Do you get so see a guild navigator in DUNC 2? That is probably the only reason i'd go to see it. the first was so bland and medicore. Took out all of the wonder and weirdness of the book. While lynch's version is very flawed. It still at least had remnants of that weirdness.

      No, they're just mentioned.

Completely omitted, so the whole plot - and especially the ending - makes absolutely no sense.
      >Emperor and the Harkonnens just kinda forgot to ever check out the Southern hemisphere with satellites, because reasons
      >Paul threatens the Houses (not the Guild, because that would make sense) that he'll nuke whatever's left of the spice if they don't bend over.
      >They refuse to bend over.
      >Ok let's attack them.

DUNC was a thorough failure the minute Liet Kynes was played by some black woman.

it was literally the best scene in the lynch dune. This navigator scene alone encapsulates the feeling of the books better than the entirety of DUNC.

DUNC 1 was hard to sleep through with all the loud audio cues and annoying fight scenes

DUNC 2 was easy to sleep through because it wasn’t as loud and annoying

OK, so a long time ago, three super hot lesbians decided to rent a room at an inn. The innkeeper told them that it would cost 30 dollars for a room at the inn. Being lesbians, they agreed to split the bill evenly. Shortly after the innkeeper gave them the key to the room, he realized he had made a terrible mistake: he had forgotten that the inn had changed its rate from 30 dollars to 25 dollars. Unable to leave the desk himself, the innkeeper gave the 5 dollars to his stable boy and told him to bring it to the three girls. The stable boy, realizing that 5 dollars doesn't split evenly among three women, pocketed 2 dollars and gave the remaining 3 dollars back to the girls. However, this causes a serious mathematical problem. You see, each girl ended up paying 9 dollars for the room, for a total of 27 dollars. The stable boy pocketed the remaining 2 dollars. However, 27 and 2 only adds up to 29, and the girls originally paid 30 dollars. So then, what happened to the missing dollar?

why would you add 27 and the 2?
      30 dollars
      25 is with the landlord
      3 back to the women
      2 to the boy

      >Boy has 5
      >Boy gives 3
      >Boy has 2
      >That's 5
      >Plus original 25
      >amount paid per lesbian isn't important information in determining the total amount spent since the whole is already known and you're working backwards
      >reason the "math" gets fuzzy is due to the splitting error of division done with Amount Paid/Per Lesbian
      >splitting error is common false-logic that occurs when mapping mathematics to semantics; the "missing 1 dollar" is actually a rounding error in the $X.YZ dollars AND change the lesbian spends
      >without the worry of making sure 3 lesbians each spent the same amount of money the original equation includes the rounding

Oy vey, who cares about a measly single dollar? Don't be a homophobe, just let the lesbians sleep in your 16th century inn for nine dollars, forget about the missing eighty cents. What do you need an extra fifty cents for anyway? You can't get anything for twenty cents, it isn't worth arguing about!

Are you moronic? Each woman started with $10 and ended with $1. They thought they paid $27 collectively to the room and got $3 back (adding up to 30), but really, they paid $25 collectively for the room, got $3 back, and a wienersucker kid stole $0.66 from each of them.

The pleb morons who paid to watch dunc 1 in theaters liked it, then the opinion was corrected once torrents came out. The same thing will happen this time around.

Dune 2 is better because stuff actually happens and the imax moments are well done
Lynch’s movie is still far superior though as a representation of the weirdness of dune

Things actually happen in 2. Not a lot, mind you, but there's stuff.
Dunc 1 was a fricking borefest. 2 hours of deadpan monologuing by literal whos followed by some explosions at night, and then the movie's over and nothing makes any sense.
