Don't understand why this is so highly praised.

Don't understand why this is so highly praised. Remember seeing it when I was like 10 and it felt too juvenile for me even then.
Characters are bland and tropey, premise ends up being incredibly repetitive, don't remember a single joke really landing, and the songs sucked ass

Because you just have bad taste. The jokes are memorable and funny, people still regularly quote them to this day, and the songs and fun and catchy. The show has a formula, but it uses it well and takes advantage of it to subvert audience expectations and keep things fresh despite it.

name a single funny and quotable joke from this show other than the "I'd have two nickels" one

Literally all the "A platypus? PERRY THE PLATYPUS" variants, All Doof's backstories and that's just Doof. There's also Candace slapstick, Buford and Baljeet shenanigans, etc. The show is literally most remembered for its gags and music.

        It's literally just funny

People have already pointed out the jokes to you but I'd just like to add, things don't have to be quotable to be top tier humor.

      This is true
I'm personally not actually a fan of this show, but I objectively understand that in 20 years or so it will be remembered as a classic of its era.

    >started airing in 2007 or more accurately 2008

    >spongebobs starting to really go to shit even compared the the previous post movie seasons

    >really no other cartoons on Disney or Nickelodeon besides fucking mighty bee which I don’t know anyone who had any stronger opinions on that show

    >cns left with all their bland shit notably fosters chowder and flapjack

    >most of the teletoon slop was not cared about

    >anime fandom had already gone fully online

Besides tdi there wasn’t really anything else to get excited for cartoon wise and by the time more stuff released it had had enough of a headstart that people forget how much it was on autopilot after the 2011 movie
