It will be shit, you can tell. I've never read the books but I know thrawn is meant to be like space Erwin Rommel. But again these writers are useless husks whose sole life experience is being a consumer.
it's like the Sherlock problem, they can't write an intelligent character because intelligence to them is just a magic black box, so they just write the character as magic.
All they can do with thrawn is tell you that he's formidable. They will probably write some magic for him to pull off, like him and a bunch of troops/ships appearing at an impossible time and place and the characters will remark "wow what a tactical genius". But there will be no demonstration of tactical competence
thrawn in the books was "i looked at the enemy commander's people's art, and thus knew they were going to do X" that was his whole gimmick.

Thrawn did do the "you are X, you can't handle the implications of Y" but he had other things that made him dangerous. He found the Emperor's hidden stash of cool shit which included cloaking generators. He used them in a bunch of different ways

He's not that well written in the books its just calculating, stoic, distant mary sues are attractive to those with no taste and because he was an antagonist he got away with the mary sue part.
