>those cheap and unimagined clothes
into the trash
supreme taste
>Cheap and unimagined clothes
Those are literally the uniforms of the Chasseurs au Cheval, Imperial (Old) Guard, and what appear to be cuirassiers sans cuirass. It's likely supposed to be representative of the cavalry component of the Napoleonic Old Guard.
They're obviously poorly made and lazily designed with cheap materials.
There’s nothing wrong with those uniforms you idiot
CALL IN THE BELL RINGER!!!!!!!!!
>SHIEEEEET DEEZ RUZZIANS MAN THEY SEASONED THE FRICK OUT OF THESE FIELDS
>enters Moscow
>AY YO WHERE ARE DE WYT WOMEN AT? OR ANYBODY?
of all possible casting choices for Napoleon, Phoenix has to be one of the weirdest
he's too fricking old to be napoleon
Phoenix is 48 Napoleon died at 52
>The film depicts Napoleon's rise to power through the lens of his addictive and volatile relationship with Empress Joséphine.
its supposed to be about his 20s-30s
The film is supposed to include his first battle, the Siege of Toulon which happened in 1793 during the French Revolutionary Wars when Napoleon was only 24.
So the whole film is going to try to detail his entire life which is a tall order.
That's my only issue with it, especially considering he's supposed to play young Napoléon.
The miniseries had the same issue.
>here's that unusually young ambitious general I told you about
Isn't this movie going to be a Apple TV exclusive or some dumb shit? That's not a good sign.
I want a good Napoleon movie.
>2023 Napoleon movie
uh, why isn't everyone in that pic black?
yes. it will make for a welcome change from capeshit and other trash my kinoplex shows
its got the blue europe filter on it so no
No. It'll be visually beautiful, Phoenix's acting will be excellent as usual but Scott's politics are moronic and he'll likely turn it into a metaphor for le Putin bad
Scott often steers clear of politics in his films.
Not often enough. His Robin Hood is a cringe example of shitty politics getting into the way of storytelling. Likewise Kingdom of Heaven, Last Duel etc etc
What is Robin Hood's political message? Forgot almost all of that movie
I HAVE COME
TO SAY
GOODBYE
They're all going to have english accents aren't they...
So? Would you prefer American accents?
I would prefer them speak in French and for Nappy to have a Corsican accent
You mean a romance film about Napoleon and Josephine? No, why?
How about a joke, Ney?
What do you get when you lose a battle of five o'clock but win it back again AT SEVEN!?
Gonna white wash this French c**t. Thank god the French literally can't into economics or he would have won.
Ridley is an exposed hack whose recent work has flopped both critically and money-wise. Gladiator 2 is an obvious signal for desperation
Middle aged men and their fascination with Napolean will never go away.
Manlets will never admit this.
because once you've become a successful accomplished man, you look at nepoleon and realize how truly astonishing his feats were
you troonybrained twink
Men find wat fascinating. More at 11.
War, even
threadly reminder that napoleon was a 4'2 manelet and people died at 30 back then
He was 5'2" or perhaps a little taller, and people died in their 60s or 70s if they survived childhood.
Verification not required
cope manlet
If you're making fun of manlets, probably best not to bring up one that nearly took over the world.
I'm just here to add some historical accuracy. 5'2" is still short, yes. It's a few inches shorter than average for 1800. That would make Napoleon the world's most dangerous manlet.
>people died at 30 back then
Go back to the reddit school of history you pathetic homosexual.
>30
No they didn't. Kek 30 is worse than Roman life expectancies.
