The 4k remaster of these movies looks so fricking bad. Hackson DNR'd the movies to hell and changed the color timing to make them look more in line with the ugly ass Hobbit movies.
That was my first post ITT schizo and yes, the remasters do in fact look ugly as frick. All the grit and grain has been completely removed which makes the CG stand out like a sore thumb. Also the extended editions suck dick and both Two Towers and Return of the King have aged like shit.
everyone knows the best part of the film or rather films is the third act of FOTR. The first act is almost equally good but it's not like the rest have a huge dropoff either.
