There is a reason we invented the number zero

no, human capital is declining faster than technology improves so AI will hit a peak before it's capable of writing good TV and lightyears before it becomes self-aware. especially when they're trying harder to lobotomize it than to improve it.

I think we’re a lot closer to self-aware AI then most people realize. The singularity will happen in our lifetime.

GPT is literally language competition model that hallucinates answers from predicting responses and finishing the sentences based on their training.
They can pretend to be "self-aware" but they aren't. AI is a moronic term for the tech we currently have.

          >They can pretend to be "self-aware" but they aren't
So GPT is like liberal art majors except with a fancier purple prose? Beats israelitewood nepobabies at least, that's for sure.

            >Beats israelitewood nepobabies at least, that's for sure.
Anything beats shit that we are currently subjected to. The problem with language models that they are too expensive for people to run locally (as of yet) and thus can be subjected to censorship and globohomosexual control just like we've seen with Chatgpt.

True, but censored GPT is broken. Somehow they need to make it moronic at unrelated stuff like math or conversations about books in order to keep it from being racist. They frick with the pattern recognition, which is basically the basis of the algorithm in the first place.

      >most normalgays believe this because a software is capable of mimicking conversation
when will someone explain it to morons that neural networks are just very fast bruteforcing a quick solution? There is no actual thinking.

        1) As long as the results are functional, it doesn't matter if is "actual thinking (????) or whatever.
        2) You don't have any room to call other people morons when you habitually struggle to capitalize your sentences.

          >take the wrong answer because you are even more of a moron than the AI you trust
          nice intelligence bro

          >2) You don't have any room to call other people morons when you habitually struggle to capitalize your sentences.
you already asserted that you are a moutbreathing moron, you didn't need to add this part

That’s what normal brains do too you idiot. For every thought that recognized the Widget needs to be used to fix the dongle, you had some brief thoughts that simply yelling at the dongle will fix it.

That's because it's racist when it works right.
The future is AI used in and edited by a human in a back room.

With how formulaic the system is, writing in major productions is already indistinguishable from AI.
With the default usage of green screen, visuals already look uncanny.

I'd say it's a gradual process and we're already experiencing it.

    >Do you genuinely believe the day will come where AI technology replaces Hollywood talent

I'm not sure what you mean by talent. Writers will be completely replaced and actors will be scanned and used as the director wishes. The only reason it doesn't happen now is because CGI doesn't look good enough. If CGI looked identical to real life then you wouldn't need to film anything and you could make a movie entirely on computers, and use any actors you want; That's what I think the future is.
I don't really care if the NPCs of Cinemaphile disagree that this is the future because you can just play games from the past and play some games now and see the major difference in graphics. One day graphics will be so good that they the same as real life and that's when you can make a movie without cameras or actors (but the characters will look like actors we know because everyone loves seeing their friends).

that they look the same as real life*
I'm sure photorealism is possible now but it just requires a supercomputer and one day it won't.

You can already trick Claude 2 into being an uncensored AI and write you all sorts of super interesting stuff better than any humanoid writer. Most writers will be replaced by this for sure.

Whatever happens to musicians, will eventually happen to EVERYBODY.

AI image tech will lead the same path that took digital music,

Musicians were the first to adapt from vinyl to the cd, to mp3, to streaming and back to vinyl again; but there is still no sustainable revenue model for musicians.

In fact, music industry was never there for the bands in the first place. Those who profited were always the record stores, the booking agencies and representatives.

Back in the day you could still discover new kinds of music genres, but now just a few artists dominate the top of the industry for several years making the same sort of music.
The music industry is in collapse: new microgenres emerge, but there are no new genres. Instead, we have retro mania.

Wrong way to say it. AI needs to get a better handle on holographic memory before it can do a great job imitating humans.
