I'm usually a lurker on Cinemaphile for a select few things, but I will say as someone who watched all the Marvel movies throughout the 2000's and 2010's: I considered Endgame as the finale to the movies
it wrapped up foreshadowing and setups that had been going for 10 years, it included the vast majority of important characters and gave conclusions to their stories, and it's finale was so grandiose that I don't think another superhero movie can top it (not to say I think it's completely flawless by any means, but it really is a culmination point for every Marvel movie leading up to it)
after Endgame I just mentally checked out, I was done, I watched Loki because a girl I was dating was interested, but other than that I don't give a shit about what Marvel movies do any more, I'm out, they would have to do something REALLY unique to pull me back in now, but considering this feels the same as when I dropped superhero comics years ago, I don't think I'll be coming back

Netflix's stock is going down because they've finally hit a ceiling on their infinite growth spurt and lost tons of subs when they backed out of Russia as a response to Ukraine. The investing class doesn't like that a company that had been growing upwarda finally can't do it anymore and they're cashing out.
Yeah, I feel the same. I also liked marvel movies since the 2000s to the 10s, the movies were such an event that even my casual work colleagues were hyped for MCU movies enough to watch them on opening night...now none of them cares enough to watch it even if it were free
I believe the fun peaked at infinity war with endgame being a serviceable "end of an era" movie for the series. Everything I checked past that has been boring and aimless.
Phase 4 has had 1 good movie and half of a good show. Marvel seems content putting out middling content and that doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
People are saying the MCU is on the decline but I don't that's really true, quality-wise it's the same as it always has been (a few solid entries, most just being above average or mediocre, and one outright bad entry). I think people consider Endgame to be the peak of the franchise and thus anything that comes after that doesn't match up will be perceived as "falling off".
The real issue is that there's just too much content nowadays and all of them but Moon Knight are interconnected in some way, it's just getting tiring to keep track of everything.
I don't know what world you live in but nothing stays on top forever, decline is inevitable and you have to prepare for it

We're seeing the decline now, Dr Strange was the only MCU film to actually do "well", Black Widow, Eternals, and Shang Chi did not hit the numbers Disney wanted
To be fair to Black Widow. It was released in the middle of the pandemic with a same day digital release that depending on your situation was cheaper to rent for $30 to see at home with friends and family then going to a theatre
Shang Chi actually did pretty decently in a slate that was filled with entries of very popular franchises (Spider-Man, Godzilla, James Bond, and F&F) and it was even the second highest grossing film of 2021 if you adjusted for inflation.

Who, Iron Man? The MCU never needed him to lift the brand ever since Phase 1, when all the other superheroes films still managed to stand well in the box office their own. The name "Marvel" is what sells the brand now, not the heroes themselves except for the ones who already has established film series before like Spider-Man or X-Men.

Personally I believe that No Way Home only did as well as it had because they brought back the characters from the Raimi/Webb movies. Had they gone with the original pitch for a third MCU Spider-Man film that was Kraven's Last Hunt, it probably would have just done well as Shang-Chi.
Quite honestly, take away the nostalgia factor and NWH would still do good but nowhere near as well
Live action Disney comic movies have been nothing but cancer since their conception. I dont expect that to change any time soon.
I wouldn't mind if they dropped the whole phases thing and just did a bunch of loosely connected stories again.
The problem is that people will complain that the franchise has become "aimless" and that there is seemingly no plan which is even happening now because Marvel tried to have its cake and eat it too by simultaneously doing mostly stand-alone superhero origin movies/shows and setting up multiple overarching storylines (multiverse, thunderbolts, young avengers, skrulls) in Phase 4.
I think that the shareholders have almost reached the point we were at 3 years ago.
I have zero faith in current mcu/disney but looking at the phase5&6 list, it does feel liberating knowing that I will continue to not give a single damn about their shows for the next 3.5years
