What's Cinemaphile's consensus on this show anyway?

IRL she literally rescued a teenage boy whom Dahmer was murdering, then Dahmer claimed "he's my boyfriend, he's just drunk" and 2 beat cops took his word for it and let him take the kid home to be tortured to death.

"In the early morning hours of May 27, Dahmer returned toward his apartment to discover Sinthasomphone sitting naked on the corner of 25th and State, talking in Lao, with three distressed young women standing near him.[165][166] Dahmer approached the women and told them that Sinthasomphone (whom he referred to by the alias John Hmong)[167][168] was his friend, and attempted to lead him to his apartment by the arm. The three women dissuaded Dahmer, explaining they had phoned 9-1-1.[169]

Upon the arrival of two Milwaukee police officers, John Balcerzak and Joseph Gabrish,[170] Dahmer's demeanor relaxed: he told the officers that Sinthasomphone was his 19-year-old boyfriend, that he had drunk too much following a quarrel,[171] and that he frequently behaved in this manner when intoxicated. Dahmer added his lover had consumed Jack Daniel's whiskey that evening.

The three women were exasperated, and when one of the trio attempted to indicate to one of the officers—both of whom had observed no injuries beyond a scrape to Sinthasomphone's knee and believed him to be intoxicated[172]—that Sinthasomphone had blood upon his testicles, was bleeding from his rectum and that he had seemingly struggled against Dahmer's attempts to walk him to his apartment prior to their arrival,[n 8] the officer harshly informed her to "butt out",[173] "shut the hell up" and to not interfere."

The first warning sign was when they added a scene of black people protesting with the BLM fist. I know that fist was a thing back then, but it was rare, and usually only seen at black panther rallies.
If you look at actual footage of Dahmer protests, it was mostly white people.
The show is filled with dumb shit it just makes up for the hell of it. Like how the prison guards were complicit in allowing that out of control black man to kill Dahmer. Or how those two cops were abusing that Thai family over the phone.

Yeah this chick was unlikeable as frick. I’m sure the person in real life was not that bad. But the chick in this show was literally b***hing and condescending innocent people in every scene because of what Jeffrey Dahmer did to her son. It wasn’t those people’s fault.

she had a microscopic role in the actual story
      >"he gave me a sandwich once...i hope it dont have human meat."
why did they blow up her role like that

They sort of combined different people into one for her character, I guess because these people are still alive and not everyone wants their real lives and names to be depicted for a show, legality etc. In reality the next door neighbor woman liked him and did actually eat the sandwich because she didn't suspect anything, it did not go down like that according to her herself. He also had a neighbor across the hall who liked him who wrote a book about it.
The women her character was based on primarily were the ones who phoned the cops when the Philipino 14 y.o. was found, and they were from the next building over IIRC.

OP here. I don't mind the actor. I hated the way the character she was written. Irrational, loud and annoying black woman. Portrayed like some kind of hero.
It was also kinda dumb how Dahmer turned into a comic book villain while he was in prison. Playing pranks on prisoners, acting all cool. That shit didn't happen, but it was inserted so people wouldn't feel as bad about his violent murder.

No, especially when you know the last victim who survived didn't even want Dahmer arrested, he just wanted to be unlocked from the cuffs and leave. The only reason they caught Dahmer was because the police couldn't unlock the handcuffs and had to go back to Dahmer's apartment for the key. It's typical from those communities.

You’ve let this show subtly influence your perception. Those gay bars he visited were not all black. At least 30% of the guys there were white, probably more considering how homophobic black people are.

Jeffery Dahmer was a coalburning bawd bro. To put things into context, most of his white victims were from before he moved into the hood. But after he moves into the hood, almost all of his victims are black despite visiting gay bars where you’d expect most people to be white (despite being in a black neighborhood)

Black victims in a black neighborhood? Something ain't adding up!

The gay bars he picked up victims from were not majority black. People from all over the city and the suburbs go to the same bars because there wasn’t a lot of them back then. I go to music shows every now and then, these shows are located in black neighborhoods and guess what? It’s a very diverse crowd. Not all black. That’s because people from all over go to the same venues. I imagine it would work the same for gay bars but even moreso because black people are homophobic as frick and would rather stay closeted than be seen in a gay bar.

What they said is very disputable. There is no reason to assume the gay bars he picked up victims from were majority black. Black communities do not translate into black clubs. Dahmer could have been picking up white people instead.

What I hated was the episode woth the deaf black guy as his boyfriend, it delved into complete fiction. I was following along with victims and life events and they were doing a fairly decent job until this complete fairy tale they crafted for no reason other than to make an entire episode about a gay deaf black man.
