It's a movie that you need a deep understanding of existentialism to understand anon, might I suggest some books to read before watching it again?

Not as good as RRR but a pretty good genre bending 2022 film about orientals, as far as those go.

my sister kept telling me this movie was good but couldn't explain one single thing correctly and it seemed like the writers watched rick and morty once or something

the movie was good when it wasn't trying so fucking hard to be hilarious, which was 90% of the movie

I liked it but the hotdog finger dimension and the dildo gag were egregious. I felt as if this film would be best viewed by 1st gen immigrant parents but the various important messages would simply be lost in the sea of unfunny gags.

Movie sucks. Romanticizes dysfunctional families and bitchy Karen tiger mom women. It's like The Matrix except they take the blue pill. If someone truly enjoys this movie and agrees with its normie reddit disempowering themes it is evidence they are NPC.

so if i go watch this movie, and i disagree with the movie's message was it a waste of time?

My wife's 10-year old black son couldn't watch this, it triggers his inner instinct to beat up elderly asian women whenever the actress appears on screen. I wish China didn't exist.

Everything made sense when I saw those fuckers Russo bros at the end credits. They can't even keep their Marvel shit out of ostensible art house studios.

Biggest problem was tone whiplash. Felt jarring going from hearing some girl talk about suicide and then 10 seconds later we see a racoon marionette man and dick fingers.
Movie would have been way, way better if they kicked out the clowns half way through and focused on main lady and Short Round more. I liked it best when it was aping off Wong Kar wai. The scenes where they're rich movie celebrities were kino

The most detestable habit in all modern cinema is the "homage." I don't want to see another goddamn "homage" in anybody's movie.

I despise fags and think all westoids should be killed. That said, this is the best movie this year. It'll be a shame if Michelle Yeoh loses to mommy blanchett, much as I loved everything about Tar. I think ke guy qwan is at the very least gonna sweep best supporting actor, which is good considering he's the soul of the film.

Better superhero orgin story than 90% of capeshit and did multiverse stuff better than Dr. Strange 2, which was in theaters at the same time. It's a supers film that isn't an adaptation or a part of Marvel/DC and it does it better than 90% of the films shit out by either of them.
