This series turned probably one of the goofiest villains in the series into a genuinely really interesting character. I would give myself actual lung cancer just to replicate that voice.
Today, anon learns what an outsourced adaptation is. >But-
I know what you meant, your wording is just so utter dogshit that I felt like replying to it at face value.
I'm not a furry, but I think these are pretty cool. I'm also, unfortunately, invested in Wolf's character. How come we don't see "proper" studios greenlighting stuff with this level of quality? Too expensive?
This kind of thing is a niche within a niche, it's an animated series about a B tier Nintendo franchise that is barely relevant today, and to make matters worse it's in the style of an old sci-fi TV show, the target audience for this is people nearing or over 30 with a tangible interest in Star Fox. Compare this to that circus show, which do you think is making more money for Youtube?
But that's just this series, if you mean in general, it's all about profits. There's a reason 2D animated movies are rare, it's because animators unionized, so making 3D became cheaper (note, 3D animation isn't easier, it's just not protected). The goal of any business is to make money, meaning they'll do almost everything they can to cut costs and maximize profit, and making high quality 2D animation that only appeals to a very specific audience is the antithesis of what companies are trying to do, meaning the only way you're going to get stuff like a Fox in Space is from dedicated super autists working out of their trailer.
Remember to support indie artists, capitalism is the devil and corpos are it's servants.
One nitpick is that 3d didnt become popular just because of unions making 2d expensive, it was largely due to overexposure with every nicktoon getting their own "movie". 3D was still novel in the early 2000s and with the technology rapidly evolving, every movie looked better than the last.
I think in the future things will balance out between 2D and 3D, since 3D has stagnated technology wise and has become somewhat stale.
All that being said, 100% support indie artists making the most interesting stuff, Hollywood is gay.
I don’t care about Star Fox, and I hate fur shit, but this guy has a unique sense of style. I particularly like the voice direction and dialogue writing.
Love this guy, but will never forget how in 2018 he was streaming on Twitch and was allowing his discord people to voice with him and this one dude who sounded like a teenager came on and they were talking about comics and the dude started going on about how all comics are dumb and have bad plots. Completely dominating the conversation, which was against the rules. Like he only read wikipedia articles about them. I know he brought up Spider-Man Reign at one point as if anyone cares about that. I wanted to go in the discord voice channel and just say "oh my god, dude. We get it. You're like 13-16 years old and think you know everything." It shouldn't bother me, but man did that annoy me
I was listening to one of his streams after Ep 2 released, and he went on this long tangent about... something. Something positive about keeping up with art and artistry and stuff. I'm kicking myself for forgetting what he said, specifically, but it was really motivating and alleviated some of my anxiety about my own artistic journey.
How exactly is this guy running around making not even a parody, but a spinoff series of a Nintendo IP, with prominent depictions of sex and violence - and more importantly, running a monetised patreon off it - without Nintendo C&Ding him to death?
His patreon is for giving "art classes", (which he does during the streams if you ask) the cartoon is just a product of it so technically speaking he is not getting money for it. Also he changed the name. I guess that's enough for Nintendo to not go nuclear on him
Yeah, so long as your patreon doesn't actually promise infringing material, there's no case. Same reason pokemon-porn artists don't get nuked. The patreon isn't actually *for* their pokemon products, it's usually stuff like streams and commission raffles.
>Be gay, black >Laughing at wienersucker >Hurt at Black person
Can't wait until the day I'm able to shoot myself up with Animalman TF Juice and leave this shit behind.
I'm every American, it's all in me. Anything you want done baby, I can do it patriotically. Woah oh oh.
It was a weird reflex, I'm used to it in text online. The audacity to make my actual ears actually hear it with an actual white accent and hard-r was probably the issue.
Honestly if Nintendo makes an official Starfox movie, i'm probably gonna be dissapointed, because this series is what an animated adaptation should be for me
I'd rather see an animated series before a full movie. Give the setting and characters time to develop then make the movie a climatic, major season finale event.
>ignoring the Wii u game and the tower defense ad on
That bad huh? Lots of Wii u ports found success on the nintendo sneed, wish Nintendo tried again with Fox
Zero was essentially a retread of 64 (which itself was a retread of the first game), but unlike 64 the characters and story had far fewer memorable moments or developed the setting beyond its arcade rail-shooter origins. Its was nostalgia pandering with horrible hardware gimmicks.
I found a few other fanart pieces that have Star Fox in that style and works surprisingly well. You can practically hear the 60's era laugh track that would go along some of them.
I feel like that's part of the low-budget 80's crime/adventure drama series he's going for. Use style to compensate for lack of substance in a few areas like space battles.
Man they look so frickable.
Shit tastes
>we get less than 30 seconds of cartoon every 6 months.
>It's always absolutely worth it.
How does he do it
It's Fredryk Phox.
Mommy says he doesn't need a neck to be sexy daddy.
I feel like this guy likes Wolf too much.
His voice is just perfect for Wolf, if Starfox wasn't a dead franchise i would want Nintendo to hire him to play Wolf
… Doesn’t he literally have a fursuit of wolf?
No? He built a puppet of Wolf cause he's like a hobbyist puppeteer
his drawing streams have a literal fursona as an avatar. he's not tricking anyone.
It's not like he hides it either, if you watch the streams he is open about liking anthros but finds fur suits to not be his thing
There was an old video of him at Midwest Furfest where he was drunk and shitting on yankees (or at least furry yankees)
I think he grew up in Tennessee so it checks out
That frickin wheeze
This series turned probably one of the goofiest villains in the series into a genuinely really interesting character. I would give myself actual lung cancer just to replicate that voice.
>that Gamabunta cosplay
Kino
>Falco takes offense at the "fricking parrot" part
Heh.
Looks like the whole gang did.
what a piece of fricking shit that did not deserve to be as funny as it was son of a b***h
All that talent and time wasted for an ip they don't even own. It'd be funny if it weren't so pathetic
Today, anon learns what an outsourced adaptation is.

goddammit why is it so funny
I'm not a furry, but I think these are pretty cool. I'm also, unfortunately, invested in Wolf's character. How come we don't see "proper" studios greenlighting stuff with this level of quality? Too expensive?
Not sanitized enough nor is it pre-packaged for mass consumption.
>I'm not a furry, but...
Calm your breasts, woman

>Remember to support indie artists, capitalism is the devil and corpos are it's servants.
...at least until they do stuff with corpos themselves lol
Yes. Exactly. You will worship the cow when it is in the field alone, and you will worship the sacred cow when it purchased by a company.
>Remember to support indie artists, capitalism is the devil and corpos are it's servants.
Read this in Huey's voice.

How did Nickelodeon kill of 2D?
I don’t care about Star Fox, and I hate fur shit, but this guy has a unique sense of style. I particularly like the voice direction and dialogue writing.
I love the effort put into this show, but I'm scared that the creator will keel over due to the slow speed
What's so funny? He looks like he's cosplaying Big Boss for Halloween.
That makes Fox being dressed a Solid Snake and losing his shit funnier

Loopholes
Elaborate

I recognize those lines.

Are you a yank or something? You get over that pretty quick if you live in the South.

Seeing as the Krystal VA does whatever you pay her to do, i wonder when will she end up in a fox in space
I believe she's going to get a cameo in ep 3, as far as i know
She's gonna be in episode 3
Don’t care. Shitty fan fiction with cringe voice acting.
>t. Nintendo executive
What is Falco dressed as?
Winslow from Phantom of Paradise
I don't get why Fox is so angry. Just say you're off to a Halloween party.
in my eyes he is basically the voice of wolf, nobody else compares really.

man, you guys are so desperate for content you take literal shit as long it has the brand slapped on it, lmao
You sound joyless.
ARE YOU GOING wienerSUCKING???
I don't give a frick about Starfox, I just dig the retro neo-noir scifi vibes
Star Fox is a furry's wet dream. Wish the franchise didn't fricking die after Command.
>ignoring the Wii u game and the tower defense ad on
That bad huh? Lots of Wii u ports found success on the nintendo sneed, wish Nintendo tried again with Fox
I do wish we had a port of Zero which fixes the control issues, too.
Zero was essentially a retread of 64 (which itself was a retread of the first game), but unlike 64 the characters and story had far fewer memorable moments or developed the setting beyond its arcade rail-shooter origins. Its was nostalgia pandering with horrible hardware gimmicks.
Starfox if they hanna barbera
I found a few other fanart pieces that have Star Fox in that style and works surprisingly well. You can practically hear the 60's era laugh track that would go along some of them.
Honestly the release of Starfox 2 after being canned for so long has been more beneficial for the series than anything Zero can made
Like I said, dead franchise. And you're forgetting the 3DS port of 64 where they redid all the lines to be inferior to the original.
can I just say the scene right before james gets captured is amazing and I have never heard such natural dialog
I like how the line from the real final boss in SF64 got used in Andross speech. Bretty good stuff
I think about it every so often
That was some raw tension
Gold
As with all this guys shit, anything wrong with the scripting of animation is made up for for how relatable the acting is.
If done dumb shit and had my friends laugh at me like this and vice versa. Exactly like this
Can't wait for EP3 and more Starship animations to come
Kinda crazy how the show pretty much has 0 space battles
I feel like that's part of the low-budget 80's crime/adventure drama series he's going for. Use style to compensate for lack of substance in a few areas like space battles.
God i love Panther, while everybody talks about Krystal i wish he could be in ep3
I think he already confirmed that Panther is going to be in episode 3
