I hate these fricking nature documentaries. They anthropomorphize the animals, give them human intentions, and make out as if there's some grand scheme to their actions/behaviour. Worst is they present this disneyfied view of nature where it's this happy place and everything is in harmony until the evil humans came along and fricked it up. as if wild animals live these joyous lives. imagine all the brutal killings and suffering they leave out, the daily death struggle for survival all animals go through, constantly in fear, pain, seeking food water shelter warmth etc. killing each other, raping each other, battling rivals, dying of simple cuts or bone breaks, starving to death, parasites, bacterial infections etc

and that's only the mammals and birds really. the type of animals which give some type of shit about their offspring. note how they always show adult animals, those that have made it. the natural world is a just gigantic survivorship bias, only the strong and lucky are the ones you see alive.

the vast majority of actual life (fish, insects etc) literally just spambot out thousands of offspring in the offchance out of all the youngings that get eaten or killed or die or suffer that one luckboxes out into adulthood to do the same meaningless shit.

I would bet for every adult fish you see there's 1000 little baby fish that died some miserable fricking death before it. and for what? just so that adult homosexual can spambot more short life suffering fishies in the odd chance another will make it to do the same thing. the natural world is fricking hell.

the worst part is that the leftie crazies always want to bring them back. Why on earth would I want to literally be in danger of being eaten alive by a pack of wolves or a bear while I go for a jog in the forest or use my bicycle somewhere. There is zero benefit to me. It's literally 100% about some irrational worship of nature. Yes we should preserve them but no, we dont need them running around in every forest. Their only argument is: "but they are scared of you anyway, don't worry lol". Bruh they are scared because we hunted them to near extinction and it literally got transcribed into their DNA. That will reverse again if you give them time. There are even morons who defend sharks! *sharks*. Imagine defending a microbrain giant flesh eating animal that attacks you in an environment where you have no hope of fighting back.

Conservation efforts are not rooted in "cuteness", it's about the proper functioning of the ecosystem that is disrupted by human action. If the top predators are all killed by humans because they eat your dog or whatever, this has a chain reaction where, for example, prey animals breed out of control.

Like, I'm sorry you fricking five year olds, but the state of nature is more important than you personally not being scared when you go outside.

People give humanity for shit for being capable of cruelty but there isn't a single animal that is capable of compassion and the lack of compassion in nature is pretty fricking close to cruelty in its consequences. Predators give zero shit about how their prey feels and the utlitarian way for them to hunt involves a great deal of suffering. Not to mention animals that straight up kill for fun, practice, to get rid of competing offsping and other reasons.

Many of Attenborough's documentaries do show the brutal side of nature. There's always some hunt footage where a calf gets picked off by a wolf or something. But nature IS in harmony, that's the point. Harmony is not a moral assessment. Humans disrupt that harmony because we are such a force to be reckoned with.

I will admit many of his more recent docs focus way to much on trying to guilt trip humans for our own existence, which is equally moronic, but plenty of his documentaries don't mention humans at all. It's just observation of nature.

What isn't lit up hard in nature documentaries to the point where morons such as yourself aren't even aware of is the SYMBIOSIS of nature. Like how Mao ordered all the sparrows to be culled so they wouldn't eat the crops, but then they were overrun by locusts and insects because of that cull. Nature can be brutal but we live in an interdependant ecosytem and its only when the great mass extinction accelerates that humans will learn what we had and can't get back.

There's a lot we don't know, and we'll never know. The depletion of the Amazon and Borneo rainforests is tragic. There could be unidentified cancer curing plants gone up in smoke yesterday.

            >I don know. God works in mysterious ways
            I acknowledge your honesty.

predators and prey are naturally made to balance each other out. if prey animals were to stop being preyed upon their population would quickly boom to unsustainable levels and end up wiping them out due to lack of resources.

This is what happens to animal populations all the time. This is a natural dynamic, during periods of reproduction, the populations of some animals increase thousands of times. Although I still don't know how hunger is worse than being eaten alive. What if we fight hunger among people this way?

              >Although I still don't know how hunger is worse than being eaten alive.
it's not about the individual death it's about killing a few of the population (who reproduce enough to compensate for predation) or killing off the entire population due to overpopulation.

Europe wiped out like 90% of it's nature including all of our megafauna and turned an almost 100% forested continent into a quilt of farmland and cities and yet we are fine. Where is our ecological collapse? Truth is, we didn't need the nature in the first place. If we manage our manufactured ecosystem with wisdom and care, it can be independent of nature.

          you're quite right.

I would bet for every adult fish you see there's 1000 little baby fish that died some miserable fricking death before it. and for what? just so that adult homosexual can spambot more short life suffering fishies in the odd chance another will make it to do the same thing. the natural world is fricking hell.

don't drink your coffee to preserve this??? frick off

The thing is, caring about nature is fine. That statement is fine. The bullshit comes in because the WEF does not give a shit about nature. All these things are being done to limit our freedom and prosperity and give them more control, and guilting people with the "green" agenda is just a great way to mask this.

In any case, Hitler loved nature and knew that European national socialism was the best way for humans and nature to prosper alike.

he's right. Go look at Europe on google earth and then look at the Congo. Africa and Brazil are where Europe was 10,000 years ago.

North America is a modern innovation with lots of forest land per capita, they cut down all they needed.

What is leftist conservation of nature. That is nature should be what the leftists want it to see - a bloodbath in the struggle for survival. If somewhere human actions have reduced the level of suffering and violence in nature, then they must be rolled back. This is another proof that liberals are the servants of Satan.

THIS. The leftists in my area banned elk hunting, instead they brought wolves into the forests to tear the elk apart.

Why do you want to kill things?

I just want to kill as little as possible and as painlessly as possible. You probably won’t understand, because you don’t take into account the consequences of your actions beyond what you see with your eyes, as well as your inaction.

if you kill everything once, nothing ever has to hurt again! Just gas the whole area, yourself included.

The fact is, if you want more animals to be killed and as brutally as possible, then you take out a credit card and go to the grocery store. Otherwise, you take a rifle and go into the forest.

why? You can't think of any better moral standard? Here, I'll give you one: life matters. Animals deserve to be alive and they deserve to be different from one another, wolves and bears included.

From my completely selfish and utterly correct solipsistic view of the universe the animals are me so why would I want them to suffer?

obviously because suffering is important. You need to suffer in order to live a good life as well.

Of course, fewer predators - more living beings. By removing predators, you leave nutrients and energy for other animals.

so you have a wolf and an elk that's 2. 2 species. They have complex interactions because they've spent millions of years together. Kill the wolf, you have 1 which is less than 2. Elks multiply but the environment actually became less complex. Also the elk multiplication could damage other species or lead to trouble for the elk themselves because they usually have predators. Human hunters are supposed to replace the wolves, but they can only do a fraction of what more life was doing.
