Not at all. Blade Runner was made before Ridley Scott injected Chlorox into his brain and it's absolute kino. BR2049 isn't exactly goyslop but it's forgettable at best
The movie was kino until it went FULL YELLOW. Bringing in Harrison was a mistake. Should've just been K running around the city. Loved all the city scenes but then it went FULL YELLOW.
Deckard worked as a motivation for K becoming a real boy and it was also nice seeing one of Harrison's returns to a character have a happy ending for once.
no, absolutely not. the sequel is good, but how dare people try to claim it's better than the original. i guess if this thread was just bait it was a good one
Imagine if avatar went in depth about the awkwardness of a relationship between a Na'vi alien and a bio replicant avatar, shit is boring and a waste of time and a ripoff of mary shelly's frankenstein.
i agree
and i havent even seen new one
No
This has literally never been a argument.
Everyone has always agreed it was better.

no albeit coming close it lacks a lot of the soul of the original
The original is so good. Cronenweth was a master.
The only thing this film does better is its protagonist.
i agree
and i havent even seen the old one
nah, book is the best check it out
I think it would be better if some of the scenes were cut down for pacing, but still pretty good
I agree it is too long. Probably could have done without the pointless resistance people.
did they know joi stood for 'jerk off instructions' when they made the movie?
Of course they did.
But it was funny seeing asmrartists role-playing as JOI and not knowing about the term.
>asmrartists role-playing as JOI
i didn't realise these existed now i have a jerk off session planned
i love 2049 with all my heart but that is not true anon

No way
Chad here I agree
Onions here, I agree
I won't say it's better but I will agree that it's a a sequel that holds up to the standards of the first (Final Cut) one.
I know this is total bait. The Original Cyberpunk movie is le bad…because the goose is in the new one
I didn't say the original was bad i said the sequel was better.
you almost got it: the sequel isnt bad but the original is better

First time I watched in the theater and though it was alright.
Couple of years later I decided to watch again because /misc/ kept posting this meme.
Only then I realized what a fucking masterpiece this was.
Never, the original is still a visual triumph and its themes are more profound.
"the original" as it is now or as it was when it was released with harrison ford narrating over everything as a parody of bogart?
