    >DUDE YOU DON'T GET IT THE ENDING IT AMBIGUOUS DUDE IT'S LIKE HE COULD EITHER BE DEAD OR ALIVE YOU DON'T KNOW FOR SURE IT'S UP FOR INTERPRETATION
Let me guess you also like slow burn atmospheric horror movies with no jump scares

Something about this whole episode creeped me out. Everything seems off, not just the blatant stuff either.

It was like a toned down dream episode.
Given the fact that I've seen it so many times and still get that feeling, yeah I probably have to give this the nod.

you're on the right path anon. here's a hint for ya: uncle philly saying to butch

phil leotardo is stuck in the same loop as tony, perpetuated by the spiritual entities who plan his "death" in the sitdown scene. phil has just started to realise this and that's why he is "killed". tony comes to the same revelation at the end of the episode, he's stuck in the loop he keeps going on and on and on and on. a lot more evidence of this in the show and especially the finale but those are the basic beats.

            Anonymous

I should also say tony realises he's in the loop, that's why he looks resigned to his fate when he sees his "death" play out in front of him in the diner scene (tony never sits down rather it cuts from his perspective to him watching himself in the booth)

When you watch the full series and get to the final scene, it has such a unique tension to it too. It's really over. There's no catharsis.

kinda like life... most people expect to go out in a bang, but unless you're a soldier in a war or a suicide-bombing jihadist, most people will go out in a whimper, bedridden from old age or cancer

Gagaboolists were constantly sidetracking the BCS thread last night. Really annoying how obsessed some of you are with making sure no one thinks any other show is better. The Shield finale was my favorite from this century.

If Breaking Bad ended with episode 14 instead of 16 it would have been the best ending in TV history, like if they just lengthened the episode by 30 mins for a 1,5 hour special or something.
The entire actual ending feels like such shitty fanservice like the viewer is just supposed to see "don't worry everything will be alright ,everything is fixed!! xDD"

Ending with what? Walt on the run and that's it? The hillbillies using Jesse to cook, Skylar broke as frick, with no leverage, Hank's body never found, etc. You're fricking moronic

Breaking Bad ended with Walter dying knowing his family hated his guts for destroying their lives.

        Anonymous

no, that's what 14th did. 15 and 16 was another arc of walt coming back, setting things straight, setting up a future for his family with the money by giving it to grey matter folks and then dying to save jesse.
it would have been way better if 14th was just a bit longer and ended with Walt dying to protect Jesse or by letting him get away, or even more kino, ending by him making sure Jesse gets caught and we never get to see what becomes of him (presumably just killed).
The actual ending is just fanservice.

I'm in the minority but I liked the BCS ending, felt like he achieved happiness for the first time in forever in a reasonable way. But I don't think it's going to go down in history like the Sopranos ending.

Twin Peaks doesn't have an ending. It is an obvious sequel bait. But ratings were so low, that the continuation would never happen.

how do we know this scene wasn't a dream or tony wasn't already dead?
    >tony enters the restaurant wearing a black jacket
    >sees himself seated wearing a black and white shirt
keep in mind, this is the same shirt he was wearing when he got shot by junior, so the bullet hole would've made it unwearable.
it's like chrissy's description of hell in season 2:
    >"you have get wacked everynight all the time"
this is why I love the Sopranos so much. No show will ever come close it's greatness.

you're getting warmer. it's not as simple as it's a "dream" or a "loop". closest thing i can think of is twin peaks with its various spiritual realms.
