Science prophets interpret my scriptures. Dont do your own research. Get your fauci ouchie.
still having anti vax be part of your identity in 2022 is real cringe bro, everyone has moved on
>everyone has moved on
That's not a good thing, people should still be pissed
keep stewing over it for another 5 years on /misc/ then, but no one cares anymore and you’re not a special snowflake. You’re just a guy who didn’t get a vaccine. That’s it. No one even checks for vax proof here anymore we’ve all moved on
I don't know man based on probabilities alone I think House would be provax
Yeah this would be House's attitude regarding covid
there's a difference between several decade old vaccines and a shit ton of different bullshit that's being tested en masse on the world population
It's never herpes
Me especially
I wish this show would have had actual stakes. Even shit like house going to jail gets undone after a couple episodes.
not really, all the expiriences harm his mental state more and more and influence his final descision in the end of the show
The closest thing was in S3 with Tritter. He was in deep shit but in the end Cuddie somehow saved him, although I still dont understand how that worked.
She basically openly lied and would at least lose her job, if nothing more. And house would still go to prison.
That resolution seemed kind of weak, especially because House was acting like a piece of shit during that arc.
If everybody lies then you are stating that you are in fact lying meaning your statement is false and thus you have created a paradox.
Everybody poops but not every time they fart moron
But if everybody lies how do we know he's telling the truth when he says that? He could be in fact lying when he states that everyone lies. If his statement is true then everybody does lie and we cannot be 100% certain that he is telling the truth when he states that everyone lies.
We don't, and in absolutely no way were we led to expect to.
This would have been simpler if it was supposed to mean every patient lies but then House often lies about his diagnoses just to cause some reaction whethert from patient or coworkers so it's meant to be taken literally without additional logical discourse.
Yes that’s his point, there’s a clear nihilistic view on part of house. Everybody lies is the equivalent of trust no one.
There is many ways to tackle this problem, but you as an individual will have to chose.
Do you not trust anyone all the time? Do you trust everyone all the time? Do you take it in a case by case basis? Do you test people to see if you can trust them, but what does that say about you? Do you trust people blindly until they frick up?
That’s up to you bro. Life is good and difficult. Very grey.
Obligatory.
>pilot episode title: everybody lies
>final episode title: everybody dies
kino
this is scary! i just started rewatching house again and now im seeing threads about the show for the first time since i moved over from reddit!
any shows like house? i watched The Knick and it was based. doesnt have to be about doctors necessarily.
Bones
I actually did catch a few of those and liked it, but forgot all about it. Thanks
The Good Doctor, allegedly
Suits it’s a good show. Billions too
>snivelling bugman makes misanthropic/nihilistic/postmodernist blanket statement
>morons eat it up and adopt the character's snide, miserable attitude
>they fail to realise that the statements are actually a representation of the character's beliefs, personality and mores, and are not meant to be taken at face value
>in the case of this particular postmodernist bugman character, his arrogance, drug abuse and pompous self importance has led him to adopting a cynical mentality and hating humans because of the patients he is exposed to
>ultimately, he was lying to himself, as shown in later episodes, and was a miserable man that nobody should seek to emulate or take his "wisdom" seriously
many such cases etc.
Utimately boils down to the director's desperate desire to receive validation that is both unearned and unasked for.
Many such cases.
Excellent bait
How is that bait? They outright BTFO his beliefs several times in the show. Sure he looks cool but he's a miserable butthole.
>tfw was really into house back in the day
>would quote him all the time
>legit started to limp to mimic my icon
It's ok anon, might've been cringe back then but now it's just funny.
I would even mimic some of his mannerisms. Still, I love this show and even gave it a re-watch a few years ago. Lots of fond memories.
Good character, pretty entertaining to watch. Full of these little details.
I still mimic the way he opens and closes his hand every time he's thinking out loud
Why was everyone orange in the first episode?
It really does look fricking weird. I watched the show about a year ago for the first time since it aired and the entire first episode was thinking "man I don't remember the show looking like this" but it goes away the very next episode.
I remember watching one episode where the patient had like his tongue get really large and one of his balls exploded. I think it was a dream from the episode where he got shot but it really freaked me out and made me paranoid mine would just blow up sometime so I can’t watch that episode anymore. Actually the whole show makes me paranoid
was chase right to kiss that 12 year old girl?
First redditor?
