It was a little bit deserved. Tiana was a boring protagonist, and her friends weren't much better. The story was also bland.
Facilier carried the film and the animation and art quality were excellent, and the soundtrack was even better. A lot of effort went into everything but the actual plot.

How dare you disrespect Lottie.
I think the fact that they spent so much time as frogs hurt the film
>I think the fact that they spent so much time as frogs hurt the film
This.
Facilier made the movie a lot better. I sometimes rewatch his scenes because of how good they are. More Facilier and less frog forms would have been great.
Anything aside from the antagonist is insanely forgettable
The whole thing feels like something that shouldve been a disney side project ppl will call underrated 10 years later. Not the final flagship for 2d animation
I know this is a shitpost, but I'll respond anyway. Nothing about the ride itself was "problematic". It just had some fun animal characters singing one of the most iconic songs at disneyland. If you're talking about Song of the South though, the ride was nowhere near as problematic as Mickey Mouse, who appeared in numerous extremely racist cartoons in the 30's and 40's. You don't see them getting rid of Mickey. The new ride is boring, and doesn't add anything new since they already have the bayou theme with the Pirates ride.
There is a ton of talent they can import (not specifically just Japan, but animation sweatshops in Korea and Indonesia).
But my guess is they're going to go hard into that Spiderverse look for the next decade or so.
>And I've got frreeennns on the other siiiiiddde >HE'S GOT FREEENNNNS ONNNN THE OOOTTHHHA SIIIIIDE
Yeah this was the only character guys could grab onto. Naveen was too much of an incompetent clown and he gets FROGGED like Tiana and rendered useless. This was a stupid fricking film. Really not entertaining.
DONT YOU DARE AGAINST
OR DERiiiiiiiide
Honestly that movie was an undeserved flop.

They said the same thing about the black pianist, soul I think the name of that movie was.

looked good
sounded good
but tiana is boring and there was too much proud-family-style WOW WE WACKY BLACK shit from the crocogator and the old woman
It was deserved, the VA is based but Black person fatigue is real
Anything aside from the antagonist is insanely forgettable

nah it’s very forgettable and the animation sucks
I literally only remember Facilier
>we could have had this song here
>no wild voodoo magic ride
>just another happy fun its a small world
disney and wasted potential? no surprise
I can't wait to ride the new George Floyd adventure, glad they removed one of the most iconic rides for this.
Splash Mountain was problematic and needed to go.
It was the only reason to even go, frick yidsney.

I miss him every day, bros.
It's weird this was disney's last animated movie
They did it on purpose, they needed a reason for hand drawn animation to flop and now we have a similar experience with wish and their flop.
YOU GOT TO DIIIG A LITTLE DEEPER
TO FIND OUT WHO YA AH
DIIIG A LITTLE DEEPER
IT REALLY AINT THAT FAH

>everyone loves this style
>disney refuses to do it again
3d animation was a mistake
do they even have the workforce capable of doing 2D animation?
I'm sure they can get a team together but they won't. Maybe in their dying breath they'll do 1 more before flat lining.

nah humans can’t draw anymore

I thought all the voodoo shit was satanic
Yes it was. It was also the cause of all the problems in the movie too.
>I thought all the voodoo shit was satanic
It was, and the movie presents voodoo as a bad thing.
ARE YA REAAAAAADY

Ma Belle Evangeline was the only good song with FFTOS and is not even about the main couple
