Can anyone explain the hype of the 'Oppenheimer/Barbie' thing?

Can anyone explain the hype of the 'Oppenheimer/Barbie' thing? I have no intention of seeing either of them, but I wanna know why normies are sperging out about them as if they're a part of some recolution of cinema. As far as I gather, Oppenheimer is a biopic about a physicist who was behind the Manhattan Project and Barbie is a movie about a fricking toy, both sound boring as frick.

It's two movies with vastly different tones and topics releasing on the same day, it's like how people memed Isabelle from Animal Crossing with Doomguy because New Horizons and Doom Eternal released on the same day
It helps that both movies are actually good too

This, it's just the juxtaposition of who very different things released on the same day that had a lot of people wanting to see both for different reasons.

right wing people believe the elites in charge of the country have a secret pedophilia ring hidden and use child traffic, a topic everyone agrees with, to fight against globalism, lgbt and the left
      its that simple

So if they want to prove it's a conspiracy theory that elites in charge of the country are pedophiles and sex trafficking children across borders, why don't they release Epstein's client list? Why don't they make public all the blackmail tapes and illicit encounters?

The film was made before the Epstein stuff was officially exposed and they sat on it for years. Wonder why...

It's called "viral marketing." Companies use shills and bots on social media to create seemingly "organic" online hype for their product. Normies are moronic and fall for it again and again ad infinitum. It's no coincidence that while the movie industry is facing catastrophe, the biggest meme suddenly is to see two films at once at the theater for funny hahas.

I think its just because they were both released at the same time. They make a good contrast since the subject matter is so different one is about shrieking entitled feminist rage and the other is about white men actually doing something and changing the world.

Marketing gimmick. Create a fake competition and get morons to spend money watching both movies to compare them.

SOCIAL MEDIA IS MADE FOR ADVERTISING. Half the videos you see are paid for, the other half are people doing it because they wanna be with the trend.
