Someone playing the original Super Mario Bros. today isn't gonna find it nearly as amazing as someone playing it in 1985. There are some things that you had to be there for to get the full experience.

This is where I strongly disagree. I think the word you're looking for is "willing", not "capable". If zoomers were WILLING to watch Robocop, I think they'd love it because of all the explosions, guns, blood, and swearing. Zoomers love action movies. However, most of them aren't willing to watch it because it's "old".
That's just a taste thing then. People raised on iPhones and social media definitely have worse taste due to being raised by algorithms instead of naturally produced content.
