yea, instead courage crossed over with the one franchise that's under china restrictions to not let supernatural stuff even be implied to exist anymore
Unless spinoffs like Velma were allowed to be under different standards than no. There were lots of threads about how they kept making followup sequels to old Scooby stuff and undoing the supernatural shit through swamp gas handwaves. IIRC both Return to Zombie Island and the 13th ghost did that sort of thing.
I never had any strangers babysit me, just extended family. In my case, it usually meant ordering pizza and doing whatever as long as I don't destroy the house.
These aren't adult cartoons. These are kid shows from an era of TV slightly less sanitized and pussified than the last 13 or so years of TV, but still definitely kid shows.
I'm so scared of food poisoning that I won't even drink milk one day past the expiration date. And then there's heroes like you willing to die to eat a chicken dinner. Godspeed.
Lets hope he's not shitting/vomiting his guts out as we type.
>I'm so scared of food poisoning
You should, it's awful. Worse than just being normally sick.
I would unironically rather take physical pain than feel even mildly nauseous. The way food poisoning is described to me, I think I'd rather take death than have it.
I was at the shelter so I missed most of Checkered Past yesterday but I watched a little bit of Ed Edd n Eddy with this guy camping out in the bathroom
Will they eventually start showing the more transitional/early evening appropriate series and Max originals like Unicorn, Fionna and Cake, etc on Saturdays? 3 hours of King of the Hill is a fricking waste
From the ratings "normal decent humans" are watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory, and someone crazier then me would definitely have Zaslav's balls if he tried that
>like ice king >like simon and get invested in how things will work out for him in the end >betty shows up and is obnoxious as shit >by the end of the finale his story is all about her and her epic sacrifice and how he's left suffering as a human unable to find/save his love >if i want to actually see any continuation or potential resolution to his character i have to watch a shitty female self-insert spinoff
i hate these morons in California so much
I like Jimmy in this episode, he actually has something going on and a bit more depth. I feel bad for him. >that weird edd noise
havent heard that in awhile
The episodes with the robot voice was so unique. It made the show really interesting to feel like a robot was actually trying to deal with humans. When it just became a kid voice it felt super boring.
could've sworn they also made videos with old City era bumpers on social media to hype up the block, unless that was just the CN account nostalgia baiting
What's with the drastic tonal shift of season 1 of Ed, Edd, and Eddy? It's hard to explain but something just seems so different to this season compared to everything that came after. Everything is so much more chill. The boys just want to get along, maybe sometimes make money. Maybe it's because I only watched the later seasons I'm only just now seeing the massive flanderization.
The later seasons focused more on the Eds trying to swindle kids, and Ed got dumber, Edd complained a lot more, and Eddy became angrier.
I didn't mind these changes since it still produced humorous situations, but I can see the difference, and plus a first season is when you usually try to figure out what you want to do with the characters for the next one
>block is all about nostalgia and returning to when you could just watch cartoons after your morning to noon grind >2 days of the week I have to watch it via phone which would have been impossible back in the day
Whatever year the main writer grew up in, I can't really pin it down to a specific year since it seems kinda timeless, but it is DEFINITELY not any year where computers and video games became a commonplace thing.
I love how this Max promo shows/lets the black actress speak the most despite her show being so shitty they put it on Netflix to try to get their return back
Why would a goth b***h care if he's not human? I feel like even non-goth b***hes would be down for that with how many zoomers call themselves monsterfrickers
that episode ended about as abruptly as dexter's
she was kinda cute, it's funny seeing goth chicks get more than they bargained for, and she was fun. also grim becoming a tower was a bit creepy
I remember misusing this word in Kindergarten because someone who couldn't read yet asked me what Spirit said and I couldn't make out the blotchy Xerox printing. Spirit, Spinster.
i mean because it has random cartoon network shows that mix between harmless like the eds and randomly creepy like courage or sometimes grim, with cartoon network branding still in tact and then "adult" cartoons later
Really this scene always fricked with me as a kid. Also the music makes the scene even sadder to me. Like makes you wonder how fricked eustaces life was as a kid
true but based on his brother seemed he was just the odd man out. His brother was big and strong most likely eustace was starved as a kid based on that one mom episode
Y'know considering at least one segment of each show so far has been valentines or love themed you'd think they air the episode where a sea witch seduces Eustace and tries to eat him
>The fricking girl and the violin scene
This shit used to scare the frick out of me so bad when I knew it was coming I'd mute it and close my eyes while I count to 10
Literally just looked her up after looking up Tara
She seems like she hasn't done much as of late.
Wonder if AS could bring back some of the old Friday's host for a Checkered past Friday's while tossing in some actual new shows
Is the complete series DVD for Courage they released a while ago of decent quality? It’s still one of my favorite CN shows and I would love to have it on home video, finally.
I think the discs themselves are fine but the case is made out of compost. That's why it's only $20.
I fricking hate new DVD cases where they try to jam as much shit into one compartment and make you snap the second disc in before you can snap the first one.
>Currently on Billy & Mandy, the crush episode
So why is this kid following Billy around? He doesn't talk to him at all, he just stands there, so why? I mean, I guess it's "for the joke", but it's not like they couldn't have Billy and Mandy bump into him just around town.
Mandy is a psycho b***h whose own parents are terrified of her. It's no surprise she's friends with the only kid too stupid to think she's scary or weird.
aHR0cHM6Ly90dXJuZXJsaXZlLndhcm5lcm1lZGlhY2RuLmNvbS9obHMvbGl2ZS8yMDIzMTgzL2FzZWFzdC9ub3NsYXRlL1ZJREVPXzFfNTEyODAwMC5tM3U4
Wtf there is pizza of cheese
I'm using a different stream and it's like 1-2 minutes delayed.
I guess they're airing romance-related episodes tonight for the most part, for some reason.
What episode
>Babysitter Blues
>An Ed Too Many
>Grim in Love
>Crushed
>Love Is EVOL Spelled Backward
It's so-called Valentine's Day in September.
Proto-Dee Dee
>We never got "The Grim Adventures of Courage the Cowardly Dog" even though a crossover might've worked.
yea, instead courage crossed over with the one franchise that's under china restrictions to not let supernatural stuff even be implied to exist anymore
Frick you mean Scooby Doo can't get supernatural anymore?
Unless spinoffs like Velma were allowed to be under different standards than no. There were lots of threads about how they kept making followup sequels to old Scooby stuff and undoing the supernatural shit through swamp gas handwaves. IIRC both Return to Zombie Island and the 13th ghost did that sort of thing.
I never had a babysitter as a kid. What was it like, bros?
That depends.
I had one once, she melted some of our plastic bowls in the oven and then I never had another sitter again.
I never had any strangers babysit me, just extended family. In my case, it usually meant ordering pizza and doing whatever as long as I don't destroy the house.
It's like replacing your parents with teachers. same authority no love
wasnt there some sort of fanservice in this episode
dexter's mom looked topless for a second
Will Dexter get naked in this episode?
Is this a good time to mention that one episode where Dexter got naked and tranquilized in the ass *(Blackfoot) gave me confusing feelings as a kid?
>tfw only babysat by family members
>those hips
They would never be brave enough to draw an underage girl this sexy now
I don't know, they drew that girl from Glitch Techs with a fricking FAT ass.
>Will never get to see Miko's fat ass again
BOOBA
>it’s a shota episode
Dexter got cucked
By a pimply motherfricker named Jeff
Good Lord, Genndy, she's not even 18 and she's designed like a smokeshow.
hot!
dexter got someone like this but i got a fat drug addict who tried to steal my nintendo for meth
You should kill her, they'd write it off as an overdose
did you find that thing you're supposed to be looking for yet?
How old is Dexter supposed to be?
Genndy said he's supposed to be between 6 and 8 years old.
7-9 I think
They don't say his age at any point during the series but The Hip-Hop Experiment has a track that says he's 8
Literally me
now he sounds like a fricking simpsons character
A lot of Dexter episodes just suddenly end.
He sounded exactly like that one nerd character that rarely shows up.
>incest
>Going to someone's how and punching the resident in the face
Pretty sure Dexter could call the police
How did breaking the bulb help?
Don't worry bout it.
>ASSgardian butt
How is Justice Friends better than all modern capeshit?
Genndy always had his milf fantasies bleed through his show.
who is watching this block on an actual crt?
Not me, but VLC let's me change the aspect ratio
Are they allowed to mention any kind of god in modern cartoons?
>bed posts has handcuffs
huh
Not his breasts
Genndy’s barely disguised fetish.
imagine what Dexter could look like if only he had an axe
like his form in ego trip
imagine what Dexter could look like if only he had an axe
you can milk any mammal regardless of sex with the correct stimulation and hormones
>imagine what Dexter could look like if only he had an axe
Ego trip showed us.
what the frick? valhallen looks like a nerd
axe in goat
cat on head
in just sat down, why did that nerd grow breasts from a goat
>maybe kronk force you to lactate for his breakfast!
wtf kronk
Don't frick with a man's pancakes
How'd the axe get out?
Not through Kronk's methods, that's for sure.
Can you milk male goats?
How's the lineup lookin today?
Season 1 episodes for everything but Courage.
Cool, early Dexter is best.
So why is Cartoon Network showing these adult cartoons earlier and earlier?
These aren't adult cartoons. This is how you fix a generation...if only they had cable.
These aren't adult cartoons. These are kid shows from an era of TV slightly less sanitized and pussified than the last 13 or so years of TV, but still definitely kid shows.
Are there two of these Babbel commercials?
I swear I've seen it both animated and with an actor and it's weird
what
>nneehhhh you ain’t just one you, Doc
What the frick does that mean Bugs?
dexter what are those
Is this Dexter what’s that gag in every episode?
Didn't we see DEXTER WHAT'S THAT before? Is it in multiple episodes the exact same way?
Yes, Dexter reuses these short clips in episodes.
These dreams always scared me the most, the ones where what comes naturally to you is suddenly impossible.
>2+2 = Mount Rushmore
Sorta right
There are 4 heads on it
Poor little man even gets tortured in his dreams
I left raw chicken out for 6 hours today and cooked it so if I die to some foodborne iillness this was a fun 8 days of checkered past
Goodspeed, anon.
I'm so scared of food poisoning that I won't even drink milk one day past the expiration date. And then there's heroes like you willing to die to eat a chicken dinner. Godspeed.
>I'm so scared of food poisoning
You should, it's awful. Worse than just being normally sick.
The latest date I've drank past-date milk was probably 4 days after, and I felt fine.
I ate it, bros. It didn't taste awful but not entirely correct either. Will report back if I'm vomiting later.
Lets hope he's not shitting/vomiting his guts out as we type.
I would unironically rather take physical pain than feel even mildly nauseous. The way food poisoning is described to me, I think I'd rather take death than have it.
I'm still here, the shitting hasn't set in.
gross i hope you feel better 🙁
Unless you have a shit immune system, you should get better.
I cooked and ate pork ribs that were left overnight in the trunk of a car. Nothing happened.
>those racist caricatures
Why couldn’t they do more episodes?
It’s super fun.
Naked yet again
that is why dexter's lab has alot of fetishes
Yeah I love how all the naked Dexter episodes are being shown within the first two weeks. Like why?
Phew, I thought we were gonna end an episode without seeing Dexter naked
Well it is TV-PG
Is nakedness now considered edgy in 2023?
I was at the shelter so I missed most of Checkered Past yesterday but I watched a little bit of Ed Edd n Eddy with this guy camping out in the bathroom
cute
Will they eventually start showing the more transitional/early evening appropriate series and Max originals like Unicorn, Fionna and Cake, etc on Saturdays? 3 hours of King of the Hill is a fricking waste
No. They were going to but the ratings for those shows was too low
They should've do that already, but noooooo.
I guess so.
all of those are only watched by internetoids like us online. They need stuff normal decent humans will watch.
From the ratings "normal decent humans" are watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory, and someone crazier then me would definitely have Zaslav's balls if he tried that
lol, It's sad my parents do that all the time
I'm not watching Fionna and Cake.
>like ice king
>like simon and get invested in how things will work out for him in the end
>betty shows up and is obnoxious as shit
>by the end of the finale his story is all about her and her epic sacrifice and how he's left suffering as a human unable to find/save his love
>if i want to actually see any continuation or potential resolution to his character i have to watch a shitty female self-insert spinoff
i hate these morons in California so much
Love how the Checkered Past commercial just admits everything is shit now.
Courage never scared me.
>making chicken tenders and mozerella sticks for ed edd n eddy
>turn around
>dexter's naked again
Dexter's always naked
Early Ed Edd n Eddy and Billy & Mandy title card themes were better.
>"I'll get in the way and make a big mess."
Lol, loved that line.
>I’ll get in the way and make a big mess
Me
>The curse of Shirley
DO NOT REMIND ME OF THE TOURNAMENTS
>giving a girl a stupid flower will make her obsessed with you
If only real life was like this.
In the first episode double d wanted to bone Sarah so I don’t see the issue he had here
Pilot stuff that was dropped. Ed was less dumb in it too.
they probably made the pilot in like 95 they didn't know dicky wouldn't be allowed in the 2000s
I'm pretty sure nobody gave a damn until that word came out.
Consent
My dad tries making homemade pizza the other day, and still doesn't know how to form the dough.
>putting their dirty shoes on the pizza dough
Sometimes I forget Sarah's crush on Double D used to exist
It still did sometimes, I think.
>Double D had Sarah AND a Kanker
Poor abstard
And she’s a good speller
poor jimmy cucked by a true alpha male
I think I swallowed a frog.
What did the people who thought Double D was a girl think of this episode?
You ever had a friends little sister have a crush on you?
I did but her brothers were black though, I didn't want to die so I avoided that girl like the plague
So she was black too?
Obviously she was blue
white actually, they were half siblings. New mom was white old mom i.e theirs black
I've heard so many girls irl had a thing for Double D when they were young. Any femanons who still do?
My girlfriend in High School really liked him.
I also liked Double D when I was younger. But for some reason I like Eddy (slightly) more now.
>musically talented genius who's the nicest person in the neighborhood
who WOULDN'T?
They never finished the pizza though
How come they don’t do that with Jimmy’s mouth anymore?
I like Jimmy in this episode, he actually has something going on and a bit more depth. I feel bad for him.
>that weird edd noise
havent heard that in awhile
Eddy was robbed
I thought Jimmy was gay, bros. Why is he so hung up on a girl.
Nobody else wants to hang out with him.
20 bucks would buy a whole summers worth of jawbreakers
>WHEN YOU WERE ELEVEN YOU THOUGHT THIS WAS GR8
>WHEN TIMES WERE SIMPLER
>AND THE INTERNET DIDN'T RULE YOUR LIFE
>BUT SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE
Ok Jones/Joomer
The episodes with the robot voice was so unique. It made the show really interesting to feel like a robot was actually trying to deal with humans. When it just became a kid voice it felt super boring.
CN, being out of touch, wanted to make Robot Jones's voice "more Hollywood"
Whatever happened to Robot Jones?
?si=K3rynlCDDOvhYM2S
frick him
>dancing poop
Total informercial genocide
Everytime I think I miss cable, I see shit like this and remember, no the frick I don't.
its weird that the general block promo shows bumpers they haven't aired in full but they refuse to do anything than the same few
could've sworn they also made videos with old City era bumpers on social media to hype up the block, unless that was just the CN account nostalgia baiting
As a kid I thought you actually could fully dive into the couch like this
They could definitely be showing more AS promos if they've got Stan saying "son of a b***h" in one of them that's in rotation
I wish they still did promos like this and showed them during Cartoonito for the lulz
>hide and seek where you can go into houses freely
What kind of lawless shit is this?
ed's voice feels so much more natural back then
It sounded less dopey. It had more of the tone he had in the pilot.
>Hide and Seek episode of Ed Edd'n Eddy
Time for the comfiest hiding spot ever!
ikr i feel all kids wanted to have that spot as a hide out
>plank your mom is calling
Then Eddy killed her and Plank’s dad later on.
>in their world, their body heat is stored in their outlines
deepest lore
man felt bad for the eds, like why not just let em play.
I mean, they are.
well they were fricking them over hard
True, but come on let it go
They make the game more complex than it's supposed to be.
Who does the art for the title cards?
Is he still alive?
It’s an artist named Kathy Boake.
No clue if she’s still active, but what looks to be her website is still up, atleast.
>Searches Kathy Boake
>Finds her website finds this.
Awesome.
As a kid I thought that fake bush was so cool, but it would be an absolute oven irl
>farts in the bush
>pop
>clearly says soda
Pop is soda.
Same shit anon.
What was more comfy, inside the bush, under eddy’s bed or the van?
Does anyone know if kids stick around to watching these?
Imagine seeing those airing from CNs 30th and are now on a adult block.
Kids don't have cable or attention spans. It's over
What's with the drastic tonal shift of season 1 of Ed, Edd, and Eddy? It's hard to explain but something just seems so different to this season compared to everything that came after. Everything is so much more chill. The boys just want to get along, maybe sometimes make money. Maybe it's because I only watched the later seasons I'm only just now seeing the massive flanderization.
The later seasons focused more on the Eds trying to swindle kids, and Ed got dumber, Edd complained a lot more, and Eddy became angrier.
I didn't mind these changes since it still produced humorous situations, but I can see the difference, and plus a first season is when you usually try to figure out what you want to do with the characters for the next one
>block is all about nostalgia and returning to when you could just watch cartoons after your morning to noon grind
>2 days of the week I have to watch it via phone which would have been impossible back in the day
Aren't those cable apps really shitty?
YouTube TV's app isn't bad. fubo has a better app AND lineup but hasn't had CN in years
>fubo has a better app AND lineup but hasn't had CN in years
I know, and that's why I said that. Cable apps used to be a lot better.
Yes, but they still work. But I was more talking about the *ahem* "unofficial" stream
Sounds like a you problem.
So they were just sitting in the... whatever that was?
Anyone ever notice at this point in the episode all the other kids have just abandoned the game?
>you're touching my face
I always laughed at that line
I remember I always got Mario 3 vibes from Double D swimming in the fish tank.
What year does the Ed Edd n Eddy take place in cause these kids play outside consistently and no one plays video games
Probably whatever year Antonucci was a kid in.
Whatever year the main writer grew up in, I can't really pin it down to a specific year since it seems kinda timeless, but it is DEFINITELY not any year where computers and video games became a commonplace thing.
They don’t have video games but they do occasionally show computers as well as VCRs, so I’d say mid 90s
>computers
When?
The show would never go this off model again.
Are you sure?
I love how this Max promo shows/lets the black actress speak the most despite her show being so shitty they put it on Netflix to try to get their return back
I love how Aquaman 2 comes out in 3 months and we have yet to see literally anything from it. No trailer, no teaser, no poster, no information.
What is Eustache digging up?
Billy & Mandy's intro never stops being metal.
Why do I love EEnE and Courage a lot more than I did back then?
I use to be obsessed with PPG and Dexter.
There has been one love themed episode each show
purple cleavage
Mid 00s emo girls creaming their panties right now
ashi?
Life rocks
can you tell when someone fakes?
>The fricking cop
Why was she faking child birth?
Bart Simpson reference
>I didn't do it
Wouldn't Grim know if she was actually dead?
Couldn't tell if she faked.
Why not just walk around the puddle?
>Red fishnets
Erm, next stop: bonerville
It's crazy to think they'd parody a scene where a lady fakes a massive orgasm in public
>Not faking on deepthroating.
>NUT
Edd always had that creepy smile.
Those hips.
I wasn't expecting a Pulp Fiction reference.
why a scottish guy specifically
That Scotsman was supposed to be a recurring character, iirc.
Is Malaria wife material or what?
Why would a goth b***h care if he's not human? I feel like even non-goth b***hes would be down for that with how many zoomers call themselves monsterfrickers
She’s a filthy larper
To that, I say you wouldn't.
Gotta be honest, her pretending to die kinda turned me on.
>Not into dating the real grim reaper
Fake goth girl
that episode ended about as abruptly as dexter's
she was kinda cute, it's funny seeing goth chicks get more than they bargained for, and she was fun. also grim becoming a tower was a bit creepy
>edgelord goth girl can’t handle anything actually scary
Many such cases
Is there a difference between creepy girsl and goth girls
Goth is a fashion, creepy is a way of life.
>Reveals he's the REAL Grim Reaper.
>Doesn't turn into a waterfall and frick him on the spot.
What a poser.
shoulda ended that with a hard cut of the woman in a normal dress and no/littlemakeup
oh the mandy bottoming episode
Why didn’t Mandy ever just call Irwin the N word?
if the show wasn't for kids she would.
She would've fricked Grim
mandy blushing and swooning is creepy lol
also i remember this kid, he has an elongated sex face scene
Mandy down bad
>Mandy smiling.
Uh Maxwell? I was told she wasn't supposed to smile?
Only in the shitty later seasons.
Mandy's pussy does in fact get wet and is not a barren wasteland.
Why did his nose bleed?
>pea
>tear
>gryphon
Oh yeah she turns into a bawd this episode
she went from pathetic bottom to dom in only like 7 mins
>Mandy wetting her panties at the sight of "Piff"
Kek
The eye test chart in the nurse's office had a bunch of katakana mixed in with the Latin letters. What the hell was up with that?
it's to test your eyes, not your alphabet skills
You still have to know what stuff is in order to tell whoever's doing the test what you see.
well you better havr learned your japanese or you're getting glasses then
mandy isn't invincible boys she likes dick
Always did. She wants the Billy Willy.
heh alpha chad billy can tame her strange
>Grim had the change to just kill Mandy
>Didn't take it
he wanted to get back at piff more at that moment
>Much 😉
Is everyone into shotas?
grim is such a great character. awesome design, funny unique jamaican voice take on a grim reaper
I feel like almost every cartoon this era had a boy with glasses and beret show up
I know a girl who dressed up like that for Halloween once.
>Mandy dresses like a hooker.
grown man dolls up underage girl like a prostitute and teaches her prostitute mannerism
I wish that was me
>Irwin!
>the only way to get over a crush is to dress like a child prostitute and punch the guy
She looks like a lil Madonna
love at 8pm
why did she punch him anyway? she already won also didn't really defeat love but rather made it worse because next time she'll get hit by it harder.
>Babble
Mandy looks like she’s about to let out a shart
I tabbed out for like on episode, why is Mandy dressed like an 8 year old hooker, or what I assume an 8 year old hooker looks like/
weird rare vague reference to romance between mandy and billy
Anyone notice how more cynical Grim was in these earlier seasons?
Yeah, then Mandy became the cynic.
wasn't mandy always the sync
Wasn't he still cynical in the later seasons?
He's the grim reaper.
mon
>a spinster
Didn’t expect that word in a kids show
It's not a dirty word or anything.
I remember misusing this word in Kindergarten because someone who couldn't read yet asked me what Spirit said and I couldn't make out the blotchy Xerox printing. Spirit, Spinster.
Is the Aunt the sister of the mom or the dad.
dad
As a kid I didn't realise Grim had a Jamaican accent. Was it moronation or did anyone else not pay attention to it?
its tony curtis
Mandy looks like Stevie there.
Hey the poses from the intro
if it was not her nose
Proto Blitzo
Don't you fricking mention that shit here.
>It's Tony Curtis
Wild reference to randomly throw in. Reminds me of early South Park
Cartoons used to reference real life celebrities all the time, it fell out of fashion for whatever reason in the '10s.
Only one nowadays that does it is Hailey's On It
Oh yeah, I remember when Nergal was supposed to be kinda the main villain of Billy & Mandy.
was i the only one that found old mandy voice sexy as hell
Grey's voice is just sex in general
it was something about the low sultry tone that did it for me. Gave me dommy mommy vibes
>old Mandy
Did her voice change at some point?
same actress but slightly different delivery
the voice became different in later season same va just different tone and voice direction i imagine
Why are Grim and Mandy participating in cultural appropriation?
So this episode was the one with the fighting stance the three of them make I always see in the intro.
Her body shrunk.
So is aunt sis cool with tentacles?
who isn't?
>lover's leap
Bruv, they've only known each other for a day and are already getting married.
>episode ends with Billy LITERALLY eating shit
Would this be allowed today?
You think this is the only time Billy has eaten shit?
no, kids might imitate it
Doesn't Billy eat shit on other episodes?
There's a post-movie rot episode of SpongeBob where Patrick eats a dirty diaper out of the dumpster
It's weird seeing the full credits without someone talking over them about what's up next
or an ad
I'm glad someone else brought this up, it was bothering the hell out of me
He eats dog shit from a bottle in the shower
>Must. Stop. The love..
I miss Richard Horvitz's work.
You still got him in Helluva Boss!
It's only been a week, and I'm already bored of the same 4 shows.
Then it doesn’t matter what they air because you will never be pleased
What season was this?
Wouldn’t Nergel Jr be a baby if he was conceived around that time?
He's an abomination from the center of the earth
yesterday's episode was a later season which is why Jr was present
he's techincally still a baby, but i guess nergal's grow fast.
In fact what the frick was nergal supposed to be anyway?
Season 2
Two episodes later, we will see Nergal Jr.
didn't notice this previously, but do all the B&M episodes use the same credits? it listed a bunch of characters who weren't even in today's episode
>do all the B&M episodes use the same credits?
In Season 1, yes. Evil Con Carne and Flapjack did the exact same thing in their first seasons as well.
I miss when they had actual outros
We barely get intros nowadays. It's just the show's title and the show starts.
>1 in 7 kids is hungry
Good, American kids are fat and should stop eating
I don't think the fat ones are the kids that was talking about.
You'd think the only people watching this block were balding black men with sickle cell disease who need to get cat shit odors out of their house
Jokes on you, I don't have sickle cell OR a house
>another cat villain
I thought she was a chihuahua.
Isn't the Gypsy a dog
Specifically a chihuahua?
Anyone remember that one shirley comic?
>Shirley
>gypsy
>begs
>asks for more
>then asks for even more
At least it has an escape clause that isn't just "pass it onto somebody else"
it must be a weird time now for 7 year olds to understand what adult swim is
I knew what Adult Swim was when I was 7, I grew balls to watch the anime when I was around 9
i mean because it has random cartoon network shows that mix between harmless like the eds and randomly creepy like courage or sometimes grim, with cartoon network branding still in tact and then "adult" cartoons later
No kids watch cable so it’s no issue
Shirley is reminded that ms. Cinemaphile is back?
Shirley aka Courage's wife.
That's not true
IT IS!
their is a lot of art of them
.......anyone else want to frick shirley?
R34 has made me like terrible things, but even I don't want that
ok but i mean they draw her kind of thicc
Shirley lost against fang if I recall correctly?
I mean, she isn't wrong, but she isn't that much selfless than Eustace.
I don’t help anyone either. Frick them.
i can't buy a stamp, im not made of money
What is that picture suppose to represent?
Dead dog in the garbage?
Of course everyone in nowhere freaks out the minute they see a black man
eustace yelling at muriel and pushing her down in a fight-like manner while courage is screaming with all those background noises made me stressed
I hate scenarios like that because they give me bad memories.
Billy got a nice fine ass.
N O S O L I C I T O R S
broke a mirror, seven years bad luck
Rare nice Eustace.
>Eustace being kind, if only for a few minutes
It's a nice ending.
Really this scene always fricked with me as a kid. Also the music makes the scene even sadder to me. Like makes you wonder how fricked eustaces life was as a kid
if his relationship with his mother is any indication, it was not nice
Ik but i mean just how fricked for it to have made eustace eustace you know.
Yeah everything he does to courage she does to him and a little worse if i remember
Doesn't his mom abuse him and that's where his behavior comes from?
I mean he probably grew up during the great depression, his family probably couldn't afford to buy him a hat
Aren't there a million photos from the Depression of poor kids wearing hats?
true but based on his brother seemed he was just the odd man out. His brother was big and strong most likely eustace was starved as a kid based on that one mom episode
why did he grow mushrooms?
He's a farmer
He was unclean.
>courage in a shack inna winter
this was an [as] bumper
>gets zapped by lightning
>turns into Duckman
You’re way behind
Why did they make an animated version of that Babbel ad when they already had a live-action one?
Animation is cinema
how else could they advertise on the cartoon network?
CHADARK
When I was a kid I always thought that Eustace and Muriel had an adult son who moved to the big city.
Did they ever have a kid?
why?
Bit of an autistic reason, but I always liked that there were no kids in the show, so even if Eustace and Muriel had a son, he'd be an adult too.
there were kids in Courage just not any reoccurring ones
their were kids, my guy but yeah i see your point though
There was a kid in the shadow episode
Y'know considering at least one segment of each show so far has been valentines or love themed you'd think they air the episode where a sea witch seduces Eustace and tries to eat him
i always loved the piano number when they first arrive to nyc
Just shwick
The only appearance of Bushwik.
It's Shwik
Just shwik
>"ain't nothin to watch"
he predicted the future
Man, that roach looks disgusting.
That's just the average NY citizen
Well, what bugs did you expect to see in New York, fireflies?
>"You see those bones? You wanna know what made those bones? You don't wanna know what made those bones."
Frickin peak comedy
Why is it so normal to encounter big talking animals and insects in this show.
they're in new york city right now, that's normal there even not on this show
it was pretty common in old animated shows
Hey the demon mattress dudes
>The fricking girl and the violin scene
This shit used to scare the frick out of me so bad when I knew it was coming I'd mute it and close my eyes while I count to 10
Do they have to pay for the stock footage?
>the violin girl
Ah yes, babies first Jump Scare
Briefs!
Boxers!
BOXERS!
Boxers!
BOXERS
>anthro giraffe
Helga Pataki looking ass
why name yourself that your cursing our thread
>Jumpscare
Sheesh Helga! No need to fly off the handle.
Watching Checkered Past makes me realise I watched way more episodes of Courage than I thought I did. Neaaaat.
CN regularly reran this show up until Cartoon Planet became the new hotspot in 2012
I like how Eustace and that roach is just shooting the shit while waiting for Courage.
he was actually a cool guy
>No driver
RUNAWAY TRAIN!!!!!!!
So, what made those bones?
You don't wanna know what made those bones
>"You bent my Weegee!"
>tfw whatever made those bones never had the door locked behind
See you tomorrow friends
Honestly, Courage was an odd show even back then.
>2000 channels
>Nothing to watch
that same joke was in Teen Titans, was it like a common saying?
yeah, ever since when there were 3 channels
worse 4000+ channels and nothing to watch
welp boys going to miss co to b***h a while
>tfw whiskers, the kitten that could name fruit is probably dead
>tfw pretty sure you met Sara fom Fridays but didn't ask if it was actually her
Tara**
Speaking of which, does anyone remember how before Tara there was a Nigress named Nzinga?
Literally just looked her up after looking up Tara
She seems like she hasn't done much as of late.
Wonder if AS could bring back some of the old Friday's host for a Checkered past Friday's while tossing in some actual new shows
What new shows, anon?
New shows into the CP block
Of which there is?
>Courage, Ed Edd n Eddy, Dexter, Billy and Mandy.
>No Johnny Bravo, I’am Weasel, and Cow & Chicken.
Feels so wrong.
That’s a shame.
How’s the video quality? They didn’t mess with the colors or anything, right?
Here's the shirley comic for you anons, only the first page

And now it begins for TV watchers on the West Coast. Given what I've heard people say here, I'm looking forward to it.
>Pokemon card knockoff episode
>In 2017
>When they already have mentioned Pokemon before
Ugh
>Currently on Billy & Mandy, the crush episode
So why is this kid following Billy around? He doesn't talk to him at all, he just stands there, so why? I mean, I guess it's "for the joke", but it's not like they couldn't have Billy and Mandy bump into him just around town.
I'm guessing Billy just latched onto the kid and made him his friend. It's probably how he met Mandy.
Mandy is a psycho b***h whose own parents are terrified of her. It's no surprise she's friends with the only kid too stupid to think she's scary or weird.
SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT CHECKERED PAST EVEN IS!!!!!!!!!!!
2 hour programming block of old Cartoon Cartoons on Adult Swim in the USA
That's nice. I didn't know cable still existed though.
