I genuinely hate the rotating artists gimmick. Completely undermines the fact that one artist did all of the prior stories.
It’s moronic enough in shit like Millarverse books. Its absolutely senseless for a continuation of 35-40 issues done by one extremely specific artist.
Yeah, for the Loeb/Sale Saga, I agree. But I'd much rather a Seven Soldier of Victory full of great art over 4 issues of a superstar artist followed by awful 2-3 fill in issues by an absolute shitter.
I don't like Tim Sale's art.
I'll put up with the rotating artists if it means I get more genuine post-crisis Batman again.

Can someone tell me why they give writers such long tenures these days? There is no reason why chip and Ram should have been on the bat books for so long.

Ram for 2 years and chip for a bit longer. And neither deserved more than 8 issues.
Deserve ain't got nothing to do with it. 2 years is not a lot, especially compared to 30-50 years ago.

Given the reality of the current crop of writers? That means, yes, most writers should spend no more than 15 issues on a series. But that’s without renumbering between them and without letting them treat their first and last issues as chapter one and the last chapter of a book. Like ongoing comics were traditionally written, you know all those comics you’ve never read.

Yeah. Damian would be completely justified in killing Bane after Bane killed Alfred in front of him.
Isn't that the point? They're not friends, it's an uneasy alliance, they sure as hell don't like Bane, specially after what he did to Alfred, but they also can't let their emotions cloud their judgements.

I was half joking anon. That's what happened one of the times they worked together. But that was also when Bane said he reformed and it took most of the story for Batman to cooperate with him. People seem to forget that Batman has worked with the Joker multiple times among other villains.

I totally forgot about this character. This is the style of the cartoon too. Is it set in that continuity or something? Cover reminds me of the fanfics I used to read when I was a kid. Good times.
I think the Plastic Man concept is cool.
9/11 is literally one of the most definitive moments of the 21st century. So much of politics, culture, pop-culture, and international policy can be traced back to that moment. It makes perfect sense to draw to it when writing a character like Jenny Sparks.

Exiled and Other Stories is the immediate follow-up to the four Byrne/Wolfman HCs.
Sadly there will be a decent chunk of material still unavailable between E&OS and Triangle Era 1; a couple of issues were reprinted with the Action Comics Weekly serial stories but that's long long out of print and only a TPB.
