    >played Fallout Las Vegas to see why people love it so much
    >the enemies are sinking into the ground
    >whole thing is full of bugs
    >fighting is really boring
    >game crashed after like 1 hours, so I just uninstalled it to never go back
I kind of understand why people like the series so much because there is an interest world in it, but I can't understand why people love it so much because I can't imagine going crazy over a book where the pages and words keep falling over and you need to pick it up from the ground.

The older games were great. As soon as Bethesda got their hands on the IP and made new games 3D it introduced a lot of janky programming and physics errors. If you don't mind that they have a great setting and atmosphere

the older games were buggy too
they're fine if you get a gog version or something but if you had the original cd, you needed to install unofficial fan patches to fix a lot of issues

      Its easily fixable nowadays.

The game requires several mods to be playable and many more for the combat to not feel like shit. But it's doable and worth it.

        sounds stupid

people rave about new vegas because it is a good rpg
your complaints are things that are less of a priority in rpg's and more of a priority for midwit action gamers, and they fact that this distinction eludes is proves my point

Bethesda who bought the franchise after Fallout 2 and created newer Fallout games kinda always create some buggy mess of a game so newer Fallouts mostly attracted Bethesda fans. Fallout 1/2 are different and have better atmosphere but they are too old and isometric.

Fallout 1 and 2 are also horrendous buggy messes, despite being much simpler.

It's not even close to the buggy mess of Bethesda games. BI is notorious for a having a shit code instead of a proper game

I'm with you on not understanding the appeal. when I did a further dive apparently a lot of the fans actually enjoy fixing the game themselves and spending dozens and dozens of hours patching the game to get it into a playable state, then promptly uninstall all of it after less than 10 minutes of actual play.

      You played it wrong chud.
You have to download this script extender first, then engine mod then you have to download bugfixes mod, 4gb cacheing mod and also anti crash mod, those are marked as essential mod and then you have to playtest the game for several minutes before you can actually playthrough the game, fallout new vegas the transbian experience

The average gamer is a mouth breathing mongoloid who sees value in wasting their life away in pursuits of a few "bing-bing wahoos" and points going up on their little TV screen. Their grubby little hands skating around on their dusty, cheeto-dust infested controllers, mimicking a marionette, vying desperately for an accretion of objectives and goals, fashioned by the digital israelite, while their real life accomplishments lay bare, tucked away in an abandoned corner of their mind.
They are disastrously pitiful creatures, who feel as though their simulated worlds carry even the slightest breath of meaning whatsoever.
In the meantime, life goes on, and these corpulent, bloated, miserable excuses of "human beings" slave their lives away, wasting space and oxygen. A void of nothingness could replace them and it would be a net benefit for everything around them.

    >here is your car. It's the best car ever
    >thank-..., wait a minute, where are the wheels?
    >sir, you need to install the wheels. They're free, but you need to do it yourself
    >hold on, where is the engine?
    >the engine died on the way here. We're working on it, but you can only drive your car for like 2 or 3 hours before the engine dies again. Don't worry, sir, some Poles and Russians are working really hard to fix it for you for free

We, members of the trans community, know how it is to not be perfect and to not work right out of the box. We need our hormones and preparations to be our authentic selves just like a work of art like Fallout needs mods and some tuning.
Don't let these fascists trick you, you're perfect just like this game.

I’ve literally never touched a fallout game and I probably never will. Hypothetically though, If I were to start the series anywhere…where would I start? I have no problem playing older games as I have had a controller in my hand since I was like 4 years old. Older screenshots of the series seem to have a balders gate shadowrun flavor to them, but then they started going fps? Is the series worth playing at all or should I just stick to my select fare of games?
