Charmed with Prue
Charmed. Cast is hotter.
>those old hags
>hotter than prime SMG
Are you a fricking idiot?
Yes, I'm serious. I'd rather bang past-her-prime Rose McGowan than ~~*Sarah Michelle Gellar*~~ any day of the week.
prime charmed cast utterly mogged SMG
b***h needed a nose job
never post again
Based heterosexual
Buffy Obviously. How is this even a question?
Comparing Buffy to Charmed... what?
lol, it's not even in the same universe when it comes to quality. Buffy is so much better it's not even a question.
Left: prime 20 year old womanlet defeats vampires thrice her size
Right: sitcom about single hags with magic
Buffy. Cordelia was hotter than any girl on either show.
I would argue that Eliza Dushku and Amy Acker are hotter. But to each his own
She was on Charmed for a few episodes.
Buffy and it isn't even close
This is the dumbest question anyone has ever posted on this board. "What's better? Hill Street Blues or Paw Patrol?"
The worst episode of Buffy wrecks the best episode of Charmed.
>the worst episode of Buffy
Once More with Feeling?
That is a great episode and you are a moron
the worst is the Xander centric episode where he defuses a bomb in sunnydale high
Frick off The Zeppo is great
The only good scene in that episode is when Faith rapes Xander and it's played for laughs
The emding is great.
The Zeppo is a brilliant episode. It basically subverts the idea of A/B plots. We follow Xander in what should be the B plot but is made into the A-plot whilst Buffy and the gang save the world (again) in what is meant to tbe A plot but presented as the B plot.
It's extremely well done.
It's a deconstruction of the show itself all the way down to Angel and Buffy having the big emotional moment and Xander walking in and ruining it. It's kino.
The concept is good, specially the way you write it down, but the actual execution??
not so much
xander sucks as a protag
>Angel and Buffy having the big emotional moment and Xander walking in and ruining it
Sarah laughs at Nicholas doing his schtick on this scene but since we can see only the back of her head they didn't need to reshoot, but they ended up leaving a frame or two of her turning her head still laughing.
that's awesome, never knew that and been a buffy fan for 25 years
how dare you
>What's better? Hill Street Blues or Paw Patrol?"
Paw patrol it actually has plot, character development and sex appeal. Hill street blues doesn’t go any and boring.
I believe in Prue supremacy
why is shannon duckerty's face so crooked
it's like looking at a fricking picasso
buffy is the better one and the one without a feminist racebended reboot
>and the one without a feminist racebended reboot
Yet.
the entire concept of the "dumb cheerleader has to learn to be a kick ass vampire killer" doesn't really work in the strong woman overcompensating feminist circle jerk narrative.
She has to grow and learn about herself and abilities etc...she cant do that because women have to be perfect strong characters from the very beginning.
Which is one of the reasons why if a Buffy reboot happens, it will be atrocious.
That doesn't mean somebody won't try.
It also doesn't work if the girl in question isn't a stereotypical dumb cheerleader. Black girls certainly have negative stereotypes around them, but if you had to pick between a random black girl and a random white girl to stand between you and an axe murderer there isn't a single person on the planet who would take the white girl, and that's the fundamental reason a black buffy reboot is a bad idea. The show works by playing opposites with stereotypes, and there has to be that stereotype to play off in the first place.

>Screenrant
Nope.
>falling for screenbait articles
charmed was more fun
buffy was better written
Joss Whedon is a fricking hack and was never good. The best thing he'll ever do is die.
Marti Noxon was there too you fricking dumb Black person mongoloid
In other words, he had a tard wrangler.
I just watched a Buffy marathon. Never watched it when it was on, but holy 90s flashback
I haven't seen either in around 15 years but I remember that Charmed had better music, while Buffy had a more enjoyable plot.
I like Charmed, too bad the final season was so shit
Buffy, but holy frick does it drop off hard after Dawn enter the picture. Some kino moments but overall meh.
Charmed. Prue is a CUTE!
How bad is the Charmed reboot?
2 are mexican and one is black. One of the 3 is a lesbian too.
I couldn't make it through the first episode.
Really bad. Its a wildly unrealistic depiction of literally everything from the mundane university setting to the magic to the character motivations set to overdone feminist shilling that regularly attacks people before they've even done the bad thing in question. And the actual plotlines are fairly nonsensical and immediately over escalate to shit like the source by season 1 for no reason. Its not even watchably bad, its just bad.
Each Charmed girl has shown us her breasts at some point. Buffy not so much.
are we taking in angel into account or just buffy?
Just Buffy.
angel is a pedo and and a peeping tom
True but he's also incredibly handsome so it's okay.
he's also an irish man born into a noble family back in the days when marrying 12 year old girls was a-ok
THEY'RE 25 YEARS OLD INTERPRETING 16 YEARS OLDS YOU SICKO
Both shows are garbage but at least charmed had a mermaid episode.
Never seen either one
Buffy concept looks promising
How does it hold up? Worth a watch?
First season is extremely dated but has it's moments. Season 2 is a massive jump in quality and is pure kino going forward, except the last 2 seasons are a bit less so. What you will see is that it was pretty much a blueprint for most modern shows so a lot of the stuff that made it so special back in the 90's will seem a bit more commonplace to you now.
the whole idea for the show was taking the metaphorical "demons" of the high school experience and making them literal demons/supernatural events
girl feels so ignored she turns invisible and goes on a killing spree
girl loses her virginity and her boyfriend literally turns evil
boy turns nasty and bullies his childhood best friend because HE'S BEEN POSSESSED BY A HYENA
etc
it's actual genius and the source of endless stories, but once they leave high school after season three it all falls apart and turns into a generic fantasy soap opera for morons
Honestly, I'd rather watch the worst episodes of X-Files than any of that garbage.
the problem is that buffy couldn't fully transition into adulthood
the fact that she didn't charge money for slayering and had to work at that fast food joint was a dumb move
>charge money for slayering
Ah yes she should have just sent a bill to the Sunnyvale city council every month
Wasn't the mayor a vampire anyway?
Nah, he was just a run of the mill spooky guy trying to become a demon.
That's what Angel did in LA and it worked for him
>and it worked for him
One of the running themes of the series was how often they worked pro bono and had to scramble to find bullshit cases to pay the bills, at least until they all signed on with Wolfram and Hart.
Buffy could have worked as a bouncer for the Bronze, the only nightclub in all sunnydale and the main headquarters of all of its monsters ever
To the rest of the town she's just a scrawny teenage girl, though. She couldn't really get a job that takes advantage of being the slayer without revealing her power level.
all of sunnydale high knew, the incel shooter even gave her an award as "protector of the school"
I mean yes, you're correct about that, but the show also kept up the conceit about it somehow being a secret/case of mass denial for the entire rest of the series.
>and the main headquarters of all of its monsters ever
you didn't watch the show
The watcher council should be able to pay her
no, the problem was the writing staff didn't have a wellspring of story to draw from anymore so it turned into a cringe soap opera
>it's a Wesley episode
>when he was railing that lawyer while also having the vampire hunter woman chained up in the closet
Nice it's been a while since I saw a new buffyverse webm. Any chance we have Faith vs Angelus in Morpheus?
The one that wasn't written by Josh Whedon
This
Buffy for seasons 1 to 3 because they were good.
Charmed for the seasons 5 to 8 because they start going full cheesecake and every episode was about getting the girls to wear loose outfits and act sexy.
Built for big CHUD wiener.
Oh shit I remember this, the swim team were rapemonster aquamen
Aquamaaaaaaaaaaan
is that Prison Break guy
there are a bunch of zoomer girls who react to buffy on youtube and nearly all of them hate xander
you can see them trying and failing to wrap their minds around a teenage male character who isn't constantly apologizing for his teen maleness
so glad i'm not a zoomer
Women I knew who watched this back in the day hated Xander too lol.
I grew up with Buffy and even now I love it. But, it is literally the start of Whedon style dialogue taking over. Granted, it took another 20 years but now everything is written like buffy and I hate it.
it worked with buffy because they were teenagers so it felt natural for them to talk like that, the adult characters in the early seasons didn't
it's when he started writing all his adult characters to speak like teenagers that it went to shit
I dunno, I think it's because in a bubble Whedon style writing is fun and fresh but now it's the main style of media it makes me wish Buffy never happened.
you're a moron then
I enjoyed Buffy when it was current but have since grown extremely allergic to whedonshit. Would rewatching be worth it?
Buffy is better but Charmed had the hotter cast.
Buffy has angel and he's based so I go with Buffy
Buffy has Spike and he's based so I go with Buffy
Angel is cringe
Spike > Angel
But the combo of Spike and Angel in S5 on Angel, is kino
Season two Spike (with Dru) is based
romantic lead Spike is cringe af
I was obsessed with both in high school, although Charmed was never nearly as good, writing far below Buffy's, although superior fanservice and scenes of Pheebs being raped by ghosts and perhaps a bit comfier. It dropped off hard after Season 5 though, Chris was a homosexual and the "Magic School" bullshit was horrible. Buffy was great from beginning to end yes even Season 7 don't even at me.
>Charmed fan thinks season 7 of Buffy was good
wow, it's almost like you have no standards
no u
These were my sister's favorite shows
Peak SMG is my dream girl.
same
i had picrel as a huge poster on my wall as a teenager
the things that poster bore witness to...
I had this, as well as a Cordelia poster from Season 1 of Angel
i kind of miss posters tbh
Buffy and is not even close.
