>Remove Anime tropes
The "death note" is anime shit. Making it realistic just leaves you with a regular detective movie about a guy who sneaks into various prisons around the world to kill people and somehow never gets caught on camera.
Light's screams and L's bizarre running aside, the movie was a huge bore though. Kinda sad to think it's by the same guy who made The Guest and You're Next, both of which were great.

How Stranger Things Season 4 Was Influenced By The Rise Of Horror Anime
https://www.slashfilm.com/872001/how-stranger-things-season-4-was-influenced-by-the-rise-of-horror-anime/
Did the success of Stranger Things make Netflix totally forget that they’re in decline, why the frick would they throw more money towards an inevitable failure again?
>stop making it about Light and L because we alresdy know what happens and it'll never be as good as the anime/manga >make each season or episode involve a different person possessing the note during various times in history >depict other bored death gods and only involve Ryuk Dafoe if the original author writes it >show how differently noble, evil, indifferent, and suicidal people would use the note >have someone take an "I am Iron Man" approach and use it without a secret identity
>>make each season or episode involve a different person possessing the note during various times in history
They did it, it was that homosexual dracula movie
Forgot how many Deathnote films and shows there are:
Death Note (2006), Death Note: The Last Name (2006), Matsuda spinoff (cut extra from 2006 Death Note movie), L: Change the World (2008), Death Note: New Generation (2016) (3 episode web series), Death Note: Light Up the New World (2016), and of course the 2017 Netflix Death Note film.
Death Note Relight 1: Visions of God (2007) and Relight 2: L's Successors (2008) are a directors cut condensed version of the anime.
Death Note (TV drama- 11 episodes, 2015). Death Note German audio drama (12 episodes from 2018~2019).
There's actually a Death Note: The Musical if you can believe that. Hey Spongebob got one so why not?
If I were put in charge of adapting Death Note, I'd tell a completely different story with totally different characters in a separate continuity, the only commonality with the original story being the Death Note and its rules + maybe the Shinigami. The concept and rules are the best part of Death Note and I think it's a waste to root them to a single story and cast of characters. Show me what happens when another genius with a different set of morals and social standing gets his hands on the book.
>has tons of fun with it at first and makes piles of money >realizes how insignificant his crew is compared to the power of the book >cue depression kino
The japanese death note movies are pretty good. Hollywood takes whatever goes into it and makes it soulless. They're too afraid to show a legit sociopath with no morals because they think they viewers won't relate.
American Psycho worked, but I guess that came out 22 years ago. Plus Light actually had pretty strict morals, he only wants to kill criminals, unless someone stands in his way
>Light had pretty strict morals
Light declared himself a fricking god of his new world instantly and had no problem at all killing anyone who opposed him. He went for the kill on L the moment he saw him on TV in like episode 2. There was no slippery slope involved with this guy, he dove right in head first and laughed like a madman all the way down
Anime is simply impossible to adapt decently to live action. It doesn't work.
To do it, you gotta remove the over the top behaviour and scene style. It doesn't work live action it looks stupid but it's also a key element of anime.
You have to change the looks of characters. The ott outfits especially females raunchy sexual looks won't ever be approved by a studio and average people will not like it. But again its a key element of anime.
To cut it short. Live action requires completely removing most of what anime is. This means anime fans will hate it. And without the necessary elements the story is built around and for, the story doesn't work well at all and sucks so the nine anime fans also hate it
The funny thing is, you can simply adapt the story. Think Edge of Tomorrow. You don't need to emulate the goofy over the top behavior. Subtle humor can transition well, and be the nod to a characters quirks.
The problem is when directors try to imitate all the cartoonish behavior down to a T. It will not work.
As for casting, that is incredibly difficult. You can cast someone who actually looks like the character, but then youll get the woke crowd riled up (Scarlet Johansson for example). In reality, those are the best adaptations, there is a reason why cosplayers can do a character better, of course when in films, producers don't need to use the exact same costumes and outfits. There are obvious anime series not set in Japan that could be adapted.
With edge of tomorrow that's an example of the level that can work. Bare minimum.
It took a basic anime'esque concept and built on it. It's doesn't even look anime inspired at all. Nobody would watch it and think anime.
They took a concept so they had more freedom to edit and Shape it into something viable for the big screen.
But adapting an anime show is way more restrictive. You have to follow the plot line and the lore. The characters personalities etc. And you can't do this well without the styling of anime
better have more shinigami world scenes than US city scenes
the shinigami world is underrated
early L death turning him into the shinigami that is lights downfall which turns him into shinigami so they become friends hence the apple scene at the end
there, a twist that isn't too fricked up
this sort of ruins the concept of the death gods being indifferent lazy fricks
there'd be some former humans that are still killing all of the bad people
stranger things studio
(the one with all the crazy upside down shit)
could probably do a decent job at creating an interesting shinigami world
and representing different shinigami throughout history
but nobody who actually wants it to be a success is gonna gamble it on my shit-tier ideas on this board so i'm just shooting them off
You know these live action animes would work alot better if they just took the setting and ideas of the original anime and added their own characters and spin to the story. That way weebs (or anyone with half a brain really) wouldn't complain that the live action is worse than the anime because of this and that.
This live action boku no hero is a good example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oPMw8ftL6w&t=38s instead of taking the original anime and changing some characters races for dumbass inclusive shit like netflix always does atleast this way you can make new characters and a new setting and nobody would complain and it would be judged by it's own merits.
yeah i dunno who they put in charge of this shit but they gotta be fricked if they can't think of some shit without coming to target audience and so on
>Ryuk finds another intelligent kid to give the book to >kid is a moralgay that doesn't want to kill anyone >after spending a while thinking about destroying the note he relents because he is afraid of the consequences of possibly offending Ryuk >recommends that if Ryuk wants to be entertained then to give it to someone that shitposts on /misc/ instead >/pol/-Kira kills all of the elites and the world turns into Mad Max >/pol/-Kira is also clever enough to abuse the mind control abilities of the book >nice kid indirectly caused tons of damage and is a post-apocalyptic hobo without remembering why
Get rid of the anime haircutes, anime poses, anime *sighs*, make Ryuk look either completely faithful to the anime or just make him look like a pale creepy looking human, make Light be edgy but not cartoonishly edgy.
Death Note and Legend of The Galactic Heroes are the only animes that can probably get a good live action adaptation if people tried as it's mostly dialogue drama, and not too much moronic shit.
>Death Note and Legend of The Galactic Heroes are the only animes that can probably get a good live action adaptation if people tried as it's mostly dialogue drama, and not too much moronic shit.
There are literally dialogueless anime(mostly indie stuff) about animals or humans working or walking.
I feel like western adaptation will try to be super serious, where as the original was cheesy and campy as frick. It was over the top grandiose but I'm willing to bet we'll get a lame thriller
To do it properly, they need to let the original story rest. The anime already told it pretty much perfectly, and there are 2 Japanese films that retell the same story.
They ***should*** use the concept to tell an interesting story since the world has so much untapped potential.
>give a CWC tier mentally moronic autist the note >he uses it in completely incoherent ways that confuse the authorities >internet trolls learn to contact him and manipulate him to do their bidding >he makes spelling mistakes during crucial moments
I'm convinced that anyone that says they like Death Note is lying to appear more hip with the weeb crowd as the kids say.
It's absolutely garbage that uses contrived logic so that kids can jerk off about how edgy and deep these geniuses are. L and Kira are right about everything and trick each other into perfect traps only to get out on a technicality because of how super duper smart their plan is. no stakes. no actual mystery or discovery, no deduction. they 100% no the next 10 moves and stretch it out because the plot has to go on for 30 episodes
I would have no problem if it were kids that think it's a good show, but it's like the entire anime community has agreed this is a masterpiece of the genre. I'm more mad about the droves of 20 somethings that tell me this cartoon is the best thing ever, as if it's some piece of art like Sherlock Holmes. And they specifically point to the writing and the story. infuriating
If a teenager makes sweeping moronic generalizations he should be mocked until he gains self-awareness. What you don't understand is that your profound insights have been said over and over again by similar morons. This is why you lurk for two years before posting.

>This is why you lurk for two years before posting.
i don't give two shits what your homosexual friends on Cinemaphile have to say. it sounds to me like your coping that so many people have said had the same valid criticisms about your favorite cartoon. oh wait, i misspoke. i guess when everybody mocks your shit taste, those "valid criticisms" become "sweeping generalizations"
Same. I feel like someone gave me crazy pills when people go on about how it's one of the best anime ever, and all the characters are super duper intelligent omg they're so cool I wish I was as clever as them. I watched the first couple episodes at a friends house and could barely contain my laughter, the writing was so over the top edgy and contrived. I can't fathom how someone could watch a full 30 episodes of that joke of a show.
It's just hyped because it's tame enough for more people to get into. Most anime is too weird for normal people to enjoy. Death note is relatively mild
It hit that sweet spot between anime enough for anime fans to enjoy and normie enough for non anime fans to enjoy.
So it got a bigger audience and more affection
>Tariq Nasheed wants to kill privileged white men but makes them buck break him in the bussy first >Ryuk gets disgusted and traumatized because he has to watch
the mcu made billions constantly and had writing ala "hurr lets just pull a time machine out of our buttholes!" death note by comparison might as well be a masterpiece.
True. Calling it poorly written is being too generous. A complete joke of a series that insults your intelligence would be more apt. Maybe it's because all it's fans are actual children.

How will they fix the massive plot hole or plot armor of the good guys? You expect me to believe the entire national security agency can't track a fricking sand Black person attacking people, they can't track guns and knifes without finger prints. AND YOU EXPECT ME TO THINK THEY WILL TRACK DOWN SOME EDGY TEEN KILLING PEOPLE SIMPLY BY WRITING THE NAME DOWN OF PEOPLE IN A NOTE BOOK?

It's kinda believable. You gotta imagine if you were a detective in a normal world, no magic or supernatural stuff. and suddenly there's criminals just dying inexplicably. Wtf do you do?
Irl police would be useless like in the show and it'd take a person who can think differently and outside the box to make any progress ie L.
The way Kira fricks himself over is kinda silly considering his intelligence. Especially when he really just had to keep low profile and grey
>write some fricks name down miles away no fricking connection with your, you simply wrote their name down. >they die >Cops figuring this shit out. >get rid of the notebook
Now you gotta prove to the jury that simply writing someone's name is a fricking murder, it conflicts with one's first amendment rights.
Cops didn't figure it out. L did. They just helped him abit. Without L they would've gotten nowhere.
Could prove the book is legit by having it used in court on someone like a convict with death sentence. Also by having the judge and jury touch the book so they can see ryuk. That'd convince them of its supernatural powers
Well they don't really. I mean they don't ever have the capability themselves. It's entirely L who makes their progress. The rest are just body's to be used by L

They should take out Misa entirely. She adds nothing to the story except as an excuse to introduce Rem.
The concept of a God falling in love with a human is cool, it's just Misa's character traits that are kind of jank.
Misa would fit perfectly in a western adaption, she fits the stereotypical zoomer e-girl to a t

Misa is devoted to Light. That's the opposite of roastie behaviour

There's actually a Death Note: The Musical if you can believe that. Hey Spongebob got one so why not?
gimmicky reddit anime for ironic weebs/normalgays
It's good you're just contrarian
It's better than the moe dragon maid bullshit that you watch
If I were put in charge of adapting Death Note, I'd tell a completely different story with totally different characters in a separate continuity, the only commonality with the original story being the Death Note and its rules + maybe the Shinigami. The concept and rules are the best part of Death Note and I think it's a waste to root them to a single story and cast of characters. Show me what happens when another genius with a different set of morals and social standing gets his hands on the book.
I'd love to see a Tony Soprano-like character with a death note.
>has tons of fun with it at first and makes piles of money
>realizes how insignificant his crew is compared to the power of the book
>cue depression kino
This literally happens during the anime. Mello teamed up with mob guys
Didnt they learn from the first trash fire?
>live action anime
when will these brainless morons learn?
live action anime just doesn't work
period
It would work if they cast japanese instead of gaijin. Japanese people are youthful enough for it to work.
There was no slippery slope involved with this guy, he dove right in head first and laughed like a madman all the way down
japanese live action aren't that bad.
The kenshin one is good.
But American live action adaptation are always garbage.
Japan live actions are usually pretty decent and harmless. It's when the israelites get their grubby hands on anime that it turns to shit.
3/4 of anime don't even have any over the top action or humor. It's easy to adapt a shitton of popular ones. They just keep fricking up.
Tom "last samurai" Cruise-san did it.
Forgot image
Literally 1 good example. Wow dude you sure showed him.
I'm just shilling bro, not fighting.
This was kinda okay, and i really hate live adaptations.
It can work if ((hollywood*~~ stays out of
>casting
>directing
kenshin is a good example.
Pic somewhat related. Japs just can't do blondes.
Edge of Tomorrow/All you need is kill was never an anime tho.
leave anime and manga alone, Hollywood !
Anime sucks.
based
Anime is a medium.
A medium that sucks.
More like a small
Genuinely made me laugh, Anon
what is this creature called? I want to know for the sake of sorting my images.
Meeper.
thanks.
I just call it my "Your fetish is shit" Pepe
He's called Meeper or Mepe
>psyop'd newbies
Anime is life and soul.
true even though I still watch it
>posts on ani anime baord
better have more shinigami world scenes than US city scenes
the shinigami world is underrated
early L death turning him into the shinigami that is lights downfall which turns him into shinigami so they become friends hence the apple scene at the end
there, a twist that isn't too fricked up
>humans having any chance at an afterlife in death note
please no
>was filtered this hard
there is implication that anybody who uses the death note becomes shinigami
this sort of ruins the concept of the death gods being indifferent lazy fricks
there'd be some former humans that are still killing all of the bad people
ryuk probably lent a hand for all the apples
light becomes shinigami
so does L
near is the one that they fall in love with
another twist
give mellow shinigami eyes
guy who magdumps light becomes seduced by the death note, with light being his shinigami
stranger things studio
(the one with all the crazy upside down shit)
could probably do a decent job at creating an interesting shinigami world
and representing different shinigami throughout history
but nobody who actually wants it to be a success is gonna gamble it on my shit-tier ideas on this board so i'm just shooting them off
i agree with the lack of following it true to the source material as long as they get the original writer to come together and not frick him over like
You know these live action animes would work alot better if they just took the setting and ideas of the original anime and added their own characters and spin to the story.
WHAT IF THE MADE SOMETHING ORIGINAL!!!!??!??!???!?!!??
UMMM BASED!??!?!!??!
yeah i dunno who they put in charge of this shit but they gotta be fricked if they can't think of some shit without coming to target audience and so on
Idris Elba as every character other than the death god who is played by William Defoe, the only good casting in the other shitty live action one.
anyone who actually wants to use any of my ideas feel free
final idea: just hire me for some ideas bro i'm good for it bro honest
Netflix's Death Note: electric boogaloo
also the duff brothers suck at writing villains, they're discount steven spielbergs and they'll probably turn Light into an antihero
Too bad Zac Efron is an abomination
Trying to replicate anime hair is the dumbest shit ever.
Before the netflix shit came out he was even slated to be Light, frick this
>Ryuk finds another intelligent kid to give the book to
>kid is a moralgay that doesn't want to kill anyone
>after spending a while thinking about destroying the note he relents because he is afraid of the consequences of possibly offending Ryuk
>recommends that if Ryuk wants to be entertained then to give it to someone that shitposts on /misc/ instead
>/pol/-Kira kills all of the elites and the world turns into Mad Max
>/pol/-Kira is also clever enough to abuse the mind control abilities of the book
>nice kid indirectly caused tons of damage and is a post-apocalyptic hobo without remembering why
rent free holy shit
go back to twitter
>he doesn't want /misc/ kino
most unrealistic thing about Light was that he only went after regular criminals
Here's the kid I told you about
Misa
who is the chubby cutie?
they'll unironically ruin it by casting actual asians
This guy could have done it (The Man From Nowhere)
It's re-imagined as a comedy and every character is played by Adam Sandler.
Yeah, but I'm talking about anime that could be "big hits".
Mads Mikkelsen is a shinigami just because
If it's going to be in burgerland it need to be in NY.
>not in Las Vegas and controlling poker players and athletes for profit
Why not pick up some without any fantasy stuff? There's a lot of those.
Oh right... i forgot. They just want to rice money on the popularity.
again?
Finn Wolfhard as L
I bet this time they'll make L an old Asian grandpa or something like Cowboy Bebop
I feel like western adaptation will try to be super serious, where as the original was cheesy and campy as frick. It was over the top grandiose but I'm willing to bet we'll get a lame thriller
make the protagonist D.B. Cooper played by Jon Hamm
To do it properly, they need to let the original story rest. The anime already told it pretty much perfectly, and there are 2 Japanese films that retell the same story.
They ***should*** use the concept to tell an interesting story since the world has so much untapped potential.
Quick someone get E;R~
>give a CWC tier mentally moronic autist the note
>he uses it in completely incoherent ways that confuse the authorities
>internet trolls learn to contact him and manipulate him to do their bidding
>he makes spelling mistakes during crucial moments
Starring Will Ferrell and John C Reilly
This news horrifies me. They better not try to frick with Bebop again in 5 years.
>they cast John Cho again
Millie boby brown as Misa
The thought of that puts my sides into orbit
>kira writes donald trump's name in the death note
>it doesn't work because his real name is Drumpf
Light: The Rock
L: the guy that played Huell in BrBa
Misa: Kristen Schall
Ryuk: Malcolm McDowell
isnt gorkalt klumpft in some manga sequel/spinoff?
yes, someone auctions off the deathnote and he buys it to never use it.
You know Warwick Davis' face and name. What do you write?
stomped to death by a guy with steel caps in his shoes.
>Netflix
>again
This time around L will be a 5'8 white incel, Light a black chad and Misa white, isn't it?
Here's your L bro
Would be better than anything we'll eventually get
You already know L is going to be Jonathan majors or yaha Abdul whatever
It will be Donald Glover
when i see this guys face i just get angry. i cant explain it
I'm convinced that anyone that says they like Death Note is lying to appear more hip with the weeb crowd as the kids say.
If you think like this you probably have some neurological disorder. It's not normal.
DN is written for 12-13 years old kids. It’s literally a shounen. It’s supossed to be entertaining. A kids cartoon made you this mad, relax bro.
The target audience were teenagers and young adults.
And they specifically point to the writing and the story. infuriating
Holy pretentious teenager batman
>You can't discuss death note in this death note thread
try dropping one of your ten layers of irony and have a genuine conversation for once, zoomer
If a teenager makes sweeping moronic generalizations he should be mocked until he gains self-awareness. What you don't understand is that your profound insights have been said over and over again by similar morons. This is why you lurk for two years before posting.
>This is why you lurk for two years before posting.
i don't give two shits what your homosexual friends on Cinemaphile have to say. it sounds to me like your coping that so many people have said had the same valid criticisms about your favorite cartoon. oh wait, i misspoke. i guess when everybody mocks your shit taste, those "valid criticisms" become "sweeping generalizations"
>as if it's some piece of art like Sherlock Holmes
if you think sherlock holmes is anything but a staple of British literature history, you're embarrassing yourself
read actual classic homosexual. you dont know what art is
damn, savage burn
>no stakes
L literally dies you clown
Time for more artificial shill hype
>Tariq Nasheed wants to kill privileged white men but makes them buck break him in the bussy first
>Ryuk gets disgusted and traumatized because he has to watch
Heh. Funny how you homosexuals post white person with "here's your L".
Didn't Netflix already produce a Death Note? One with a Black person L ?
>the death note doesn't work on baby macaques
>tfw you can't kill nogs and israelites with the death note because they aren't considered humans nor people
My husband should be guest star in it.
*sigh*
Somehow, the live-action Death Note returned
>>you know duffer bros make kinos
why so skeptical?
The story of Death Note is so good it doesn't really matter who they cast once they stick to the script.
it's a great story if you're a fan of shitty writing
the mcu made billions constantly and had writing ala "hurr lets just pull a time machine out of our buttholes!" death note by comparison might as well be a masterpiece.
Death Note is not poorly written.
I guess if you can tolerate contrived logic, asspulls, and dues ex machina you might enjoy it
True. Calling it poorly written is being too generous. A complete joke of a series that insults your intelligence would be more apt. Maybe it's because all it's fans are actual children.
It's the type of story that makes people feel smart
>type of story that makes people feel smart
then give it to Nolan
>intersellar
>*pokes pencil into paper*
>le love transcends time and space
>"""""""makes you feel smart""""""""
I fricking hate normalnigs so much
Found L
Everyone is black.
leafyishere as L
WAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Again? Well at least Netflix aint ruining Card captor Sakura or yu yu Hakusho so i don't care. And the cast will probably be the same one from stranger things.
why are they desperate to try this again so soon after their death note movie was a huge flop
How will they fix the massive plot hole or plot armor of the good guys? You expect me to believe the entire national security agency can't track a fricking sand Black person attacking people, they can't track guns and knifes without finger prints. AND YOU EXPECT ME TO THINK THEY WILL TRACK DOWN SOME EDGY TEEN KILLING PEOPLE SIMPLY BY WRITING THE NAME DOWN OF PEOPLE IN A NOTE BOOK?
no you don't understand they're just too smart for you something something deep commentary on morality something something great writing
the only person that will get that close to deep complexities would be fricking nolan if he has 2 year to write it out.Only he can make convoluted deep kino work, even then most people are brainlets they loose their shit at anything requiring thought.
>anything requiring thought.
so not Death Note?
>nolan
>Inspector Yagami: Liam Neeson
>Ryuk: Tom Hardy
>L: Cillian Murphy
>Watari: Michael Caine
It's kinda believable. You gotta imagine if you were a detective in a normal world, no magic or supernatural stuff. and suddenly there's criminals just dying inexplicably. Wtf do you do?
Irl police would be useless like in the show and it'd take a person who can think differently and outside the box to make any progress ie L.
The way Kira fricks himself over is kinda silly considering his intelligence. Especially when he really just had to keep low profile and grey
>write some fricks name down miles away no fricking connection with your, you simply wrote their name down.
>they die
>Cops figuring this shit out.
>get rid of the notebook
Now you gotta prove to the jury that simply writing someone's name is a fricking murder, it conflicts with one's first amendment rights.
Cops didn't figure it out. L did. They just helped him abit. Without L they would've gotten nowhere.
Could prove the book is legit by having it used in court on someone like a convict with death sentence. Also by having the judge and jury touch the book so they can see ryuk. That'd convince them of its supernatural powers
Well they don't really. I mean they don't ever have the capability themselves. It's entirely L who makes their progress. The rest are just body's to be used by L
>Light: Ashton Kutcher
>Inspector Yagami: Gary Oldman
>Ryuk: Idris Elba
>L: Paul Dano
>Misa: Margot Robbie
>Rem: Helena Bonham Carter
>Cast them!
Death Note in the Hood, starring an all black cast.
my guys big wallace says he got this book yo, THIS MUTHA FRICKIN homie IS CRAZY!
HE SAYS HE WRITES NAME AND SHITS LIKE SOME SORT OF GROCERY LIST AND THEY JUST MUTHER FRICKIN DIE.
THAT IS SOM SCHIZO SHIT
NO BRO I SEEN HIM DO IT, HE WROTE DUREL'S NAME BY THE HAMBURGER SHACK AND HE DIED FROM DROWNING IN MILKSHAKES.
Jamie Campbell Bower as Light Yagami
Finn Wolfhard as L
Joe Keery as Ryuk
Millie Bobby Brown as Misa Amane
Caleb McLaughlin as Near
Gaten Matarazzo as Mello
Noah Schnapp as Teru Mikami
In 2022 they 100% won't get this character right. They'll change her character and make her more independent rather than subservient to Kira/Light
blacked.
Netflix already made a Death Note movie, you idiots.
Light - Chris Evans
L- Chris Pratt
Rise - Amy Adams
Ryuk - Chris Rock
written, produced, and directed by the duffer brothers
I can't wait for:
>high school drama
>instead of sending messages through tv, now it will be tik tok, podcasts and youtube channels
>no long and intricate machinations because burgers are stupid and can't keep up
>light being timid and dumb again because modern writers can't fathom a young person who is not a braindead zoomer, most certainly a simp for misa
>L will be black again and they will definitely include a love triangle between the 3 and the reason why light kills him is jealousy
>misa being reworked completely, parroting sjw stuff, a zendaya clone from the spiderman movies
>subplots about his father, the chief of police being a racist and a cuck because his mom cheats on him with a black guy
>light will have a brother instead of a sister who is transitioning and wants to be a model so they give this guy and misa another pointless subplot so netflix can get more ESG points
i still enjoy Death Note. It's just a fun and kinda charming show
AGAIN? THEY ALREADY MADE AN AWFUL MOVIE
AND IN JAPAN THEY MADE TWO MOVIES, A SPINOFF MOVIE, AND A DRAMA. NOT COUNTING THE THEATRE SHIT
WHY DO THEY KEEP COMING BACK TO DEATH NOTE HOLY SHIT. WHY
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Benedict Cuckembucket as Yagami Light, Matt Smith as L.
can't wait for Netflix to...ahem...take another L
Michael Cera as light, Shia LaBeef as L, AIKA as Misa
Fricking amazing instead of doing it right the 1st time they fricking make a hamfisted frickstick adaptation now 7 or 8 years later we're back to try again.
Tom Holland as Light
Timothee Chalamet as L
Idris Elba as Soichiro
Isabela Moner as Misa
Karl Urban as Ryuk
Maybe pic related as some side character
Shinigamis all played by Andy Serkis
