Hey, London bros, can you keep this one? Tired of this monkey showing up in my shows. Can you put her on one of your panel shows and like, keep her there?
Im afraid of this too.
It seems to be way more in touch with the first 2 seasons, so ill check it out.
I just dont like how everyone seems like cartoonish caricatures instead of realistic people. Might be different once it airs, but that's what i get from the trailer.
Seems like thats only the inciting incident, and the season is about trying to figure out what she did with the kidnappers, and other's coming after her. As well as some election subplot
>Who is the previous season cameo gonna be? >Deaf fella again?
most likely, considering he's been in every season besides the one he wasn't alive to be in
It just didn't feel like fargo. There was no main force for good to hold on to
I suppose Ethelrita was supposed to he that, but she just wasnt very likeable. Tim Olyphant was brilliant, but vastly underutilized in place of characters with no substance , like Chris Rock amd Jason Swarchzman's characters.
The Wizard of Oz episode was incredible Television, though.
I would go as far as to say there is a good season there somewhere, buried under Chris Rock and the fat italian's awful acting.
Wish I had a qt murderous cuntry bumpkin redhead gf though
I actually never watched TD out of spite from the Fargo vs. TD threads back in 2014. I picked a side and never looked back.
Is it time to catch up? I know theyre getting a season 4 with some big actors soon
Fargo obviously came out on top, but it seems average people are more aware of True Detective than Fargo. Which is weird.
TD has higher peaks and lower lows. on average they are about even so far but the awful trailers for TD s04 make it all but certain that fargo will pull ahead now
Nothing will top season 2 for me.
Lou, Dodd, Mike Milligan, Fat Damon, Hanzee, The UFO shit, Cristin Milioti and the season 1 flash foward/Raising Arizona scene. It's fucking perfect.
>women are fucking dangerous, but they're not a physical threat and I'm not going to pretend they are
Maybe you should meet some women other than your mother.
holy shit this season looks fucking terrible, like they've gone so hard towards comedy in the trailer its painful to watch. having said that i'll only be giving it a chance to prove me wrong for only one episode due to the trash fire that was season 4. they squandered any good will they built up just with that season alone
watch trailer for s3, they made it look like a comedy too and it turned out to be something completely different
I don't understand your critique for season 2. Just saying it's a bit too stylized and try-hard? I can see that, but I still think the story and characters are really good.
holy shit this season looks fucking terrible, like they've gone so hard towards comedy in the trailer its painful to watch. having said that i'll only be giving it a chance to prove me wrong for only one episode due to the trash fire that was season 4. they squandered any good will they built up just with that season alone
I liked the loyalty the negro showed to Robert Barone and the loyalty the last Kitchen brother showed to the negro.
I still don't like negros of course.
Fargo is my favorite show but season 4 was so laughably bad that I can't get excited anymore. Jon Hamm is clearly gonna be just another Timothy Olyphant. Every season needs a regular family you're supposed to root for and if that's gonna be some random Pajeeta then I'm out
I don't think I've ever seen a show with so many characters where no one is likable as with Fargo season 4. I'm not too excited for the people in this trailer either honestly. The woman on the run seems kinda fun, but Jon Hamm will clearly be a laughing stock bad guy. The rest are not immediately interesting to me, both as actors and how they're briefly portrayed.
>all these groids, angloids, and other retards with these ridiculous accents so bad it can't even be considered satire
I made it like fucking 20 seconds, but I knew I'd never finish it anyway, knowing it would be the same shit-schlock in terms of plot and execution all the other garbage seasons were.
Anyone else just couldn't get into season 3 ? Season 1 and 2 are kino, watched season 4 because I enjoyed the era but without the connections to the Kansas city mafia it didn't felt really like a Fargo season. But 3 is just so slow and lame I never could get past the first episodes, varga is quotable but they tried way too hard with him
>give up on Fargo after season 4 >read news that Jon Hamm is playing the new lead lawman >"Fuck yes, Noah Hawley is BACK" >trailer finally comes out >Jon Hamm is playing a shitty politician that gets made fun of
It's genuinely like I'm living in a world where nothing can be good anymore.
I love season 3 of fargo and the creativity and stylistic choice for this show but this trailer makes it seem this season will be boring and formulaic previous to other fargo seasons. Will still be seeing it though to see if I'm wrong
Fargo is meant to be formulaic, moron. If you haven't noticed that then you haven't been paying attention. The season that follows the classic formula the least is season 4 and we saw how that turned out.
Season 2 has all the elements of the movie and the first season. The regular small townsfolk caught up in major crime, the pure hearted cop who is almost in disbelief at the evil they set out to stop, the seemingly unstoppable force from out of town wreaking havoc on innocent people who are used to civility. Season 4 is the first time they do away with the formula. The main characters are all already criminals, the cops are bad, the force of evil is some stupid nurse who is barely a threat to anyone, and the one non-criminal family in the season are barely in it and have almost no connection to what's happening. You can always tell who the retard is in Fargo threads by how quick they bring up the aliens.
The show can still be a fargoish type story and still be its own thing which is why I think season 3 is the best. All this trailer reminds me of is what season 2 and 1 did.
>3 sucked >4 sucked >5 is what if the woman from the movie was epic female Kevin McCallister >Multiple shots lifted from the first movie in the trailer alone
Looks gay.
lets just admit Fargo season 2 was lightning in a bottle. Yes the alien reveal was kino it was a season long build up of subtle clues that only a couple autists on Cinemaphile noticed. we all apologised
>Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley told Deadline in May 2021 that season 5 would be “contemporary.” He explained: “I don’t think anyone will write about Minnesota in the same way again after the events of the last couple of years. It’s definitely not going back to, ‘Oh, look at these jolly, carefree white folk in their small towns.’”
I get how it comes across, But Hawley is actually based, ive read his books. He's right in a sense, You write about 2019 Minnesota it's a fucking liberal hellhole.
Reminder that the only "progressive" characters in Fargo (gay) were a homewrecker, who the main character is trying to overcome her struggles with him leaving her. And a lesbian criminal who gets gutshot and bleeds out, her partner gets away, but she's not painted in a positive light either.
The only characters who are shown in positive lights are the virtuous. Lou and Molly, Gus, Carrie Coon, The undertaker family.
I used to have the same impression of Hawley, but the amount of writers who were based 5+ years ago and are now shells of their former selves are too many to count. Or maybe it's just that networks don't give the greenlight to a show about smalltown life and good cops

>le brown bossgirl with a Minnesota accent
how about no
Fargo Livethreads are the comfiest threads on Cinemaphile
You'll be missing out
Anything is better than the dogshit that was Season 4.
You'll regret these words soon enough
lol you're so stupid it's cute. Season 5 will make Season 4 look like Season 1.
U think im cute?
it's over
How
Wasn't sure but then Dave Foley in an eyepatch rocked up and I was in.
She's got that 1970s BMI.
Hey, London bros, can you keep this one? Tired of this monkey showing up in my shows. Can you put her on one of your panel shows and like, keep her there?
>le cute brown bossgirl with a Minnesota accent
Picked up.
Is she native? She is pretty cute.
Based, I always rewatch the seasons when it gets cold outside
>same exact kidnapping scene as the '96 movie except home alone style traps.
Looks good.
last season was disappointing but im happy to give it another chance also juno temple looks like THAT?
looks interesting. havent watched any other seasons
Season 1 and 2 are God tier, 3 is pretty good, 4 is gutter trash.
Have you seen the movie?
yeah i liked the movie
Then you will at least enjoy season 1 for its similar tone. I say give it a shot.
i stopped watching after s3
After season 4 there is zero chance I’m watching this.
Im afraid of this too.
It seems to be way more in touch with the first 2 seasons, so ill check it out.
I just dont like how everyone seems like cartoonish caricatures instead of realistic people. Might be different once it airs, but that's what i get from the trailer.
so it's home alone but with a roastie instead of a kid
Seems like thats only the inciting incident, and the season is about trying to figure out what she did with the kidnappers, and other's coming after her. As well as some election subplot
Who is the previous season cameo gonna be?
Deaf fella again?
Molly?
Maybe finally get William Macy or Frances Mcdormand to cameo?
>Who is the previous season cameo gonna be?
>Deaf fella again?
most likely, considering he's been in every season besides the one he wasn't alive to be in
What was so bad about season 4?
Literally nothing. It was a downward fall from previous seasons, but not as horrible as some on here are saying. It's still fun to watch.
And I agree with everything you just wrote. Judging by the trailer, season 5 will be more interesting.
Is this an AI?
Are there AI replies on Cinemaphile now? I've been gone awhile.
No, why? English isn't my native language, I'm sorry.
Maybe that's what it is, you type very nicely...sorry ESL anon.
I think S5 will be interesting, too 🙂
I would go as far as to say there is a good season there somewhere, buried under Chris Rock and the fat italian's awful acting.
Wish I had a qt murderous cuntry bumpkin redhead gf though
Forgot about her. Her and Josto's execution were kino.
Maybe I should rewatch..
Everything except for Olyphant and the guy from Gomorrah.
the music was incredibly good though
Chris Rock was in it. And he's black. Nuff said.
Jon Hamm = Must Watch Slop
>all these shill replies
looks gay as fuck
Fargo 1 >>>>>> Fargo 3 > Fargo 2 = Fargo 4
>3>2
What’s the one with the German Hillbilly Mafia? Season 2? I forget
Who holds up better: True Detective or Fargo?
I actually never watched TD out of spite from the Fargo vs. TD threads back in 2014. I picked a side and never looked back.
Is it time to catch up? I know theyre getting a season 4 with some big actors soon
Fargo obviously came out on top, but it seems average people are more aware of True Detective than Fargo. Which is weird.
To me Fargo S01E01 is one of the best episodes ever filmed. TD tries very hard to be KINO, while Fargo just is.
TD has higher peaks and lower lows. on average they are about even so far but the awful trailers for TD s04 make it all but certain that fargo will pull ahead now
TD1>F1>F3>TD2=F2>my ass>TD3
>home alone but girlboss
yawn
how the fuck did he do it lads? How do you make a bitch go so insane she tats your name on her.
By banging her on the way to award shows
you cant. you can only expoit a woman who is already batshit crazy
wow...another season of fargo.
It's been 3 years dawg, 6 years since a good season. Let me have it.
>It's been 3 years
what the actual fuck
Maybe Jon Hamm will finally be able to be a convincing action actor without Gal Gadot to distract him.
>indian woman
getting History of Violence vibes here
Nothing will top season 2 for me.
Lou, Dodd, Mike Milligan, Fat Damon, Hanzee, The UFO shit, Cristin Milioti and the season 1 flash foward/Raising Arizona scene. It's fucking perfect.
2 is on a whole other level than the rest. I laugh at people who say 1 is better/just as good because it's simply not in any conceivable form
Season 2 is wholesome chungus shit for Redditors
>wholesome chungus shit
What does this even mean retard?
Lester and Malvo are the best characters in Fargo history. Season 2 just has a lot more great characters.
Malvo was just a way worse and unconvincing Chigurh
>that's not a thing
do they hire tiktok girls to write this shit
FEAR LE STRONK WOMYN
Mary sue badass = shit
Cute psycho midwest killer just trying to hide what she did = kino
Learn the difference
you = fucking redditard shill
women are fucking dangerous, but they're not a physical threat and I'm not going to pretend they are
>women are fucking dangerous, but they're not a physical threat and I'm not going to pretend they are
Maybe you should meet some women other than your mother.
> A woman does something
Oozing reddit
None of the seasons will ever touch the movie
That already happened in 2015
Are my favorite HAMAS killers involved?
looks a lot cheaper than the first two seasons and also everything is giga goofy instead of the usual dry comedy in Fargo
watch trailer for s3, they made it look like a comedy too and it turned out to be something completely different
yea nah its over, literally who cast and more reddit stronk characters
What's wrong with literally whos?
they cant act, and the trailer doesnt give any hope that its a case of undiscovered talent
you posted the same thing for the last 4 seasons anon
wasnt jodie foster supposed to lead this one?
You're thinking of True Detective S4.
oh yeah
alright im unironically stoked
I will never forget them robbing us of Amber Midthunder playing Swanee in Season 4. It would've been kino.
Kino is back on the menu.
Where?
>NOOOO NOT THE BLACKERINOS AND WOMANERINOS I'M BEING GENOCIDED AND I CAN'T BREEEEEED
looking forward to more Fargo kino Fargobros
why? because it had fargo in the title?
because it looks like it will have s01 to s03 level of quality
i think we watched different trailers
i think u r just fishing for (You)s
Dead show
I dunno, I still think they won't top S1 and S2
Akecheta is in it? Fucking sold
>Westworld season 2 convinces him to watch Fargo
Mega gay
Fuck off, I like my Kino. It was an Amazing show and season.
It was slop for pigs. Oink oink piggy
S3 9/10
S1 7/10 (the supermarket king episodes suck)
S2 6/10 (XD GUN GO SHOOTY crap for Tarantino retards)
S4 4/10
I don't understand your critique for season 2. Just saying it's a bit too stylized and try-hard? I can see that, but I still think the story and characters are really good.
>his wife is post-op Elliot from Home Alone
I don't get it.
holy shit this season looks fucking terrible, like they've gone so hard towards comedy in the trailer its painful to watch. having said that i'll only be giving it a chance to prove me wrong for only one episode due to the trash fire that was season 4. they squandered any good will they built up just with that season alone
Holy shit someone should tell Juno Temple you're only supposed to hit the wall once.
Thinking on S2, are there any other show/movies about small time criminal families going to war?
I liked the loyalty the negro showed to Robert Barone and the loyalty the last Kitchen brother showed to the negro.
I still don't like negros of course.
>Show has enforcer goons who are twin brothers
This is always kino whenever it happens.
Justified kinda a bit
Fargo is my favorite show but season 4 was so laughably bad that I can't get excited anymore. Jon Hamm is clearly gonna be just another Timothy Olyphant. Every season needs a regular family you're supposed to root for and if that's gonna be some random Pajeeta then I'm out

Didn't watch the last one, won't be watching this one.
>trailer ends with "that's not a thing"
gross
>all these groids, angloids, and other retards with these ridiculous accents so bad it can't even be considered satire
I made it like fucking 20 seconds, but I knew I'd never finish it anyway, knowing it would be the same shit-schlock in terms of plot and execution all the other garbage seasons were.
seems like just about every tv show that comes out these days is made for women
Anyone else just couldn't get into season 3 ? Season 1 and 2 are kino, watched season 4 because I enjoyed the era but without the connections to the Kansas city mafia it didn't felt really like a Fargo season. But 3 is just so slow and lame I never could get past the first episodes, varga is quotable but they tried way too hard with him
It has some kino episodes towards the end. Much better than anything season 4 has to offer.
Anyone see the 00's fargo pilot with carmella soprano?
Yeah. I actually liked the characterization a lot. But it would have been a weekly procedural crime show, so I'm glad it didnt get picked up.
>give up on Fargo after season 4
>read news that Jon Hamm is playing the new lead lawman
>"Fuck yes, Noah Hawley is BACK"
>trailer finally comes out
>Jon Hamm is playing a shitty politician that gets made fun of
It's genuinely like I'm living in a world where nothing can be good anymore.
i thought it would focus on him. but it seems they did a switcharoo where the crazy unstoppable WOMAN is in charge.
I miss Fargo didnt have weak MEN characters and strong WOMAN characters..oh wait
After season 4 it's hard to be hyped. didn't like any of the characters and I didn't care about the story. I don't know what they were thinking there
I love season 3 of fargo and the creativity and stylistic choice for this show but this trailer makes it seem this season will be boring and formulaic previous to other fargo seasons. Will still be seeing it though to see if I'm wrong
Fargo is meant to be formulaic, moron. If you haven't noticed that then you haven't been paying attention. The season that follows the classic formula the least is season 4 and we saw how that turned out.
Classic formula of random aliens in season 2.
Season 2 has all the elements of the movie and the first season. The regular small townsfolk caught up in major crime, the pure hearted cop who is almost in disbelief at the evil they set out to stop, the seemingly unstoppable force from out of town wreaking havoc on innocent people who are used to civility. >Multiple shots lifted from the first movie in the trailer alone
Looks gay.
It looks fun and I'll watch it but considering how shit S04 was I'm convinced it won't be good.
Practically is a reboot of Home Alone.
lets just admit Fargo season 2 was lightning in a bottle. Yes the alien reveal was kino it was a season long build up of subtle clues that only a couple autists on Cinemaphile noticed. we all apologised
i've had enough of woman playing men's roles. i'll probably skip this. doesn't look interesting.
seems like they'll never be able to match the subtle comedy of the movie and season 1 again
>Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley told Deadline in May 2021 that season 5 would be “contemporary.” He explained: “I don’t think anyone will write about Minnesota in the same way again after the events of the last couple of years. I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate everything
