I was trying to think of books that haven't been adapted in animation yet. I don't know if the character designs would be what people want, but I think an Amelia Bedelia movie written by Wes Anderson could be interesting.
No problem! I think The Bremen Town Musicians needs more adaptations period. There's lots of room for interpretation and appeal, like this Soviet adaptation from the 70s.
I'd be down for both of these films if there weren't already some great animated adaptations of both. Where the Wild Things Are would also be pretty good pick, though I feel like it would be near-identical to the 2009 movie.
You got your answer if you scrolled a bit before continuing your meltdown. Go outside, touch grass, smoke some of that grass if you like. Calm down and stop seething.
Should I cope too? I'm not sure you're rounding up your rhetorical masterstroke to the standards your vocal "adult" interests suggest. Among other things they also suggest I mean, see
Then I’ll bite. I’d prefer he not make children’s films at all. They’re not lesser or beneath him but I feel others do it more deftly and his talents are better suited for film going adults. bit if he insists, as this market research thread would tell me he is, I’d prefer an original story to an adaptation. I’d also very much prefer he do BD inspired animation like the sequence from the French Dispatch as opposed to the shitty side scroll puppeteering of this and isle of dog.
Fantastic Mr Fox is primarily about Clooney's midlife crisis and had to desperately lean on Owen Wilson explaining funny sportsball game to market it to kids since the child characters were whiny monotone teenage hipsters they couldn't relate to, which Isle of Dogs ended up repeating with the only human speaking English being a white girl having to teach the Japanese that dumping dogs on a garbage island is bad actually.
Is this for kids books? I forgot all about most of the ones I read as a kid so not sure I could mention a picture book. To still be semi on topic though, a comic that I think would work for him would be Clowes’s Ice Haven. Has a vibe of his earlier live action movies like Royal tenenbaums. I’d also want maybe a Moebius adaptation or maybe The arrival by Shaun tan, but those might be too fantastical. Idk
Terry Pratchett's The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents, maybe
>The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents
Woah, that would be awesome.
I dont read books
That's not something to brag about
You mean George's Marvelous Medicine?

This is also a really great idea.
Thanks 🙂

The God Emperor of dune.
The Incredible Journey, only if they are anthropomorphic.
And if the cat is female.
Animal Farm

Phantom Tollbooth
I don’t want him to make any more of this shit. This and isle of dog were enough, I prefer he make films for adults.
Idiot.
>ask question
>get answer
>meltdown
May I ask why?
You may ask a dictionary what a meltdown actually is lol

Seethe more homosexual
Okay? But what book would you like to see as a adaption?
First explain your overreaction
Easy. It wasn't me.

That makes sense, he does have a lot of good talent that would probably be better suited for adults.
But neither of these movies are for kids, they're too slow paced and pretentious.
They don’t swear.

Adding more to the topic tho, for an animated adaptation, I do think he could do this Kevin Henkes book.
I'd have him remake all big Roald Dahl movoes. It'd be a fucking treat
Great Glass Elevator.
Though if I were to pick any book in any stop-motion style, it'd be Henry Selick doing Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Nice
I exist you know
You do?
Asshole
You guys hear something? Sounds like a whiny bitch. meh, probably the wind.
