Does anyone else watch old C-SPAN recordings?
I find these old 90s recordings so comfy to listen to. It seems like the last decade television wasn't mindless slop designed to dumb the populace down. It's a crying shame what happened to journalism.
Post some links lads
Uh, hi, am I on the air?
yes the channel The Film Archives has quite a lot of C-SPAN interviews uploaded and I enjoy watching them occasionally. is there even a modern equivalent with that level of quality?
Vice news
In all honesty you are probably better off watching university lectures if you want to learn something. There is a fantastic series on atheism throughout the ages and not in the fedora tipping way either.
you're right, and that's my point, C-SPAN with its political and literary journalistic interviews seems closer to the depth of a university lecture, while still having the digestible format of an interview.
It's a fascinating series honestly. Losing your faith back then was a world ending event.
There are some pretty good lectures on schizophrenia too. Random annecdote but...
In Kenya some tribeswoman slaughtered an animal (big nono for women) and was running around with village with it in her teeth. They barricaded her in her house and left her to starve

The Dick Cavett show started uploading interviews on their youtube the other year. You can find many full interviews, but sometimes just parts on their channel. It really is a different era. Everything is much slower, realer and often not as clean. I don't mean grimy, just as in the production is rougher. TV back then didn't have decades of practice and technology behind it. Dick as a host is also way more understated than any modern host.
>those little coughs and noises you can hear
Pure fricking soul
I cannot imagine being as brain dead as you OP
Why's that bot?
I like watching old talks from Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell from the 70s for this reason

Funny you mention it, yesterday I was watching a C-SPAN thingo analysing the 1995 Richard Nixon biopic
Cool video dude.
I agree, I find this manner of discussing and presenting the contents of a book very interesting and succinct.
Nice dubs brother thank you. I started watching these videos while wageslaving in a kitchen, music is for plebs.

I agree though he's not my least favorite person by far.
Does anyone else think Tucker's segments can be very humorous?
It is a weird perverted and live audienceless version of the typical comedy news shows a la Colbert, Daily show, etc.
You mean like the modern ones where he tells the truth and makes libcucks seethe?

Seriously, the level of sarcasm just lacks the pathetic applause breaks and wooing.

And this is the most watched news "pundit" in America.
What is going on? It used to be that tv was mindless slop designed to dumb the populace down. Not anymore. And the democratic party wants this.
What is happening?
It started as propaganda but there was a brief period in American history where technology was used to elevate the common folk not swindle them.
