The other thing I've noticed is that we are limited in how we can depict events, especially considering the need to sell games/toys. Thor's blow in GOW:Ragnarok which explicitly sundered time itself and hurled Jormungandr back to the past was a two-second bonk before the actual concern of the developers (Thor being swayed by Kratos) could begin. Yes, it is more intimate and thus not as spectacular as Asura's Wrath, but consider which series sold a lot more copies. We can't expect many series to handle things like Asura's Wrath because it wasn't successful.
In conclusion, we need to accept that characters can exchange information in fractions of time lower than their speed would suggest because everybody in comics/cartoons/manga/anime is a lippy bastard and stories sell.

Most wouldn't care as in that particular matchup / circumstances Kratos still gets fraud checked by someone who has actual in game lore wank and dev support rather than pure headcanon
It's less they aren't allowed to be powerful, but more that what they actually do doesn't match up to the lore that people are pulling this power from. Like Kratos is supposed to be FTL, but he still walks around normally, has to take dog sleds everywhere, and was getting blitzed by Balder, who we can see moving, and measure the distance against background objects, which definitely isn't FTL. Even if you want to go back to the original series, where the FTL wank came from, it still isn't supported, since Kratos is still running everywhere, just only slightly faster than the standard guards.
Kratos is worse because not even his own lore supports it. Its just people tying it to max literature myth wank when the GoW greek gods are not that level
I'd personally say Slayer's is worse, since he's supposed to be uni/multiversal by killing the Icon of Sin, but he uses the same gun he uses the rest of the time, and I'd imagine a universal level rocket would at least blast a chunk out of a building wall on a miss, which is something Red Faction could do back in 2001. So it comes down to his special demon killing field really only works on demons, which basically like having kryptonite bullets. Real effective on one super strong guy, the rest eat you alive.

It doesn't. The song ends with the same motif used for Makima throughout, which is very SMT inspired. DJ said he sent wolf SMT music to represent Makima. You can hear it fairly early on in the song after the very obvious 'Domain Expansion' riff finishes and at the beginning when Makima glares at him in the movie theater. The "bang" noise was only in the leaked version, not the one therewolf uploaded. I doubt it means anything, it was probably an editing mistake.

To be brutally blunt, I feel like Team Makima has a clearer wincon sadly (I would prefer a Gojo win so the threads are not insufferable for weeks). She just needs to not get instantly fricked and use Control. Even with brain resets, Control basically ends up being a win unless Gojo can disable the contract or kill her fast enough to dodge the hax. If you do not buy the FTL feats in JJK, its even harder to do that. I feel like this MU is going to be a lot like Vaderbito sadly: unless you buy the high end for one character, a bunch of little factors just push it towards the other.

It's not about whether it counts as an attack, she's consistently shown to take injuries beforehand. You have to assume the contract works even after total vaporization.
I mean, the problem is that she just has not shown any reason to assume it can't work from that. If you take the wording as is, it would imply just any attack. Without any evidence that the contract doesn't work after vaporization, you unfortunately have to assume it does.

The issue is that moment was able to work due to a loophole in the contract. The only reason that attack was able to work is because Denji is madly in love with Makima and saw the attack as one out of love rather than malice. Since it did not meet the requirements for her Contract, she couldn't regenerate from it.
I'm talking about before she's eaten, it's mentioned people were constantly dying as she was contained in those lunchboxes. The contract is trying to revive her then but it can't because her body wasn't able to physically come together.
That's kinda nullifies the whole "kill her a billion times" thing since all you really need to do is kill her once and then find some way to just stop her coming back for maybe a week.

I doubt Domain Expansion would even work on her. For one, she kind of no sold a similar thing from the Cosmos Devil iirc. I guess its different because one is the infinite information of the cosmos and the other is infinitely expanding information, but in practice both are infinite. I am also pretty sure it would count as an attack and just get negged by the Contract.
Also, the track seems to imply its not a factor. You can hear its theme super early on around 30 seconds in, so I think in the fight at least its not going to be a factor.

She is able to get the benefits of Devil contracts through using people as a proxy (if I’m remembering right, she can’t make Devil contracts herself, she gets their powers through forcing others with contracts into a contract with her), and so probably could have through Quanxi. However, by the time she’s controlled Quanxi, Cosmo is already dead.
She shouldn’t be able to do what Cosmo can do with this infinite information thing, it’s a question of interpreting the scene as either Cosmo getting the attack off and it failing, or Cosmo having not tried at all.

Also, we're composting only the official D&D depictions of the Tarrasque because those are the same creature, the Pathfinder version has its own thing going on and it wouldn't make sense to include it. For the sake of the hypothetical, assume we are dealing with a Tarrasque that has all of the abilities and feats that a D&D tarrasque has officially displayed in actual D&D media.

Here's the tarrasque's 3.5 stats, of note is that Regeneration 40 and DR 15/epic
by comparison in D&D a 5.56 chambered rifle deals 1d8 damage, as such you could magdump an infinite amount of that into the Tarrasque without hurting it

You could also restrain it enough that it can't move and force it to rely on raw strength checks instead of damaging attacks to try and break free -- its strength score is impressive, admittedly, but that's going to be much harder for it than digging a hole through the wall.

It's going to be an uphill battle for any setting without magic, because the Tarrasque has an inherent Immunity to all forms of physical damage that lack magical attunement, and the Immunity to Fire would prevent something like a bomb from even scratching it.
Something like Lasers might be able to affect it, D&D treats those as Force or Lightning damage, which would feasibly be able to pierce its hide and hurt it, but since this is a composite of all the editions the super regeneration is going to be a problem.
You'd need to hit it with a VERY BIG laser in order to bring it down, and even then it's questionable if it'd be enough to keep it down for long.

If it's "composite" Tarrasque who has immunity to everything in a non-magical setting, the last resort option is actually to wait for it to fall asleep and then shove it in a hole. The Tarrasque still only wakes up briefly to sate its hunger, and does not hold grudges because it is not intelligent enough to, after all. So you'd need a flat area where it can't get distracted by easier food, but is also closed in so they can't just drive away from it.

He hadn't figured long-distance teleportation both times he fought Toji. Jogo was easier to deal with with his "conventional" attacks, and his status as a disaster curse might have allowed him to escape such environments. In Shibuya, not only were both Jogo and Hanami using DA to nullify limitless, leaving any of the curses alone with the civilians wasn't an option. Sukuna was seamlessly using DA the entire time he fought him. Additionally, all of the aforementioned characters sans maybe Toji have significantly higher durability than Makima, who can die to small-arms fire.
