Meme, Babar is a rightful prince of India and literally objectively non-memeingly does nothing wrong. If anything it promotes the concept of native rule by just and righteous monarchs.

Babar is straight up derived from the Mughal Dynasty that ruled the majority of India for centuries you fricking moron, he's based on Indian elephants and the land he rules over is clearly based off of India. Learn some fricking history before making moronic posts like this.

the mughal empire was in fact ruled for a time by a guy named Babar, but that Babar was a man, and not an elephant. Different Babar. The cartoon takes place in West Africa

            >HURRRRRR THE BOOK SAYS SO SO IT'S WHAT THE BOOK SAYS
Wow, simply epic. I love democracy.

Colonialism was unironically a good thing that uplifted millions out of poverty and deadly living conditions.

No, but it does promote incest. Babar married and had children with his cousin.

The rich and powerful are still doing that, just not in the prying eyes of the public right now

And DR still does it because it's DR it's a small place with big families you're gonna run into a cousin you only met when you were 3 and because DR women are thicc baddies you aren't gonna be able to help yourself. Incest in DR is a meme for a reason

It bugs me that the crowns and the clothes of the baby elephants look like they were drawn on Paint.

Batman does punch poor people though. It's just that he's punching people who are actually doing crimes, not just being poor and he actually tries to find ways to mitigate the problems that drive poor people to become the people he has to punch.

This complaint made more sense to me when, as an adult, I realised that young Babar didn't somehow walk from the jungle to France, he walked from the jungle to a French Colony in Africa. It's not him bringing human society to animals that's the big problem, it's that he's bringing the society of the colonizers to the animals.

Reminder that Babar is FRENCH. So it's not just a matter of colonialism, it's a matter of French colonialism. And you'll notice the French don't really seem terribly ashamed of their old empire, unlike the British. Hell, they still run a lot of things behind the scenes in Africa.

      >Their old empire
The French Empire never died. Look into Françafrique. it literallly never died anon. France still has a complete stranglehold over French-speaking West Africa.
