The story actually is that some animators in their spare time made a cartoon featuring Mickey and Minnie fricking in their spare time, showed it at Walt’s birthday party, Walt pretended to laugh and asked who made it, then when the animators came forward immediately fired them, left the building, and allegedly had all copies destroyed. It’s probably a bullshit story too. The main source is the book Walt Disney: Hollywood's Dark Prince, which is chock-full of errors and completely unsubstantiated bullshit including this weird bit about Walt being 10 years older than he claimed because he was really born in Spain.
