>He was played by a white guy and whites playing non-whites is unacceptable now.
So the biggest issue is:
1.) Minorities were being kept out of job opportunities for a variety of reasons, so letting them play characters of their own race gives them the chance to move ahead.
2.) Any portrayal is going to be a caricature of an ethnic group, no matter how well intentioned you make it, so casting an actor that ethnicity will dampen the blow.
I like Kahn. I think they humanized his character very well and made him more than a one-note antagonist. However, I'm not Laotian or even Asian, so there might be parts of his portrayal that escape my notice. It's a complicated thing; Aziz Ansari talks about his feelings for Fisher Steven's portrayal of an Indian man in Short Circuit.
>2.) Any portrayal is going to be a caricature of an ethnic group, no matter how well intentioned you make it, so casting an actor that ethnicity will dampen the blow.
White people caricature themselves all the time. Most white people don't give a frick when non-white person voices a white character.

Do you seriously think white people are the only ones who acknowledge or laugh at stereotypes? It's not an obligation. It's a fact of life. Censoring or shaming it won't make it go away.
The unhappy people can simply avoid the content that upsets them. They're not obligated to enjoy it, but they also don't have the right to censor. If it pisses them off so much, then they can make their own content. Simple as.

>I like Kahn. I think they humanized his character very well and made him more than a one-note antagonist.
I really enjoyed the episode when he went hillbilly. Khan felt that he worked hard and got no respect so he says “frick it” and sinks low. Then he learns that he should “Do it for her” and work hard for his daughter and family. This isn’t even exclusive to Laotians or Asians. It could be felt with anyone who works hard and feels this way.
Samurai Jack final season was good if only for the first 3 episodes, but it did prove you can bring a show back and still keep the charm of the original series. At worst season 5 just had questionable story direction.
The problem is that the reboots are being written by the kids who didn't watch the show 20 years ago and who spent their time on their dad's money smoking crack in college and think they know better.
It's specifcially because they wanted to make their own shit cartoon about a trans kid beating up racist dondald trumo but the suits told them that was gay and moronic, so they proceed to frick up established safe IPs. Ironically this will prevent them from ever getting the clout they need to make their own cartoon, since no one will trust them after this. But we live in a weird world where the only truly successful millennials are the ones who should be janitors at burger king, not writing for a major beloved cartoon because their dad got them a job.
Because the mindset is that the fans of the original thing are so into the original thing that they'll spend their time and money on it anyway so who cares what those losers think about anything? With the writers, it's also a case of them being too talentless to actually come up with and sell original ideas, much easier to get yourself hired onto a reboot of an old property and change it into the thing you want it to be like a cultural skinwalker.
He portrays an ethnic minority as a total unrepentant butthole and people think only white people can be that. Ironically Khan's debut episode addressed exactly that. >What kind of country is this where I can only hate a man if he's white?
A significant amount of leftists are bigoted as frick, but they're too pussy to actually be openly racist so they go after "acceptable" targets, which includes whites and asians.
I was gonna write "chinese people or white women" but I'm just kinda tired of weird korean people acting like anime is 'their thing' or other shit that makes no sense since asian americans seem to glomp onto anything 'asian'. But yeah woke white people are a second suspect in fricking up things I like.
>deculturized
How do you deculture someone? Unless it’s like native americans being forced to speak English when they don’t want to. If you move to another country you keep some of your own values but also integrate.
Americans already know their country is a laughing stock.
What they mistakenly think is that it's a laughing stock because of the other Americans who don't agree with them. When actually the world is laughing at all Americans.
>When actually the world is laughing at all Americans.
But we don't care about the rest of the world because somehow you're here on an american website trying to tell americans how much you're upset at us instead of doing literally anything else.
And populated by a majority English-speaking, American userbase, which was my point you fricking 80 IQ mongoloid. >come to a website populated by americans >"n-no I'm here because the distant owner is a non-american, not because I have small dick syndrome like all foreigners"
DYRBI?
King Of The Hill's depiction of Asians is racist
There aren't many non white characters in King of the Hill to begin with but there are a few non white characters that show up for more than one or two episodes.
John Redcorn is shown to have many flaws, but he is overall a character that is fairly relatable, human and relatively accurate to Native American beliefs and actions. The couple of black characters in the show seem to be fairly well done. Enrique is seen by the white employees as just another employee and doesn't embody negative stereotypes about Hispanics.
And then we get to the Asians...
Kahn, Connie and Minh Souhanousinphone are Laotians that move into a majority white neighborhood and Minh and Khan for a majority of the show call their neighbors dumb rednecks on a regular basis. Khan and Minh are constantly scheming on how to advance their social status by gaining access to snooty country clubs, promotions and having their daughter get all kinds of academic accolades and to date boys with high social standing against her wishes. The way they talk is pretty stereotypical, their skin color is stereotypically drawn and are overall pretty hard to get along with. They also try to please visiting Buddhist monks when they are about as Buddhist as a Wookie is a walking carpet.
Ted Wassanasong shows some obvious hypocrisy in the show when he bans trans fat in Allen but eats it illegally because he has the "self-discipline" to eat it responsibly. He also builds a speculation house on shaky building standards to where it damages Bill's house and almost injures several others. All with the "I'm better than you" attitude while being an Ivy League regular in a town where half the town is lucky to graduate from community college.
In new koth, luanne is not a "hot dumb" girl. Now she's super smart phd and has a flat chest, oh and lesbian for a trans(a girl trying to become man)
Welcome to 2023.
But seriously bobby seemed kjnda gay. And connie had like no personality but was too hot for him.
I think making bobby gay would be alright?
Lets remember the good times when a show could be "insulting" or whatever and not all about lesbians, trans, race and shit.
Also problem with khan is he didn't get enough focus, was like made annoying/a jerk, he could of been just a friend.
Not sure how much his wife cares for him.
But at least his wife doesn't treat him like dale and his wife...
Anyways in new koth, kahn is main charachter and owns the propane buissness, everyone loves him.
And show is about how great he is, even if most his his neighbors are white...
White people bad...2023
Sigh.
By its very definition, clickbait is monetized trolling.
Therefore, anyone and everyone who posts it must be reported as soon as possible and as much as possible for breaking Global Rules 3 and 11.
See, I do agree with you to a point, but at the same time what good does ignoring shit like this do? Refusing to acknowledge a problem doesn't make the problem go away, if anything it makes it worse.
Unless your solution amounts to "I don't give a frick if woke clickbait exists, I want to ignore it so don't fricking show it to me"?
Mods don't exist to enforce the rules anymore. The mods exist to selectively ignore and enforce the rules of the site in order to facilitate their goal of actively destroying and ruining every with even a moderate amount of activity.
>the show's Kahn problem
What fricking Kahn problem? The fact that he is an immigrant with a strong accent, even though he is a well rounded character? The fact that he's presented as "whitewashed", even though there are several episodes that point out how difficult things still are for him as an Asian in America AND how he worries that he's increasingly disconnecting himself from his home culture? The fact that he is a POC that is an butthole, even though the show never treats his douchebag moments as being inherent to his Asian heritage and are instead the result of his abrasive personality? What goddamn fricking problem do these jackals have with Kahn that hasn't already been addressed in the show itself?
>I don't like it and I'm a Californoid journalist so I'm going to piss and whine and mewl until such a time as you change it to suit my sensibilities so I can feel a piss-warmth of petty power for 15 seconds when people on Twitter pull apart someone elses hard work on my behalf.
That about covers it.
After reading the actual article, the guy doesn't want to have Kahn written out since they haven't announced who was going to voice him, and he wants him played by somebody asian.
>he wants him played by somebody asian
Why? Do they not understand what fricking acting is? Are all dog characters going to have to voiced by actual dogs soon?

israeli comedy is the apex of mockery through subversion. Mel Brooks, a WWII veteran who fought nazis, got hate mail from rabbis for puting Hitler on screen. Until the Producers, no one really touched the holocaust or Hitler because it was painful - then came Brooks, into the burn ward passing out cigars. His entire goal was to mock Hitler at every turn, because that's how israeli humor wins.
A black man playing a white racist is to say, "here's you're not burning the cross just right. Hand me the torch. See? Now you've got a nice ever char on the upright as well as the cross beam. I'm very scared now. Terrified. Have a nice day."
Basically, the only people who shouldn't do voice acting of any kind are white VAs.
Anonymous
And that's stupid. Non-white VAs usually end up sounding white anyway, and in the case of Phil LeMar voicing Samurai Jack, they will also do mock accents when the character requires it. All this drama over white VAs is ridiculous.

That's why gandi isn't in clone high becasue having poc in your show is in itself racist. This shit is moronic people no making shows should shut the frick up about progressive acceptance and get their shit together.
They changed Cleveland's voice on Family Guy to a black guy who can't do the voice correctly. Even my 72 year old mother commented it to me in conversation when she was browsing channels one day. Because you CANNOT have a white guy voice a black guy. You can have a black guy do a white guy or East Asian guy or SEA guy or West Asian guy or South Asian guy or First Nation guy or Abo guy or Maori guy... but not the other way round.
He'll end up as a white sounding Asian guy in the end anyway, since having an accent is considered offensive these days. Thus, it defeat the purpose of recasting Kahn in the first place and just ruin the character.
Then you might as fricking well write him out. Voicing a character like Kahn goes beyond "haha funny accent :)", you have to be able to convey the full gamut of emotions and comedic response times that are consistent to the character, as well as keeping the voice itself fairly consistent since this is a reboot of an established show and NOT doing so for any reason other than the original voice actor being dead is completely and utterly disrespectful to both the voice actor and the audience. Christ, do they want to pick up any random fricking Asian person off the street and put them in a recording booth, regardless of their actual ability to act?
You know, this perfectly highlights the problem with voice acting - braindead morons like the guy who wrote this stupid article think all voice acting is is just going into a booth and talking in a mild funny voice for an hour or two. They don't know or fricking care about the nuances of voice acting, of making sure the emotion is conveyed accurately or that the delivery is paced precisely with the rest of the dialogue, all they seem to see is a bunch of entitled white people making stupid voices and getting paid lots of money to do so. Frick, it wouldn't surprise me if they think that professional VAs have the same skillset as their idiot cousin Dennis who can say "Kermit the Frog here" in a way that kind of sounds like Kermit.
>Christ, do they want to pick up any random fricking Asian person off the street and put them in a recording booth, regardless of their actual ability to act?
These are the same people who act like "Asian" is an umbrella term and a Chinese can voice a Japanese and such as if they're not different cultures despite their claims of wanting appropriate cultural representation. Voice acting it shouldn't even really matter but, you know, stupidity.
So VA segregation is still a current thing? The only reason why big mouth, family guy, central park, etc did that was because Simpsons led the charge to immediately bend the knee to woke gays.
I wonder if the new VA's that were hired simply based on race feel like literal diversity hires.
I always like to think about Cree Summers talking about voice acting, is that it allows you to be anything. She can be a white girl, a dog, ect. O think there's something genuinely beautiful that voice acting dows allow you to be something your not, it's also a job that judges you solely on your voice.
So no. I don't think it's racist a white guy to play a black guy, or a black guy to play a white guy or any race, age, or gender. That is the hill I will die on.
TBF it was also part of a general climate of panic in 2020, when studios felt they had to "do something" in the wake of the Floyd protests and what they settled on was stuff like changing the voice actors of PoC characters or censoring that Golden Girls episode where the girls have mudpacks on that make them look like they're in blackface.
At the best of times, Hollywood is addicted to pointless signaling that shows they care about a problem (which they do not). And this was the height of the lockdown era when all these people were only meeting on Zoom, this was definitely not the best of times.
There are a lot of semi-arbitrary rules in show business about who can get cast as what. (E.g. the unofficial rule against casting white people as black people has been around a lot longer than similar rules about Asian characters, which are much more recent.) We just saw the birth of a new rule in real time.

If a Hollywood director in 1961 had suggested putting a well-known white actor in blackface and have them play a black guy, he'd have been almost as roasted as he would be today. He was able to get away with casting Mickey Rooney as a Japanese stereotype, but eventually that too would become taboo.
Basically the "rules" in Hollywood about who can play which parts and who can't are shifting, often based on which lobbying groups the studios are afraid of. But it does seem to trend away from white people being able to play certain parts, just at different speeds.
There's a story from the 1960s where a studio executive is talking about casting for a movie about Custer (which didn't get made) and they have Toshiro Mifune to play Sitting Bull, which is apparently OK because at least he's not white, but the executive vetoes it when the director suggests casting another Japanese actor as Crazy Horse, because then the studio would face protests over casting two of the greatest Indian heroes with non-Indians. And so it goes...
Not jus attention he was trying to force his way into being a writer for the simpsons. The whole thing is basically "its racist apus voiced by a white man and written by white men all of Apu should be written by me and ill make hi non racist."
The issue is white VAs voicing white characters and characters of other races while the other way around is still not as numerous, but that was immediately lost and boiled down to just "People should only voice their own race!"
Yes, but keep in mind that blacks are still about 13% of the US population. There would not be an equivalent amount of black VA's to non-black ones.
Here is a dilemma.
What if the production crew is small? Think about South park. Matt and Trey voiced nearly all the characters, even Token originally.
So do you even make a black character in the first place if you have no black VA? And if you don't, you may get backlash for the series not being diverse enough.
And of course, wokeness is simply an American issue. Japs have created black characters in Anime, yet, I dont believe most are voiced by blacks.
outside of apu, how many va have been forced to give up characters? there are some that have volunteered, but i cant think of others that were forced out. the only people that give a shit about this are those on the extreme ends of this. its like when they got rid of aunt jemima and uncle ben. nobody asked for it, nothing changed with the product. but online people b***hed for weeks

That is not even slightly the fault of the showrunners, of the existing VAs, or fricking anyone else. The fact that there are more white VAs than POC VAs is a result of the country being majority white, it doesn't mean black, Asian or Latino people can't be voice actors.
I mean frick, are these people going to throw a b***h fit about anime being voiced by primarily Asian VAs in Japan?
Kahn's a great character and actually a pretty good representation of being an Asian American
if they need to replace his voice actor so be it but they shouldn't act like he's a bad representation
Am I wrong or is it always American immigrants that complain about this shit? Real Indians didn't complain about Apu, just like real Mexicans didn't complain about Speedy Gonzales.
> Hank Hill and his family are reduced to side characters in his own show >instead of a show about a middle class suburban white family it's a show about a family of loud, obnoxious, self-absorbed narcissists who've been FORCED to live next door to some racis cracka ass crackas who ain't got no sauce, no soul, and none of dat flava naw mean? >once again we will have to learn a veeeeery important lesson about how white people are all stupid or evil and need to just die already
Forget the clickbait article, but it does seem likely that if they don't recast they'll just have Kahn be conveniently offscreen or only shown in crowd shots, the way they used to do with Luanne whenever they didn't know if Brittany Murphy would show up for work.
I'm sure Mike Judge won't be happy about it but I'm also sure Disney won't let Toby Huss be Kahn if they won't even let Harry Shearer be Dr. Hibbert, who isn't even an ethnic stereotype.
The late '90s and '00s when KotH had its original run were sort of a low point for political correctness in mainstream American entertainment. It ebbs and flows.
I feel bad for Toby Huss, he had two important characters on the show and one of them is dead (Cotton) and one of them they probably won't let him do (Kahn). Who's left? Joe Jack, honey.
>I feel bad for Toby Huss, he had two important characters on the show and one of them is dead (Cotton) and one of them they probably won't let him do (Kahn).
They might have Cotton appear in flashbacks (he appeared in flashbacks in the first season before he showed up in the flesh), but there's no way to bring him back, because even if they made his death non-canon -- which is unlikely enough -- he's tied to World War II and can't be alive now unless they change his background.
The only real problem with Kahn and Minh, and it's a minor one to me, is that neither of them speak Laotian in-show. In fact, Lauren Tom is a native-born Illinoisan. She uses mostly gibberish for Minh and Amy Wong whenever they're supposed to be speaking "Asian", and I'm convinced she's not fluent in any Chinese dialect. It's the same situation with BD Wong, he's not fluent and his pronunciation on Mr Robot was not good.
I don't care about any of this other than the fact that the people who push for racially-sensitive casting will say they're giving you authenticity and pat themselves on the back for it. But it's complete bullshit.
There is no problem but they'll delete him out of the show to not be racist but actually look even more racist for deleting you poc character. Lmfao fricking leftist moron

But we live in a weird world where the only truly successful millennials are the ones who should be janitors at burger king, not writing for a major beloved cartoon because their dad got them a job.
What are some examples? Doesn't have to just be Cinemaphile stuff.
If a show has been off the air for five or more years then it has no business being revived, no matter how good it was.
Secret Squirrel called.
...what was the problem with Kahn?
He portrays an ethnic minority as a total unrepentant butthole and people think only white people can be that. Ironically Khan's debut episode addressed exactly that.
>What kind of country is this where I can only hate a man if he's white?
Indeed, koth was libertarian preachness right from S1.
Whether he was Chinese or Japanese
A significant amount of leftists are bigoted as frick, but they're too pussy to actually be openly racist so they go after "acceptable" targets, which includes whites and asians.
Nothing just tell the people who think it's a problem to kys
Same situation as Apu, an butthole attempting to make a big deal about nothing.
He has an accent so some chinese people are upset because asian-americans are the most deculturized losers in the world.
>so some chinese people are upset
You mean white people right?
I was gonna write "chinese people or white women" but I'm just kinda tired of weird korean people acting like anime is 'their thing' or other shit that makes no sense since asian americans seem to glomp onto anything 'asian'. But yeah woke white people are a second suspect in fricking up things I like.
Article was written by a white man. White people and their savior complex.
Hi Rabbi, watcha doin?
>deculturized
How do you deculture someone? Unless it’s like native americans being forced to speak English when they don’t want to. If you move to another country you keep some of your own values but also integrate.
Multiculturalism means everybody must live separately in enclaves now.
segregation is back on the menu and whites are not allowed to VA non white characters
the absolute state of americans
Americans already know their country is a laughing stock.
What they mistakenly think is that it's a laughing stock because of the other Americans who don't agree with them. When actually the world is laughing at all Americans.
>When actually the world is laughing at all Americans.
But we don't care about the rest of the world because somehow you're here on an american website trying to tell americans how much you're upset at us instead of doing literally anything else.
an american website owned by hiroshimoot nagasaki
And populated by a majority English-speaking, American userbase, which was my point you fricking 80 IQ mongoloid.
>come to a website populated by americans
>"n-no I'm here because the distant owner is a non-american, not because I have small dick syndrome like all foreigners"
DYRBI?
He’s a hard working American who worked hard to get into the life he has. He even has a big SUV.
Sigh.
Khan forbade her for having a personality.
And in new koth we will learn kahn is all men, trying to forbide all women from freedom.
Men suck -2023.
And that's the problem, with kahn...
2023...
He never got Cotton that mai tai
Here is solution to the problem. Just have them move. There, hope you're happy, wokesters.
Reportedly, they've already got Lauren Tom back to voice Minh and Connie.
By its very definition, clickbait is monetized trolling.
Therefore, anyone and everyone who posts it must be reported as soon as possible and as much as possible for breaking Global Rules 3 and 11.
Why are you so upset that people are sick of this woke trash?
See, I do agree with you to a point, but at the same time what good does ignoring shit like this do? Refusing to acknowledge a problem doesn't make the problem go away, if anything it makes it worse.
Unless your solution amounts to "I don't give a frick if woke clickbait exists, I want to ignore it so don't fricking show it to me"?
Mods don't exist to enforce the rules anymore. The mods exist to selectively ignore and enforce the rules of the site in order to facilitate their goal of actively destroying and ruining every with even a moderate amount of activity.
>Kahn Problem
There is nothing wrong with this cultured Laotian.
This episode bothered me. Being c**t punted hurts like a motherfricker.
How would you know?
prolly one of the few femanons on here.
>few
Trannies are not femanons.
breasts or GTFO
If you want to see some manboobs, sure.
There are no women on this board, only dudes with boobs.
Well, your mom screams in agony whenever I batter her cervix with my wiener. I assume being kicked in the vulva would hurt just as bad.
They call me the cervix destroyer
That was the exactly the burn you were hoping it was. You basically just admitted to being a rapist or very bad at sex.
You tell me
Bobby didn't have the technique for that. He was only trained for testicular destruction.
She was bluffin, that's the joke. After Bobby leaves defeated she falls down in pain.
shut up b***h you don't know pain until you've had balls
Had it happen to me in elementary school once, it was awful and I couldn't sit for a few hours
Post ankles or gtfo
You transitioned that early?
Does it make you vomit?
But that's the thing, she IS bluffing.
I thought Khan was great character and the last episode did him a great service.
>the show's Kahn problem
I wonder if it was the asian parents wanting a high achieving child stereotype, which also funny enough was addressed in a few episodes.
>implying the moron that wrote that headline has watched enough to know any of this
I just want the Connie nudity I was promised 22 years ago.
I'm more of a Tid Pao kind of guy
still my fav edit
Yeah I got kind of autistic with it.
I TURN MYSELF INTO A T-SHIRT MORTY!
I'M T-SHIRT RICK!
its been too long since i seen this episode, do you ever see her from behind? An edit of this would be great.
Here's another angle
That's practically begging for an edit of pic related. breasts instead of hand, obviously.
Somebody did it, unfortunately I didn't save it
Best I could do
If you want to rake a whack at it
Kek. Much appreciated, anon.
Mr. Kahn, I'll have a Mai Tai!
What’s the problem?
After 50 years its time to cancel Frank Welker for dog face.
Progs want everyone played by people of the same ethnicity as the character, unless it's a non-white person playing a white person.
Or non-white people playing other non-white people, i.e. Phil LeMar voicing Asian and Latino characters.
Super mansion had a racist captain America hero played by Keagan- Michael Key who's black.
Key is a cuck and a homosexual whose only claim to fame is le name mispronouncing teacher skit
t. Aaron
Very israeli.
What's wrong with being israeli?
israeli comedy is the apex of mockery through subversion.
Terrified. Have a nice day."
>co resident israelite
Basically, the only people who shouldn't do voice acting of any kind are white VAs.
And that's stupid. Non-white VAs usually end up sounding white anyway, and in the case of Phil LeMar voicing Samurai Jack, they will also do mock accents when the character requires it. All this drama over white VAs is ridiculous.
They hate white people. It's as simple as that
>Clancy brown as light skin luthor.
Nobody cares when mr Krabs is lex luthor but dear God delete any ethnic off our show because libwhites are offended at fiction.
You can have a black guy do a white guy or East Asian guy or SEA guy or West Asian guy or South Asian guy or First Nation guy or Abo guy or Maori guy... but not the other way round.
>who can't do the voice correctly.
Most people don't even notice the change.
NTA but
>liar liar LIAR
"Keep mah name outta yo mouth" - Phil LaMarr who has played every goddamn ethnicity on the planet
>Hire asian man to do funny accent.
You could hire the actor for Anne's dad better yet hire them both. I find the idea of people masterbating to Matt's mom voice hilarious
Any white characters she voiced would almost certainly get their voices changed if they came back due to screeching prog's, it's not fair.
No, they wouldn't
It's all thanks to that one dickhole who made a fuss about Apu's voice for attention.
Why didn't we flush him?
(E.g. the unofficial rule against casting white people as black people has been around a lot longer than similar rules about Asian characters, which are much more recent.) We just saw the birth of a new rule in real time.
>protests
*riots
got rid of the dnd episode of community too, nice to see mental health isn't as important as pretend racism
fricking morons
>E.g. the unofficial rule against casting white people as black people has been around a lot longer than similar rules about Asian characters,
What are you talking about
If a Hollywood director in 1961 had suggested putting a well-known white actor in blackface and have them play a black guy, he'd have been almost as roasted as he would be today.
And so it goes...
>for attention.
Not jus attention he was trying to force his way into being a writer for the simpsons. The whole thing is basically "its racist apus voiced by a white man and written by white men all of Apu should be written by me and ill make hi non racist."
>Token
It's Tolkien, racist.
outside of apu, how many va have been forced to give up characters? there are some that have volunteered, but i cant think of others that were forced out. the only people that give a shit about this are those on the extreme ends of this. its like when they got rid of aunt jemima and uncle ben. nobody asked for it, nothing changed with the product. but online people b***hed for weeks
Mike Henry as Cleveland Brown comes to mind.
he was forced out of the role?
I don't know, but I know that his role was switched when outrage culture started reaching its peak. It was too much precise timing to be a coincidence.
>I don't know, but I know that his role was switched when outrage culture started reaching its peak.
Wasn't so much "outrage culture" as it was Floyd getting himself killed, leading to BLM demanding changes to policing and somehow whites voicing blacks/POC was what wound up being thrown into the mix and changed overall.
And thus black people won. They didn't get the reforms and accountability that they wanted but they got white voice actors blacklisted from certain roles. Truly a mostly peaceful movement where nothing was burn, looted, and murdered.
>BLM
That's what I said, outrage culture. The only difference is that BLM is actually somewhat rational.
Great bait
no they fricking aren't
>volunteered
yes, they "volunteered"
>while the other way around is still not as numerous
That is not even slightly the fault of the showrunners, of the existing VAs, or fricking anyone else. The fact that there are more white VAs than POC VAs is a result of the country being majority white, it doesn't mean black, Asian or Latino people can't be voice actors.
I mean frick, are these people going to throw a b***h fit about anime being voiced by primarily Asian VAs in Japan?
>while the other way around is still not as numerous
Why would it be when white people (or israelites) are still the majority of actors and voice actors? Because… America is still majority white?
I don’t understand why this is a problem
Because they're b***hy entitled morons and instead of throwing them in a gulag for it people give them awards.
Only Asian man can voice Asian guy,vas told to you by some offended white guy.
>white people should voice all characters
>needs to
nothing will happen, there's no reason to think Mike Judge would pull an Apu
Disney will force him, dude.
Kahn's a great character and actually a pretty good representation of being an Asian American
if they need to replace his voice actor so be it but they shouldn't act like he's a bad representation
>it's an illegally run mushroom farm episode
Am I wrong or is it always American immigrants that complain about this shit? Real Indians didn't complain about Apu, just like real Mexicans didn't complain about Speedy Gonzales.
Why are minorities so afraid to be recognized as different than whites but also celebrate not being white?
>Preview shows no announcement of Kahn
>Showrunner is a guy who demands constant Black only reboots
Hope you're ready for Kahn and Minh to be replaced with new black neighbours who eat up most of the airtime.
I'm so tired of kneeguards
knickers is the better choice if you want to go that way
> Hank Hill and his family are reduced to side characters in his own show
>instead of a show about a middle class suburban white family it's a show about a family of loud, obnoxious, self-absorbed narcissists who've been FORCED to live next door to some racis cracka ass crackas who ain't got no sauce, no soul, and none of dat flava naw mean?
>once again we will have to learn a veeeeery important lesson about how white people are all stupid or evil and need to just die already
is a guy who demands constant Black only reboots
source?
is a guy who demands constant Black only reboots
Do you have an source on that gay
They might have Cotton appear in flashbacks (he appeared in flashbacks in the first season before he showed up in the flesh), but there's no way to bring him back, because even if they made his death non-canon -- which is unlikely enough -- he's tied to World War II and can't be alive now unless they change his background.
they can have him ranting about killing fiddy men in "the war" without specifically mentioning which one.
But it's complete bullshit.
if they replace kahn voice actor or replace him in anyway I am not watching the reboot, I am sick of this moronic shit
I don't have Hulu, so I won't.
Do they really need to bring back King of the Hill? It ended on a perfect note, it feels sacrilege to revive it.
There is no problem but they'll delete him out of the show to not be racist but actually look even more racist for deleting you poc character. Lmfao fricking leftist moron
So was he chinese or japanese?
Only watched King of the Hill because it happened to be on before Simpsons when I was young and had an interest in Simpsons. Never really cared about King of the Hill that much if I am being honest.
So they’re gonna pay an American Asian guy to do a funny Asian accent that’s not his? And this is the solution to racism?
I hope white guilt dies off someday. If any anons are self-hating whites, then the least you could do is have a nice day. I don't even mean that in a hateful or malicious way. From your white guilt perspective, you'd be doing all those non-white people a favor. It's not like you value your own existence anyway.
is he chinese or japanese
I never asked for it. I'm long tired of the rebooting.
>Enjoy your reboot
>hardworking, level headed, consistently funny character gets casted off for the crime of being a little stereotyped in a comedy cartoon
Many such cases.
