Can Warnerbros stop forcing Superman to be a christ figure in mainstream? No one can tell that it's a consequence that this keeps popping up in all media.

Geeks can't cope with all that childhood bullying and trauma if they can't take the childish things they enjoyed as kids and place and make them more "adult" and pretentious.
It's disturbing. It was in Superman returns, Smallville, the animated movies, the fricking dcau...It has nothing to do with being "adult." It's unsettling that this mandate is there.
It's not a mandate, they do it because every writer who does it thinks he's being original and smart. Comparing Superman to Jesus is the 2nd most hackiest thing any comic writer can do.
The 1st is the evil Superman trope, of course.
If something constantly pops up repeatedly even in a fricking CW show with teen drama then it's a consistent higher up mandate.
It isn't. The higher ups don't care outside of how much money the shit makes. Comic writers really are just that hacky.
niche comic writers have nothing to fricking do with half of this shit. If it's ALWAYS there then it's a higher up the ladder intervention. Every character has forced mandates on a case by case basis. Keep denying it when it shows up again in Legacy.
>Keep denying it when it shows up again in Legacy.
Superman will be too busy talking about POGS or REO Speedwagon to be bothered with that sort of nonsense.
Mary and Joseph
Martha and Jonathan
Superman is a symbol of hope
Always stated to be the earth's savior
He won't because meddling from unseen faces will force it in again.
It's a giant conspiracy at Warner to indoctrinate America's children into being churchies
I AM JESUS
I AM JESUS
He isn't, which is why Warner bros and DC needs to stop.
You're right. He's Moses.
No, that guy from Tron was like Moses.
>No one can tell that it's a consequence that this keeps popping up in all media.
Are you a bot?
I agree, who the frick started this autistic trend? Zack Snyder?
no, earlier, probably James Gunn
You people are in DENIAL.
Which is weird because Superman is supposed to be a Moses analog rather than Christ, I mean he was made by israelites after all.
Moses story was a parallel to Christ's journey before he came to earth. So no it's not weird.
And Christ made by female-jew, and god of israelites, so?
If Moses was the last Israelite and became the protector of Egypt.
Superman wears red and blue like in the painting of the last supper.
>Warner Bros.
They do it in the comics, too.
Someone did a break down of comics all the way in the beginning of Superman's creation. It shows a bunch of comic panels all the way up to now about how hope is the strong force in DC and how it linked back to Superman being born. This goes way deeper than people think.
There's a cross in the background. Superman also gets "resurrected" in the Justice League movie and saves everyone on earth to restore peace.
Superman represents Christ and Batman is the Devil. Superman is the Simba to Batman's Scar.
Lion King has a similar story with the whole Troubled with identity, someone dies, conflicts with the darkness, overcomes the darkness, and then balance is restored on earth when the Light rules again.
Simba has the same sun symbolism like Superman.
That's a naked woman.
I said the sun anon, not the subminimal message drawing.
>Batman is the Devil.
Correct, a girl calls Batman the devil in the movie.
Superman has more in common with Doc Savage, Hugo Danner, John Carter of Mars, and mythology like Heracles. Despite what the mainstream says, Superman's origins are neither very israeli or Christian (revisionist history to make him seem more Abrahamic than he actually is), not even his creators were THAT israeli. He's no Moses or Jesus, but DC keeps trying to make him a Messiah figure when arguably, Wonder Woman is more suited to that role.
>DC keeps trying to make him a Messiah figure
Why do you think that is? Surely it has nothing to do with antichrist propaganda right or this
Or the fact that his name Kal-El means voice of God.
I believe it comes down to his popularity: Superman is considered by the culture we live in to be THE superhero, if not "the first". He rescues cats from trees, stops the bad guys, and always saves the day. America is very Christian and tends to view pop culture through the lens of Christianity: of course THE most well known superhero would be deemed the pop fiction "Christ". And so, DC would follow this reception.
The issue I have with this is that Superman isn't Jesus no matter how anyone tries to spin it.
Jesus' "character" within the New Testament is to serve as the Ultimate Savior, the Messiah: the all-loving, all-embracing, all-forgiving King of the israelites, and son of God sent to redeem mankind of the original sin. Although he is not without his rebelliousness and anger, Jesus is defined more by his kindness and patience than anything else. He is "pure" in this sense - free of sin altogether.
Then you immediately pick up the earliest Superman comics and Clark is defined by his anger. Clark is vocal. Clark is the circus strongman only now he can jump a hundred feet and punch boulders. He is impulsive, loud and angry and driven by Id.
Superman is closer to Mister Fantastic or Bane and DC does not understand this, nor do most of his diehard fans, all taking heavy inspiration from Doc Savage especially: the Science Hero Ubermensch who is not only peak in physicality, but also in mind. Clark's a nerd and a jock fused together, capable of beating you up and then making a machine that can fix you just so he can beat you up again.
stfu james gunn you fricking hack
what's wrong with being a christ figure? whipping people in a church because they're not in your cult seems pretty apt for the modern era
Huh?
