Take the real black pill. Most storytimes are conducted by interns or people who worked on the comics.
Back issue and SOP storytimes are many times legit but even then (as with the case for the From Hell spam last year) if they coincide with a new trade release they’re likely shilling efforts.
Look out around Black Friday, you’ll notice some that have new collections and deals being pushed.

I want to object to the theory, since I doubt we have more than a thousand posters active at any given time, but then I realized the sales numbers for collected editions rarely ever exceed a few thousand when released so the effort is oddly worth it probably
