meant to end with the movie, but studio execs can't let cash cows die.

You accidentally made your thread a statement while thinking you were asking something.

    >These movies ruined the series
    Yes

    >Any other examples lile this?
I wouldn't say it happens that often, i mean it does but that's because:

1.-Everything these days is shit by default
2.- Most cartoons are not multigenerational succeses like Spongebob or Simpsons so it doesn't hurted that much

I’m sure if the Simpsons movie was made during its peak instead of its zombie era it probably would have been better remembered.

Which show is the bigger meme goldmine? I swear even normies can laugh at the most immoral memes if the template is the office, spongebob or simpsons

Even though both of their og creators were in charge of their respective movies, you can't deny that some of the creative control was sacrificed in order to adapt the stories to "movie format" making unnecesary long plot points like bob & patrick losing the pattymobile and having to adventure on foot//the simpsons escaping the dome+hotel+alaska. They were unironically too long for what is usually a 10-20 min episode

The Bob's Burgers movie was actually pretty good

I rewatched it today and I really liked it, I wish more "TV movies" took elements from their respective shows

The Bob's Burgers Movie was basically just an extended episode with more production values.

that's what these kinds of movies should be because too often they lose the charm of the original

The Simpsons movie was pretty funny when it came out. Especially relative to it's concurrent seasons of the Simpsons

I rewatched the first Spongebob movie and it was even better than I remembered. It was fantastic from start to finish, and it was a perfect bookend to the classic era. What about it is bad to you?

Not OP but I think it's not a bookend but the beginning of the end, it has a lot of the same problems as nu-Spongebob
      >Patrick and Spongebob are just oblivious, moronic babies
      >overreliance on goofy faces
      >Ugly new character designs like the Neptun family
      >out of place over the top gross-out humor like the old lady anglerfish monster
