Do you think a more serious time squad reboot would work?

I mean, not that it's something very serious... But that it has a balance between comedy and seriousness

Maybe something similar to what DC comics did with Hanna Barbera's characters... Whether it's as an animated series or a comic

Do you think it would work?

I don't want it to be more serious. I like it just as moronic as it is already.

I don't know... I think something interesting could come out, of course if it is executed well

The robot character on the left looks familiar but I've never seen this show or the character on the right.

No, grow the frick up and watch something that actually caters to those tastes rather than demanding a comedy show be rebooted as serious.
    Fricking moron.

If anything, the show wasn't ludicrous enough

How do you know it will be something stupid, if they haven't even tried?

Because Time Squad is inherently a goofy concept, and it worked great as a comedy. Not everything NEEDS a dumb gritty reboot.

Otto's not legally a member of Time Squad, he was abducted from his own time and is being illegally housed on the satellite.

If I wrote the reboot of the time squad...

I'd get guys to recruit him (for some special reason that I can't think of right now) and get him out of the misery he was living

I could imagine he gets lost on a mission, either through being mistakenly left behind or falling out of the timestream while timetraveling. Now both groups are playing a cat mouse game of trying to find each other without fricking up the past, Otto possibly doing so for so long that he becomes jaded and resentful of the squad for leaving him behind. You could even say that he was doing the time traveling far longer or was unprotected from temporal shit so he actually becomes an adult or something

I think could work, more action oriented, Like that episode of Big guy and rusty when the Big Guy gets lost in time and the redcoats find it and win the war on independence changing the timeline.

True, I even think they could face villains similar to DBH's "Time Breakers"

Enemies who seek to alter, change or destroy certain events in history... Reasons may vary

Should have been made for adult swim with better animation, or hell, even worse animation
The problem is that the quality middled too much, and had it applied itself more in either art, story, or dialogue, then it could have stood out.

Similar to that short film they made where they "recruited" people to join the Time Squad?
