When my grandma had dementia it was tough but it gets really annoying after a while, like you can only say "It's me your grandson" so many times. Eventually you have to have a little fun with it.

It's morally okay to mock people with dementia. They wont even remember it after 5 minutes. It's like calling a baby "homosexual". it just goes one ear and out the other

        Anonymous

How often are you calling babies homosexuals?

I’d never do that to a baby but I always call my dogs shit like nagger and homosexual. Even kike or shylock when they’re begging for food.

I would never. I’ve known multiple people in my life with it and I’m convinced that until a cure is found (it won’t), that anyone with dementia should be euthanized.

It’s a disease that strips you of what makes you human. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, not even Hillary Clinton.

    >Bruce can't talk much and doesn't seem to understand a lot of what other people are saying, so Emma was really his voice and communicator. There are days when you see bits of the old Bruce, but it is short lived. He seems to be slipping away from them more and more and it breaks their hearts.

My dad had the same issue, lots of people talking was hard for him because he couldn't focus right, there would be too many things going on and when he did manage to join a conversation then he wouldn't know exactly what it was about, he would suddenly talk about an unrelated subject, derailing everything, but you could see he didn't mean to do it because in his head it made sense. This man is going to be unrecognizable within a year, the disease makes you grow old so fast that you can see it in someone's face. That vulnerable expression of not being able to recognize the things happening around you. Like changing into a ghost. He's lucky to have family looking out for him, it's more rough on them than him to be honest, but they have each other. I can imagine that some of them might say that Bruce is no longer their dad or friend or man they knew, at some point it is as if you're caring for a stranger, every bit of them gets lost in the disease.

Demi Moore is pretty but she has a strong manish face with a strong jaw. Bruce is a masculine strong jawed male. Put those two together and it produced super jawed women.

For pure eugenics reasons, Bruce should have found the prettiest dantiest looking Ukrainian woman with a soft femme jaw.

My grandmother has dementia. Nothing scary about it, chuck a glass of martini in her, pull out the boardgames and she's happy as a plum. I've never seen her smile more than after she got dementia, at times she got this childlike energy about her. Curious and upbeat, sure there are times she's confused and looks lost. But as far as degenerative diseases go, there are worse fates than dementia.

Ela disease or any kind of disease that ends up with your mind trapped inside a permanently paralized body. I find it worse than dementia because in this case you are fully aware of what is happening to you the whole time. It's one the few things I would ask God What the fuck was he thinking.

Dementia is only scary during the early stages. Once you lose your mind you're not capable of understanding that your brain is wasting away.

I would say late onset late onset muscular dystrophy is one of the worse ways to go. It doesn't effect your mind and you'll have half a century of strong mobility before you're unable to move. You'll remember every bike ride to school or walk to the corner store as your body twists into a useless mess of dead limbs.

Used to work with a bloke who had dementia. Started noticing little things over time, lapses in memory and what not. The penny dropped when he started responding to things we'd said as if we'd said something else entirely. Eventually at our insistence he went for a cognitive assessment a failed miserable. Retired about a week after that and died in a care home about a year later. It's weird watching someone deterioate so rapidly.

The rapid decline was probably accelerated by him not working. Him having to keep his mind on things probably slowed the process down.

There's no way he could have kept working, he was a liability, but his son didn't help by just dumping him in the care home and leaving him there. Might have fared better if his wife was still alive but she was a giant alcy and died a year before he was diagnosed.

It rots holes in everything, though there are different kinds of dementia, you can get vascular dementia where blood sugar problems damage blood flow, its not all thew same prion based stuff

No dementia is just the result of your soul being raped by a demon so much that it can no longer control the body. They do it so they can temporarily inhabit your body(when dementia patients rage and say hurtful things).

We have exact models of fruit fly brains mapped and simulated. We can't get them to work correctly despite know the basic level of how action potentials on axons interacts with each other to produce thoughts. Not go full god of the gaps, but there is still plenty of room for a soul as it seems we have to model chemical behavior down to the quantum level to get things to work.

It's usually the memory that goes first, but then other functions start to go. The reason it kills so quickly is because, like what happened to the guy I worked with, they get left to rot in a care home. They live a lot longer if they're kept active.

Why do people with dementia die so soon?
Does the disease affect other parts of the body?
Is it just a coincidence and they were going to die that soon anyway?

Some don't, I know someone who's mother developed dementia in their 70's and lived until their 80's, absolute nightmare.

My grandmother got alzheimers and i gave her a ride to thanksgiving dinner once and on the 10 minute car ride she said "so you got stuck giving me a ride." 4 times, thinking the ride just started.
Im now noticing small things with my mother, her forgetting things or telling me the same story multiple times in the same week. I just know im going to end up with a rotten brain but without a family to take care of me.... just black nurses that will abuse me when im old.
Thank you for reading my blogpost

there's lifestyle choices that can reduce the chances of developing dementia, exercise, diet and apparently Sauna use can massively reduce your chances

he supported President George H. W. Bush for reelection and was an outspoken critic of Bill Clinton. Willis was an invited speaker at the 2000 Republican National Convention, and supported George W. Bush that year.

Willis also stated that he is a supporter of gun rights, stating, "Everyone has a right to bear arms. If you take guns away from legal gun owners, then the only people who have guns are the bad guys."

In February 2006, Willis was in Manhattan to promote his film 16 Blocks with reporters. One reporter attempted to ask Willis about his opinion on the Bush administration, but was interrupted by Willis in mid-sentence when he said: "I'm sick of answering this fucking question. I'm a Republican only as far as I want a smaller government, I want less government intrusion. I want them to stop shitting on my money and your money and tax dollars that we give 50 percent of every year. I want them to be fiscally responsible and I want these goddamn lobbyists out of Washington. Do that and I'll say I'm a Republican. I hate the government, OK? I'm apolitical. Write that down. I'm not a Republican."

Willis's name was in an advertisement in the Los Angeles Times on August 17, 2006, that condemned Hamas and Hezbollah and supported Israel in the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war.

Although there was that guy who lived a completely normal life with zero symptoms until he got a headache in his 50s and found out he'd had a giant growth taking up half his brain cavity since birth and had been getting by with about 40% of a brain. Thoughts are strange things.
