Too many characters and events, movies would get rushed. Make it a short Series.

      still waiting for this adaptation

GTA would be too high of a budget for all the action and explosions ect, at least bully is a semi realistic setting + plot
It's not like you need to show every mission, you could easily whittle it down to a 90 min movie

Bully has to border on 3 hours or don't bother. 90 minutes? Kys.

I played on iPad and it was very hard to target who you wanted to attack if multiple enemies are hitting you
I was supposed to be escorting the nerd dude to the toilet but everytime he got too close I'd accidentally start hitting him

      360 hands fricking down.
I bought the copy from the sony store on the ps4 thinking it was the remastered version and no it's the fricking ps2 version.
Which would have been cool if I hadn't already played though the 360 one which had better graphics making everything more coherent and the controls weren't so "sticky" I guess I'll describe it as.

It's just way more relatable to a kid. I start to notice I don't like games with school settings as much as when I was a kid.

Could it work? Yeah, sure. Would it get made? No, just because of the title alone. Even if someone decided to look over the title and go with the name it was given in Europe, Canis Canem Edit, and explained the story is about bullying the bullies, the whole bullying issue is a very touchy subject that no studio would like to portray positively.
As for the adaptation itself, it could work as long as you accept it's a loose adaptation and don't show every single quest escorting random people or fetching stuff.
Make it a basic 3-act thing rather than 5 or 6 like the games has. Instead of dealing with each gang in an act, focus on Jimmy taking over all of them in act 1 then getting backstabbed at the end, preparing his return in act 2 and confronting Gary in act 3. Either make it all about the Townies in act 2 or don't mention them at all, I'd prefer the latter. 100 or 120 minutes runtime. It could definitely work.

It would have to be like more than 3 hours to properly get justice and it has to start with a 1 minute fight in the car instead of some gay 30 minute build-up to him getting into the school
    >new student orientation and welcoming "fair"
    >bothered by the nerds about clubs, insulted by the jocks "looks like no new blood this year, maybe a waterboy if he trains hard enough", preppy kids pointing out what whether someone is going to be a janitor or a crackhead. Then of course the big dumb homie bullying some kids in the background and the sociopath kid looking at him and seeing if he is a pawn or a threat
Easily introduce most of the cast in less than 5 minutes in a chaotic but realistic way and Bully kind of waves them all off as he is needed in the principals office for a meeting
From there you can handle the storyline with 2hrs and 55 minutes of play time
It'll be the closest thing we get to a live action Kid Next Door but without the tech

Houser (the based one who left) wouldn't allow it. It's the same reason there's never been a GTA movie despite it guaranteeing to make money and it being a huge IP.
I only know because they got asked about it in an interview a few years back. Basically they both said that they knew israelites would destroy it and they already have enough money so there's no incentive.
The based one left R* because of Takeisraelite and the GTAV fiasco. All of that DLC was originally meant to be future free updates for both online and offline. Takeisraelite panicked when they realized how much they could lose out on in potential ~~*DLC*~~ sales so they said no. They tried to compromise and said the updates could be free for offline and paid for online in that case. Takeisraelite panicked again and said no because if people were playing it offline for free they wouldn't pay to play the same thing online. Then the based one ended up leaving. He even got asked about why R* don't just publish it themselves and he said it would cost so much that they wouldn't be able to buy out of the contract with Takeisraelite so they were stuck.

Moral of the story? Don't trust israelites.

Did they have a continuing storyline with a college sequel or was this a whole new story?

        Anonymous

Continuing story but I don't think Jimmy was in college, though it was set in a New England college town though it had diverse economic division with a wealthy part of town and a poorer part of town. The story was he was spending summer in his stepdad's mansion and I imagine having to participate in summer school while there. There was also a summer camp and there was one mission that was inspired by the Kamp Krusty episode of Simpsons.

Sounds pretty fricking great actually and it sucks that we will never see that.
To think that if it got made we might have gotten a trailer for Bully 3 this year or have his storyline mix into GTA 6 as the main character

Bully the movie: target audience is zoomers
          >boy in school says mean thing
          >main character spends next 2 hours in therapy because of it
          Boring

Don't forget you can kiss boys in the game as jimmy so they'd probably make him gay too

            >To think that if it got made we might have gotten a trailer for Bully 3 this year or have his storyline mix into GTA 6 as the main character
It got cancelled years ago. There's a fricking fully playable build with 6-8 hours of story at Rockstar that will never see the light of day. Apparently according to some dev they were around 2-3 years of development away from being ready for release. Blows my mind that all that work, and potential money, can just be shelved and forgotten about.
