Miller basically consider all his Batman stuff to be in the same timeline.Even though it doesn't quite work (in DKR, Dick names the Batmobile, in All-Star, Dick thinks naming it the BAtmobile is gay)
Only turned into that after the negative response to the first two issues. Miller amped up the camp and gave us the goddamn Batman.
Newfags don't remember the delays.
Miller was a supremely poor choice for this project. The All Star line was supposed to depict the featured characters at their best, their most iconic version, which Miller's Batman is anything but. Miller thinks Batman should be an unhinged crazy asshole, so that's what he wrote. And when people said it was terrible he pretended that he meant for it to be terrible. Which makes no difference, a comic that's terrible on purpose is not any better than a comic that's terrible by accident.
>supposed to depict the featured characters at their best, their most iconic version
His Dark Knight Returns was already that. Even All-Star Superman is really just Superman's TDKR.
That’s because they’re autistic and Batman is le serious character for sophisticated adults anon
>it's supposed to be bad on purpose
nah, Frank just got old and can't write for shit after the 90s
Things are in fact bad on purpose quite often. It isn't the gotcha you think it is.
No, you’re just autistic and unironically exactly as described:
Batman should be comedy relief.
So we agree Merry little Batman is the best Bruce we gotten in a decade?
It doesn't work as a comedy. It doesn't work as anything. It is just not very good.
I'M THE GODDAMNED BATMAN
Jim Lee couldn't sell the humor.
Is this the one where Bruce gives off pedo vibes towards Dick?
>millionaire which means he had to sell out
>Becomes a pedo
>adopts little boys
The writing is on the wall
Isn't it a prequel to TDKR? In that universe Dick becomes a new Joker.
>Isn't it a prequel to TDKR?
I'm pretty sure that was the original idea, yeah.

It's just not that good. And it's unfinished.

If you could re-do it who would you pick for an All-Star Batman?

It's my favorite Batman Comic
