More than likely they see what Disney+ has done, making their service a nexus for all their Marvel content and streaming only stuff. They want to do the same, so they're moving all the properties onto their streaming service. That and a lot of the DC shows sucked. Only the Flash and Superman shows seem to be of any level of quality. They might have easily thought they could devote the budgets from the shittier shows to the ones that have legs.
I got cable about a year ago just to see what the deal was. Didn't get the biggest channel package, but decent amount. It's a total scam. Everything's taxed and it's like $100 a month or something. Way cheaper just to get like 6 different streaming services. I don't have any though.

What exactly is The CW's deal with Netflix? I read once that Netflix keeps those shows for five years after they finish for the shows they have. If that's the case it's going to take awhile for a lot of prime content to be available to HBO Max.
Well the CW networks are being sold to Nexstar media, and they want to change the type of programming on there. So it makes sense to just put the currently running shows onto the streaming service instead of cancelling them all.
I hope this happens for adult swim and they go the route of netflix just greenlighting any shows so we can actually get some watchable stuff from them anytime soon
