To be fair, calling them "ghosts" seems more easier that calling them as they are, which is ectoplasmic duplicates. Actual ghosts cannot reproduce and yet we have Box Lunch in Season 2.

You're as clueless as a brick if you think that's a revelation. It's no surprise that even the people who worked on "Fairly OddParents" recognize how much of a trainwreck it became. I mean, it takes a special kind of talent to take something so beloved and run it straight into the ground. Maybe if you had half a brain, you'd realize that your opinion is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. But hey, keep living in your fantasy world where your opinions matter.

Calling someone "shit" is not critique. I literally helped explain how to make a wildly popular series like Fairly OddParents. That's worth up to billions of dollars with advanced enough critique and instruction. You have just been saying the same damn things for literally over 3 years out of some kind of moronic revenge fantasy from the industry that I don't keep up with their products (so they can corrupt the creativity of my mind, and all the media consumption makes me easy to manipulate). Animation community is typically extremely tight lipped about any criticism of another production or there own as informal blacklisting is very real in the industry. Also why they front a unified face whenever some big outrage happen like the roar calarts dustup.

After the first few seasons, Butch was just "executive producer" who only showed up once in a blue moon for anything substantial. You can compare all the writing, directing, and storyboarding credits. He showed up again in the first revival season, but dipped out again after that.

...How? How do you not keep up with a show you directed for at least, three or four seasons, at least every once in a while and find this out right now? Kind of convinced he did this for clout, since a more in depth answer on his feelings on the show's downfall would feel more appropiate (then again, it could get him blacklisted so there's that).

      >How do you not keep up with a show you directed for at least, three or four seasons, at least every once in a while and find this out right now?
      Because
      - it's a job, you don't want it to consume your free time as well. You can't watch it as a general audience member because you know too much about the production process
      - If you have emotional attachment, watching it after you're gone you'll just see a whole bunch of decisions you never would have let happen if you were there

I'm sure there's people out there who do keep track of projects they worked on in the past, but I think it's completely understandable when people don't

That's not shocking, or news. Literally one season before it actually happened, they made fun of the idea that Timmy had to change to fit what execs thought was what the audience wanted to see, to the point of outright removing established characters for OCs no one cared about, and even predicted a forced catchphase Timmy was forced to say all the time.

To be fair, I think John Fountain left the show on bad terms with Butch. He's the only one that I know of that publicly speaks against him.
A while back, when the FOP reboot and something else new was announced (by another creator from that era) he posted something along the lines of "The people that hate me still keep getting shows".

That said, the show actually improved somewhat after he left, in seasons 3-5.... its season 6 where it took a nose dive.

      Anonymous

John wanted a high position in the production of Danny Phantom, Butch denied him and he left FOP after that.

Nowadays, John strikes me as the type of guy who only seeks attention with popular opinions.

"Oh, I criticize Butch too, you like that, right? Poof? Good lord no, that would never have happened with me"

        Anonymous

From what John said, Disney offered him, right as Danny Phantom started serious development, the chance to work on American Dragon Jake Long and I think the implication was that he was offered a position that would offer him heavy amounts of creative control. When Butch wanted him to stay, John said he would stay but only if he was put in charge of either DP or FOP, neither offer which was accepted. Thus Fountain left, was put in the positon of fixing American Dragon only to then be booted off when higher ups hated his work on the show.

Well, we'll never know what FOP would have been like under John's control. What really affected Fairly was the hiatus after Season 5 and the departure of Steve Marmel.
