It's very annoying if you leave it for months and then pick it up, because it has such extreme details in characters and events in relation to time that you need to do homework to get back to it.
So do yourself a favor and if you watch it: do it non stop without even a week's pause.
PS it's also why I don't think it works well with multiple seasons unless you watch them without pause.
I left it after season 1 for 14 months, and I was completely lost when I picked up s2.
