Unlike specialeffects/props/puppets/, CGI doesn't require actual camera work and proper lightning, so everyone involved got lazy. Why waste hours setting up a perfect shot, when some pajeet animator can do the needful for minimum wage.

A lot has to do with camera work. If something is completely CG the camera won't move naturally and it feels like a video game
