Ah, so likely they're gunna give Scott's temptation role to Ramona.
[...]
She only appeared in one volume, and was the only one that made Kim smile. Honestly, Imma be honest, I don't know what people see in Lisa. Like, she's the childhood friend comes, unresolved feeling, but ultimately it serves to progress Scott's character in Volume 4.
>Honestly, Imma be honest, I don't know what people see in Lisa
if anything, she is too good for scott

compared to either lisa or kim, she is easily the nicest of the three and matched only by knives

she's cute and blonde. That's it. She kinda sorta had a minor role to play, but she's very much a non-essential character and if they're trimming fat from the books for the adaptation, she'd be an obvious candidate.
Eh. Vols 1-3 is the good part, and it's REALLY good; it's shocking how brutally downhill the series went from there.
If they do the Envy/TCaDH part justice (which the movie failed to do) I'll be satisfied with the series even as little interest I have for it by this point.
The live-action movie really had to cut a lot of parts, and most of it was due to giving Knives more of a focus. But I do hope the Envy part of the storyline would be done justice.
Also, I've noticed in the trailers that Envy was beating a guy. Guess in the animated series, Envy got tired of Wallace, and started to attack him.
Yeah, a factor was how they had to condense a 5 volume series into a movie-length narrative and make up an ending as the 6th volume was being made at the same time. The result was ok given the constraints but I think the really bad part about the Envy character wasn't the cuts but the actress' performance: too silly and approached as a breathy-femme-fatale-parody rather than as a slight exaggeration of an otherwise realistic person gone wrong (which the comics do in detail; the flashbacks are very bittersweet and inform Scott's character as well).
I think they just wanted to showcase the movie cast. No confirmation yet for Lisa, because well, she's wasn't in the movie. They're just using the movie as advert.
She was the focal point of the 4th book
She’s not like Comeau or Sandra & Monique who are more like gags than characters
You’d think they’d advertise the voice of 1/6 of the story if she was in it
Quite frankly I couldn't care less about the show, it's netflix and my faith in them has bottomed out, but like a previous anon said, they could simply be flexing and trying to show that all the major players from the movie are reprising their original roles to generate what small amount of hype they can get.
What is even the point of making it an anime series if they're gonna follow the plot just as loosely as the movie? Like just make another movie at this point
IT'S SO OVER. THERE'S NO HOPE
What is with Cinemaphile's obsession for the dumb thirsty childhood friend cliché?
compared to either lisa or kim, she is easily the nicest of the three and matched only by knives
But she is Lisa
oops, meant ramona

Then who's gunna fill that one niche of Scott not cheating on Ramona during Volume 4? Kim?
They'll loosely follow the way it was done in the movie. With the focus on Roxy and Ramona and not on Scott and his temptation.

So Ramona will think about cheating with a woman?

Confirmed by who? Your ass?
It's over, Lisabros.

How bout the other 2 dozen supporting characters that aren't listed on that credit splash??
Sorry but this is reaching

People love to panic
If true, what is the point of a new adaption if it still won't adapt the entire thing faithfully?
The author is the main credited writer and he's expressed in the past his ambition to address hindsight regrets about the story and characters.
Oh, so you're bullshitting. Why would he just not include Lisa but make her black?

To add more shitskins and trannies of course.
Are you fricking kidding me? Where?
are they really cutting her out or are you just schizo maxxing
i never understood why they casted Michael Fricking Cera. He doesnt have Scott Energy, he doesnt have the looks.
Yeah the dude does not fit Scott at all. He's way too pathetic and dweeby for the role.
