Crazy how growing up in the 2000s, you were sureounded by all kinds of cool shows and movies and you took it for granted that this is gonna go forver.
Jumpcut 14 years later and the culture has been nothing but e-celebs, tik-tok, onlyfans ans brainrot.
It almost feels like the 2000s were set on a whole different planet.

Dumb idiot is too much of a dumb idiot to recognize the objective decline of culture and society.
2000s had Pixar and now I don’t even like Pixar (2D animations is better) but they were at least doing the new cool thing never seen before with a great deal of technical competence and ingenuity, Pixar got stale like 10 years ago and nothing new came to replace them.
That’s just one example of the decline of art and culture that surrouds us.
get off the internet you fricking homosexual
And what good is happening outside the internet? Should I go to modern universities and intelelctual clubs where some sjw tries to shill me their queer/feminist marxist literature.
Music festivals where the same trashy rap music has been playing around for the last 14 years?
Everything outside the internet is just as bad as the internet. Culture is declining all around.
The people you are gonna meet are the same npcs drenched in modern culture who fail to notice the decline, they are boring, shallow and have soulless eyes.
The cities are ugly as we fail to innovate arsthetically and just install ugly benches and barb wite to drive away the homeless and crackheads, we’ve failed to resolve any of our problems in the last 20 years and added even more problems in terms of declining culture, identity politics, gentrification, soulless everything due to globalization, lack of authenticity and organic culture, social media clout chasing and all kinda of nonsense. Absolutely nothing good is happening on planet earth right now!
How the frick would you even know you don't go outside
I do go outside, troony! The beach is nice and all with freinds but it would be nice to be at the beach with friends and also have the entirety of human culture not decaying around us.
>and now I don’t even like Pixar
Yeah, there's no point to it now that Disney is making everything 3D as well.
And they’re making worse than Poxar was doing 10 years ago. The technology got marginally better but everything else went to complete shit.
>2000s had Pixar
yeh it's kinda crazy, the last Pixar movie I watched in theaters was Wall E and afterwards I aged out of it, but there was a point where you knew you were getting quality when walking into a Pixar movie.
The most amazing difference is that this level of quality came easily to virtually every creative industry yet it's all but totally evaporated today.
Just in the span of 10-15 years. Kinda insane, despie all the new tools, technology, ease of acess, improved standards of living.
I think something we have to face about modern civilisation is that this has happened to every element of culture. There's no great artists, philosophers, composers, poets, politicians, religious figures, etc. today. Somehow modernity has destroyed all of it. Despite how boring the result is, it's really pretty cool to be living in such times.
Avatar cartoon was mediocre.
And yet it’s still better made, more creative, and to this day more fresh than all the icons of pop culture in the last 15 years. What does this say about modern pop culture?
Christ dude it’s just a knockoff anime, that ultimately failed to gain anime level popularity, meaning it became a genre consisting of one show.
Doesn’t alter my point.
Your “point” is romanticization of the western entertainment industry’s decline. The 00s was the period where, due to steadily growing internet access and fledgling social media, the west was losing the ability to appeal to youth demographics. Suddenly needing to be creative and unique, after decades of having a captive market, resulted in a few sparks, that were ultimately snuffed out by executive mismanagement and simple inability to compete with unrestrained creativity offered by shit like newgrounds, much less anime/manga.
>Suddenly needing to be creative and unique, after decades of having a captive market, resulted in a few sparks, that were ultimately snuffed out by executive mismanagement and simple inability to compete with unrestrained creativity offered by shit like newgrounds, much less anime/manga.
NIce terse summary but do you have more?
What more do you need?
> unrestrained creativity offered by shit like newgrounds, much less anime/manga.
Laugh my ass off. Newgrounds and flash is dead replaced by trashy mobile games and tik-tok content, even anime/manga is worse now than it was in the 2000s.
You are an idiot. You don’t know anything about anything. It’s not just a west problem it’s an everywhere problem.
wow, if only I was talking about the 00s specifically, rather than now, i wouldn't have been so thoroughly btfo
What point are you even trying to make?
That due to a low IQ, you've compressed about 30 years of events into a single endless now, that you're incapable of comprehending that newgrounds in the 00s was different than newgrounds now.
I don't understand. elaborate how these 30 years played out.
I did at
you could've just answered
Western media in the late 90s and early 00s was so bad anime became globally popular.
Why do you think they’re allowing mass immigration? They see the same writing on the walls as you, test scores going down and every kid wants to be a TikToker. In ten-fifteen years there’s going to be an entire generation of broken adults refusing to work instead of just the small percentage that you find on Cinemaphile and twitter. If they banned TikTok tomorrow it wouldn’t solve this problem.
>old thing good
>new thing my
What an unique train of thought OP. I'm sure nobody had these same thoughts about the cartoons you watched as a child.
Mass internet access and the rise of social media did irreparable damage to society
