It's like looking at everything I hate about these Spider-Man comics put into one image. It's not just the cucking but instistency that Spider-Man needs a new girlfriend, a woman in his life, just someone to be his metaphorical mommy to heal all his inner wounds. All rounded up with that smug shit eating grin by an OC donut steal who knows he's gonna steal and fuck not just MJ but Peter's daughter, his dead girlfriends, his exs and even May. A masterpiece. The Mona Lisa of Spider-Man.

You could argue superior, i would disagree vehemently that a story where every single character has to be a retard to function is good, but i could see it. But are you really trying to argue OMD, a story where the hero does a deal with the devil going against his basic principles, wideley regarded as the worst story tied to the character just so the editorial could get back their idealized era of spider-man where he's a perpetual manchild is well written? A story where no one in the marvel universe can cure a bullet wound? Nah people all over the internet do. And learn some english for fuck's sake.

The story is the definition of interesting and compelling. Peter had to make a tough decision. Anyways I'm done entertaining trolls on Cinemaphile. Spider-man will stay number 1 and you will cry about it.

A story that doesnt hold up to the most minimum of analisis isnt a good story. And peter didnt really make a tough descion organically, it was just done backwards to get rid of the marriage because quesada and company didnt like it...and they've said so as much. And if you think that "with great responsability" man would willingly work with the devil selling his marriage to save his dying aunt after she asked him to let him ,

And you do know the sale charts took a massive dive after OMD, right?

Bull fucking shit. Kraven's Last Hunt and Death of Jean DeWolff are two of the most beloved Spider-Man stories ever.
Zdarsky's Daredevil made Matt suffer, and it was a compelling story. Zeb Wells made Spider-Man suffer, and it wasn't a compelling story.

          struggling =/= suffering
struggle is a transitory state that should result in catharsis in the end.
          suffering IS the end state.
We WANT to see our heroes struggle to earn that happy ending. Needing to earn the happy ending through struggle is what makes it have worth.
What we don't want is to see our heroes suffer with no hope in sight.

No one actually likes Felicia as a character despite what they claim. She's 100% sex appeal and that's it. MJ had an actual character people liked beyond the fact that she just looked sexy. That's why it pisses people off when they do shit like this.

              Anonymous

Who are you trying to convince her? Yourself? MJ has no character. That's why every adaptation of her is so drastically different and why she keeps getting new powers, jobs and boyfriends to cuck Peter with in the comics. There is nothing writers can agree on but the fact that she likes Spider-Man. Even these Spiderverse movies don't give her any personality and they give it to everyone even Spot of all fucking characters.

Oh, fuck off. I'm simply tired of retards like OP complaining that Spider-Man fans are fragile because they don't like what Marvel's been doing to the character when other fandoms have nearly burnt themselves to the ground for less.

        >Eren never got cucked by the author's self insert after over 30 years of love-story precedence (despite the author retconning him into loving Mikasa the whole time)
        >Eren has never been brought so low as to beg for his or his friends' lives to his enemies
        >Eren has a mental breakdown (of which there is precedent of him doing so when emotionally overwhelmed) nearing the end of his life and SNKfags start raising hell at Kodansha, MAPPA, and Isayama to give them the ending they want

        >Spider-Man has been brought low enough as to do the equivalent of all three in the name of being LE RELATABLE COMMON MAN and Spider-Man fans simply just get frustrated at modern Marvel writers and move on

    >But Spider-Man is supposed to be a loser

Spider-Man absolutely should get knocked the fuck down. Why? So he could rise up better and stronger than before (not literally for all you powerlevel brainrot fags). It's all about not letting the adversity keep you down.
What Marvel currently does is just whaling on him with a sledgehammer without giving him any chance to recover because idiots mistake "struggling" for "being a loser".
I have literally no idea why I have to spell out such obvious themes that have been present in the character's history for decades but considering how many people regurgitate "Peter is supposed to be a loser" and "muh Parker luck" bullshit, it needs to be said as often as possible.

Spidey was always meant to be emblematic of the common man. And like the common man, he struggled with his financials and relationships. He was never some awkward geek or a socially inept loser. He was just a regular guy trying to make it through the bullshit that is life, while also helping people as Spider-Man.

He’s a bookworm because he’s focused on his studies, not because he’s some loser outcast. He also had responsibilities both as Spider-Man AND in helping May with the finances, as Ben was the sole provider of the family. He had no time to go to parties when there were more important things at hand.

Personally I don’t have much of an interest in most post-Ditko Spider-Man output. While I haven’t read many comics, just getting a feel for the art tells me how much more unique, creatively fertile and artistic the Ditko output is.
I like characters like Shocker and Jackal, (if I’m not mistaken only the non-creature version of Jackal was introduced during the Ditko run) Scott Johnson’s art of the character is nice, and I’m inclined to see the Raimi presentations again, but other than that all of the post-Ditko output looks like it could be summed up as “Normie-Man”. It’s no wonder Spider-Man is seemingly the most discussed superhero on platforms like Twitter.
