That's always been my take. Sure Ed and Double D are socially awkward because of their interests, but they do well enough together, and Double D can be moderately sociable when he's not nerding out like when he talked to Kevin about stuff he's actually interested in (mechanics or his bike), or like with Jimmy and flowers. Ed is stupid but he means well, and he can be ringed in by Sarah or Double D or even Rolf. All of their misfortunes have been because of Eddy's greed and forcing the Eds into doing scams. If he actually made decent products or services, which Double D absolutely could do, they'd make money without endangering the other kids. Hell, just apologizing would help him out.
That's probably one of Eddy better aspects is how he defends Ed, and going by Ed's family seems to be the only one.

Eddy helps Ed but he'll certainly exploit him whenever it benefits him, whether its for his strength or taking a hit meant for himself. But yeah, seemingly it's one of Eddy's only redeeming qualities, he does care for his friends
That’s why they were able to finally integrate with the rest of the Cul-De-Sac at the end of the Big Picture Show. Because Eddy finally ditched his brother’s influence
Lol, remember when the Eds fully demolished Johnny's house? Or when they flooded the entire neighborhood and beyond with levels higher than the houses? How were the eds or their families not ostracized for that
He did snap when Eddy gave him a wedgie in front of the entire culdesac and plotted an entire maniacal revenge plot involving rolf, the kankers, and jujubes.
Towards the end of the show Marie starts doing this thing of invading Double D personal space, but not explicitly sexually. Like she lost social boundaries over time.
If Ed Edd n Eddy continue the Kankers got boted of molesting the Ed's but still hung around them. That they would accidentally start sexually teasing the Eds without realizing it.
Jimmy started getting an evil side after Eddy rubbed off on him. The Cul-De-Sac kids are decent people overall though Naz is the most upstanding person besides Doubel D.
If you pulled them off, would he die?
It would be extremely painful.
You're a little guy.
for him
don't interrupt me
That actually happened at least once
The eds broke his teeth by selling him a bowling pin disguised as an ice cream
?t=437
Scenes like this and we still get posters complaining that the Eds were hated by the other kids for no reason.
Still feels like it goes back to Eddy
Ed does whatever Eddy tells him, Double D the voice of reason but comes too little too late

Sarah treats Ed like shit

How is it that Jimmy and the Eds were on the occasional good terms even after that?

He's up to no good
I found it a bit suspicious his voice actor was absent from the making-of video from the Mis-ed-ventures.
Here you got OP, a 40 min vid essay about the "Power Levels" in Ed, Edd, n' Eddy.
I love how his VA was the only guy who avoided being on the making of video. He probably hates this role and excludes it from his resume
Curiouser and curioser
He was just a kiddo at the time.
I like it. Maybe if Marie could develop to be nicer but still a tough girl.

Which of the characters besides Double D can be considered good people? Was Jimmy a good person?
may kanker is nice, guess its in her genes
