>Did she have a point?
Don't care, she wasn't in the comics.
She was, but depicted very differently from the Series version. For starters she was a blonde.
and white
And she thought Mark was a drug dealer
>Did she have a point?
No
Don't worry, she's going to be killed off in Season 2 to make way for Mark and Atom Eve getting together.
>Season 2
lol
It’s happening
The show is already confirmed for a season 3, moron
She's TECHNICALLY right but she went about it the most b***h way possible
And Mark was wrong, and went about it in the most pathetically simpy and dishonest way possible. Neither of them are perfect.
>And Mark was wrong, and went about it in the most pathetically simpy and dishonest way possible. Neither of them are perfect.
that is so incredibly untrue.
this b***h is a self centered c**t. frick her. And then she comes crawling back AFTER she sees the shit he has to deal with fighting omniman, not knowing that he has responsibilities to people other than just her.
She's actually a c**t, If I were mark I'd probably fly her out to the lake.
>that is so incredibly untrue.
>let me reinforce that by saying God I hate Women So Fricking Much.
Profound.
It may be hateful but it’s true
No, I wouldn't trust some muggle b***h with no committed duty to not spill the beans at the lightest pressure from a supervillain or some shit, go frick yourself c**t
He dated her for at MOST a month. The fact she expects him to tell her such life changing information (despite her already knowing, which means she was just being an abusive piece of shit) is moronic.
>despite her already knowing, which means she was just being an abusive piece of shit
Literally this
If she figured it out only shortly before the confrontation, I could probably forgive her. Even then, they had been together for a MONTH
Hope she kills herself
>He dated her for at MOST a month
episode 7 has Eve confirm that it's been 6 months since they started going out
the show doesn't do a great job of showing you that time is passing, apparently they were at the college thing for TWO WEEKS when I thought it was 2-3 days at most
I thought it was a year
Didnt the show start with Mark starting his final year
>despite her knowing
This is what makes her a c**t.
>She knows that he's a hero
>When the school is attacked he obviously runs off to change outfits and save everyone
>Like an absolute b***h she yells at him "WHERE WERE YOU?" as if she actually expects him to tell her he's a hero in front of everyone
Absolute c**t
>despite her already knowing
If she did know she should've confronted him in a mature way instead she chose to play games with his head and brush him off once he finally was honest with her.
I'd be ecstatic if she didn't show for season 2 and Mark just casually mentions they stopped seeing each other between seasons.
Yes and no. Unfortunately they fumbled that ball. I kept waiting after S1 was over for some writer to explain why her writing was so weird but I guess it never happened
Can we discuss the comic?
I wish we got to see a spin of that Mark went back to the past and Rex didn't go crazy because of it, I liked him when he was a robot. Also the dinosaur guy was sad for me, he was cool and saved Mark sad that without supervision he killed lots of people.
Yeah, I like that part too. I wouldn't mind a full volume about that, or a spinoff is also fine. As is, it's kinda short tbdesu
Dinosaur guy was basically robot but opposite
>want the greatest good
>went about the wrong way
>almost won
>mark solved the problem by talking
A very, very weak point she expressed so badly her perspective and opinions were rendered worthless
Yes. She entirely in her right to dump him. If he couldn't make time for her, she has the right to find someone else. Even if Mark's duties are important.
I feel like the cartoon missed the whole point of Amber, but the author was onboard so what do I know
Hard agree. Amber in the comics was well done.
Let's see how she's written in ss2
He changed the point, clearly.
We'll see about that.
100%. The cast was too white for modern day, so Kirkman had to pick some less important characters to brownify. And, to Kirkman--if you've read through the comics of Walking Dead--being a black woman means being a catty and apathetic b***h all the time, going by Micchone.
Being a superhero is a full time job with life threatening consequences and only a fricking idiot would willingly choose to be Mary Jane unless she was truly in love. There was a mature way to say that wasn't for her, but framing it as some kind of honesty test is fricking crazy. If Mark came out and said honestly, "Yeah, I'm Invincible. That's my face getting caved in by the villain of the week and someday it might be yours," and that would be the difference between her staying with him, she's legitimately insane.
No, she would've had a point if she didn't know Mark's secret. That fact that she knew and still acted like such a colossal b***h makes her completely psychotic.
She knew mark was invincible but didn't know his dad was omni man even thought that was more obvious
A lot of people look like Omni Man
I don't just hate Amber. I hate that the show writers clearly were taking her side based on how the whole thing was approached. They seriously thought she was completely reasonable, and that seriously makes me worry for the upcoming seasons.
Spot on, anon. She snapped at him and suffered no consequences. Also, she knew about it during the reanimen attack on the campus and still gave him shit about it with no chance to explain (even though she wanted Mark to explain it to her, the thing she already knew).
I hope they break up between seasons and never mention her again. What a mess.
What I really want to see is how they handle her in the future. Kirkman has shown he tends to at least notice and acknowledge fan perspectives to his work, so he is definitely aware that LITERALLY EVERYBODY - not just white males but black males and females, feminists, MRAs, etc. are all united in seeing Amber as a stupid entitled butthole. So will the future seasons show the other characters find her as insufferable as the audience? Will she have any kind of epiphany? Will they double down on her?
The ultimate female fantasy is no consequences for shitty behaviour. All of their politics and social issues is centered around the basis premise of actions without consequences.
>Did she have a point?
She does in the vacuum, but in the context of the series the whole things felt incredibly moronic.
They were both wrong. Mark should have realized that he was unable to balance being a hero in training and being in a relationship with Amber. So he should have either told her he's a hero or broken up with her. And Amber upon finding out that Mark was a hero should have confronted him about it instead of keeping it to herself.
Amber is an insane c**t. Mark kind of blew it on his side too but not for any of the things she accused him of.
Been listening to a lot of Surviving Infidelity reddit stories on youtube lately, and when it's the woman cheating, they will absolutely place all blame squarely on the man for any shitty thing they do. It's insane how they'll go from crying and apologetic to wanting to ruin the guy in the same day because they didn't accept their affair. In one instance, this woman was cheating for months, the guy found out, started acting just like her by hiding his phone and not telling her anything or showing affection, and she had the nerve to finally dress the guy down and ask point blank if he was cheating. He just laughed in her face and walked out, then watched her texts in real time as she told her affair partner about it all distraught.
"You lied to me" is all a certain kind of woman needs to feel entitled to do whatever they want. Even if she was doing it before the offense.
>woman
>having a point
No.
Not really. Dude felt clearly uncomfortable talking about what he does in privacy and he just needed some time to come out. If she doesn't like that it's fine to break up but there really is no point in getting pissy with him before when she knew what he did is save people.
Yes, even if she did it in a very bad way and inflicted Mark with undue stress.
She literally doesn't in any capacity.
Frick this b***h, she did not deserve Mark
No, she was an obnoxious selfish b***h already looking to hop on the next dick. Invincible can do better.
Trusting women to begin with, that´s a mistake and Mark did nothing wrong.
So many people experienced her first hand not knowing how poorly handled she got in the animated adaptation and lapped up all of the poor writing for her at face value. Fortunately she doesn't amount to much and is an after thought continuing on from here until her final appearances later.
Making her black honestly made zero difference to the character other than ticking political agenda boxes at the end of the day, so that was hilariously pointless.
it's actually racist, because they made the black girl a gaslighting b***h
idpol liberals don't understand how racist they are
She had a point but she didn't have to be such a b***h about it
This b***h knew Mark was a hero before their college trip. I hate her so fricking much. All she had to do was confront him about his hero life and break up with him because he couldn't balance being a hero and being in a relationship well. But instead she kept it to herself, got mad at him for hiding a secret identity while he saved lives right in front of her.
Amber did have a point, Mark was terrible at balancing his responsibilities. But the way she handled it was so fricking bad that she lost all sympathy.
Exactly this. Amber breaking up with Mark is perfectly understandable. She can acknowledge that it's not in any way Mark's fault, but that he simply can't give her the committed relationship she wants. If the writers really wanted to run with the whole "I figured it out months ago" thing they could've had her postpone breaking up as to not negatively impact Mark's superhero work, only for her to realize there's no such thing as a good time to break up with someone.
Everyone who's watched Invincible hates Amber. Every person I talked to about it said that she was a dumbass and that Mark deserves better.
yes; youre supposed to trust in a relationship. yes shes kind of a b***h, but like mark did lie to her. even if his reasons were legit a lie still hurts
>Ends up changing comic scene to her forcing herself on Amber
Hot
> Cartoon vultrumite women have dicks
> It's bigger than the males's
> Like hyenas, they use it to prove superiority
>The black dude she gets with in the comic is replaced by Amber, unknowingly raising Mark's rape baby
kino
Yes. He was adamant on planning their lives out together like going to the same college and consistently making plans but not showing up or bothering to make up a better excuse for why. He had no reason not to come clean if he was making those types of promises and because his parents relationship before Omni-man's true intentions were revealed was healthy.
>i should tell my loved ones i'm a super hero so they don't have plausible deniability if villains hunt them
moron take
I mean Mark’s Mom is just fine so it’s clearly not difficult
He doesn’t even wear a mask
Yeah even the show itself says that isn’t an issue here
yeah and any villain who knows who omniman is knows would be fricking dead if they fricking tried.
>the show
and that's why it sucks. omniman goes in to another dimension for months, leaving mark by himself and oh by the way mark does end up with a villain who hurts a loved one
no, she didn't.
and she could have literally solved the problem if she just told him she knew who he was. instead she decided to be a b***h and gaslighted him
She knew.
She held him emotionally hostage, then just shit on him when he beared his soul to her.
Frick Amber
He was lying to her
She just didn’t call him out on it
Everybody lies to each other, dipshit. Welcome to the real world.
One anon already put things perfectly.
. Mark was the jerk who kept stringing Amber along, and to make matters worse he'd even lie about it, and then continue doing things as he did.
Don’t lie to your girlfriend Anon
I will if I'm a vigilante and I don't feel like we're really on that level yet, b***h.
>Mark was the jerk who kept stringing Amber along
That's disingenuous. He tried to make a normal relationship work while being a superhero, but failed to. Your phrasing makes it seem like he was leading her on.
Plus, she's not blameless; if she "knew all along," then her b***hing him out for saving people's lives is extremely petty and inconsiderate to a degree that doesn't equivocate what's been done to her.
Mark accidentally hurt Amber; Amber went out of her way to vindictively hurt Mark rather than just ending a relationship that wasn't working out.
Head get caught bullshitting her, make this huge production about "never lying like that again baby",(knowing THAT is a lie), get caught and do it again. And his lies were so stupid and off-the-cuff an 8 yr old could see through them.
Mark lives with a Superhero who's been in a relationship and is married to his Mom. All his Dad's friends (who is he is shown to have been exposed to) have spouses/romantic interests.
But instead of taking their example, or ASKING THEM for advice, he goes off of stupid shit from Dog comics. It's like your Father and all his friends are cops, but you take all your cues on being an aspiration cop from watching Inspector Gadget. Mark is a moron who's first instinct is dishonesty.
No. It's not disingenuous. Mark was leading her on. He continuously made plans he never followed through on, nor intended to follow through. And then when he was asked why he couldn't follow through, he lied. And then, when asked if he was lying, he lied again.
Literally all Amber did was dump Mark. That's all she did. She didn't do anything vindictive like you say. All she did was break up with him. And for very good reasons. Mark couldn't balance his private life and his work life, and when he swore to her that he could, not only did he fail, but he continued lying as to why, and kept asking for second chances, three, four, five, ten times over.
>He continuously made plans he never followed through on, nor intended to follow through.
That's the definition of leading someone on. Don't bother with that moron. Anyone with a brain can see that's exactly what Mark was doing.
yeah okay so she didn't call him out on it. she still held him hostage because she knew information.
you're a fricking dumbass
found the single man/lesbian. telling the truth is a luxury you MIGHT have AFTER you've been dating someone for a long time. they hadn't
Still a lie
Exaggeration
>Saves her life
>Gives him shit for not “being there”
>Despite knowing he was there saving her life
She’s a b***h.
She had no point. You don't tell your secrete to a high schooler. You would tell her after you got married and even then that's ify.
