there are a couple laughably bad scenes sometimes that feel like you’re being trolled but other than that it’s still one of the best tv dramas ever made
The only episodic television series that deserved/earned 6 seasons.

You're correct, but I can't really bring myself to call Season 6 shit. I really enjoyed some parts of it but it is just so notably darker in tone when compared to the rest of the show that it feels off.
People forget about all the bullshit starring Carmella, A.J., Melfi, and everyone else in the show that isn't a meme. It's a third of the run time of the show and it's a total fricking drag.
Next, we have a repeating storyline where somebody shows up out of nowhere, annoys Tony for eight to twelve episodes, and then gets dealt with instantly.
Really good writing.
Then you get to watch Tony's coma dream, which marks the last time James Gandolfini could breathe through his nose until he died in a fatsplosion.
The memes are great. The show was overrated.
>some big shot mobster that is super duper important but we havent heard about once gets out of prison >becomes a problem and gets killed >repeat
wowie zowie this is kino!
I can think of Richie, Tony B., and Feech who fit that description. People act like that repeated plot line is the whole show but it really isn’t. Out of six (arguably seven) seasons, do they really take up that much time? And the time they do take up, can you seriously claim it isn’t good? Richie was the first and the best. I know people have mixed feelings on Tony B but I really like his relationship with Tony. As for Feech, I feel like he’s around for fifteen minutes.
You forgot Ralphie and probably Big Pussy. Their only move was a season-long guest star. Outside of that it was the Meadow and Carmella Go Shopping show and whatever the frick that shit was with the rapper guy who wanted his grandma's money from Hesh.
That piece of shit movie they made should be more than enough to convince you that the people writing this stuff were faking it and never quite made it.
Carmela and Meadow go shopping and that one episode with the rapper? That’s like two hours of show tops. First, Ralph was in Miami and I don’t understand how you can claim he wasn’t a great character. Pussy was there from the get go and he died in season 2. Also, great character.
Big Pussy got busted in the early 90s but turned to snitch so never did prison time. Ralphie just kind of shows up one day towards the end of a season, I don't recall them claiming he just got out of prison.
yeah it doesn't fricking matter and it never means anything

Sure back then it dragged but now, the A.J and Carmella family sequences are post 9/11 slice of life soap opera filler that I enjoy. I thought the wine stealing episode was soulful.

It pissed me off so much how Tony B. was NEVER mentioned, not once, prior to the season 5 premier. Not even in passing during say season 2 or 4. It shows that they had no idea how to write the show when Livia's actress died a few months after season 2 ended.
i mean, Tony B's who plot arc is he expects circumstances to be more or less the same as when he went into prison when they've completely changed, so it doesnt really bother me that the other side of that same coin is that they've all completely forgotten about him

No.
The only episodic television series that deserved/earned 6 seasons.
Literally the only time its been done.
Don't listen to this gay, yes, it does, it's only rivaled by Oz

If anything it's even better now
Season 6 is atrocious but the rest of it is good

Season 6 is supposed to really make you turn on the main characters so tonally it's not nearly as much fun as the rest of the show
I didn't like season 3 either
Noah and Jackie Jr. managed to drag down an entire season. It's quite remarkable.
>Season 6 is atrocious
Imagine getting filtered this hard.
>early 2000s first attempt at awkwardly shoehorning homosexuality into a show
Bad take
The Lake house episode alone is worth more than most shows out these days
OP never had the makings of a varsity athlete

i think the complaints are valid but where we differ is that it's still better than all other shows.
Bad take. The France episode is kino
>The soapoperas

OH SHIT IT'S THAT FRICKING ZIP FURIO
I got bored halfway and stopped at season 4. Should i keep going or not?
Season 1 2 and 3 were pretty good.
not really
You gonna post that in every thread?
Yes, the only shows to come close are Breaking Bad, The Wire, Fargo Season 1-2 but nothing tops it
Fargo the show is stupid garbage. Billy bob’s character was just a stupidly written Anton chigurh. The coens probably laugh at it
Yes and it especially comfy when you realize that world doesn't exist anymore.
You ever think how much of a coincidence it is that Lou Gehrig died of Lou Gehrig’s disease?
The food scenes were the best parts.
It never held up. It's a shitty mafia soap opera beloved by midwits and pseuds.
my stepdad is dead now but he used to watch the sopranos in the early 00s
Yes.
