He's also victimized others, so that does not excuse him.

It’s a comedy show with very loose continuity, you’re not suppose to take it seriously with “character is a villain protagonist” when it changes from episode to episode.

Besides the entire thing takes place in Stan’s personal heaven after dying helping Jesus save Francine from the Anti-Christ.

If he's a villain why is he so likeable

      He's a villain because he's a CIA agent. Sure he's likeable, but he's also a CIA agent.

Based. Which season and episode are you on? I think American Dad is still an enjoyable show like South Park, it's like those two are the only examples of longrunning shows that have maintained a level of quality.

Just watching random episodes, I will say the show arguably got better after its first few seaosns, those were pretty unfunny actually

The characters in American Dad are above morality. They're too absurd and all over the place for any kind of moral alignment to apply to them.

Stan is a bad person for working at the CIA. A lot of sitcoms star bad people but we the audience don't notice because we are seeing the show from their perspective. Like Seinfeld, most people don't realize the main characters are bad people.

i can't see it, largely due to a much bigger villain living in his attic.

What is the worst thing he's done? To me it's Father's Daze, when he basically traps his family on Father's Day by mindwiping them every day for months so he can be pampered
