Besides, he was already handling the plane tickets, why was he also responsible for the hotel reservation? What were Charlie, Alan, and Glep even responsible for? Was Pim expected to organize the whole vacation?
But we don't know if anyone DIDN'T have other roles. Someone could have been in charge of paying for the food/other amenities. Someone could have bought tickets to attractions and stuff.
First I wanna say I like Pim, but I do believe he's incompetent at pretty much everything he does, not just his job which is mostly carried through thanks to Charlie, who has a "I don't give a frick" attitude, but he gets the job done.
Also, Alan is the most responsible by far so it wasn't his fault either.
Pim has many strong points, but not being a screw-up isn't one of them. His happy-go-lucky attitude redeems him a bit, I guess.
