you lacked the prerequisite knowledge and or appreciation for the mythological and shamanic themes bursting from every minute of the movie

and then you assumed wrongly that you were entitled to the same format of film you've been fed like oats to cattle all your life and gave up when the format turned out to be a free form set of complicated ideas and visual art with a somewhat coherent protagonist or goal that is more of an exploration of live-action blending techniques and expressions of deliberate human motion in the gas mask character, which acts as a human element for the audience to experience the film through.

glad to see it flopped for normies and virgins on Cinemaphile though, we need more actual cult classics and hidden gems to gatekeep down the road when the normies "discover" this collectively all over social media or YT and write 4 hour video essays on it.

I think Mad God would have been better if the first guy succeeded in his mission and kept half the stuff that the second guy saw and apply it to the first guy. Considering the two characters are identical iirc, you could probably somewhat easily edit it that way to be about 45 minutes to an hour long.

This is the main reason why it didn't work, it was like an aspiring artist mashing together all of his drawings together and telling you, ''here, make some sense of all of this''.
Instead, a competent editor should have reworked the whole thing as a compilation of shortfilms/anthologies, add some adr lines, reshoots, cgi and give them a payoff to each of them, starting with the first one, which was the best and more linear one, the one with masketta guy descending into that spider nest, ending it by blowing it up with the bomb

The intro title crawl got me so pumped up, then the baby mouth dictator scene happened and it pissed me off, then the elderly israelite live action scene happened and i skipped it. I liked the alchemist guy doing his lil magic. Anything with baby sounds was extremely annoying to watch, and anything live action was really cheap looking especially when the stop motion was decent.
Mad God sucks, Phil Tippit is a HACK.
His skillset is highly overblown. I hate cgi for cgi-sake but i cant pretend this stop motion is groundbreaking when Aardman have more fluidity and believability with their stop motion chickens.

It reminded me of the thief and the cobbler in how it showed that you can have one autistic animator toiling for decades to create amazingly good animation, but without a good story the movie will still suck.

You literally could have rearranged the scenes from this movie into any order and it would have been exactly the same. I will say though that the scene with the mountain of suitcase bombs was pure kino.
